I was underwhelmed by both but since Jeff actually had to hit his mark and the other guy just triggered samples.....Jeff wins. I can play rhythm with my left hand and trigger samples with my right. The programming is the difficult part of sampling. What I can't do is ever get a record to go back to the original point. It takes a lighter touch than I can achieve.

This is barely news. The headline needs "sort of" added to the end. Seeing Nintendo evolve is like watching a baby grow up. This would be on par with saying Nintendo is potty trained because one time it poo pooed in the potty while it was strapped to a toilet all day.

Seeing Yeahs in your activity stream just cheapened their high value. Plus you could see how little it takes for your followees to get excited.

My daughter hasn't even had her first birthday yet but she's already played WiiU and 3DS. Don't worry Reggie, we'll indoctrinate errr introduce them...you just keep the content flowing.

Since the GBA games are starting to flow I want to see Nintendo work with Konami to get Ninja Five-O released for VC. I missed it the first time, it can't be worth the Ebay pricex.

I watched 3 hours or so today. It's something to do. I was convinced yesterday that Bill Trinen is either a big jerk or a robot. He looks evil. I'm still looking forward to Shovelknight even though $14.99 seems a little steep. I feel like it was a disappointment with no Metroid/FZero and Star Fox at LEAST a year away. I'm not into Smash or Zelda so it looks like I'll have to wait till next year.

I have the demo and I think it stinks. I loved Animal Crossing, got addicted till I felt I'd accomplished all I could and got bored with it. They are very different. This is closer to a dumbed down version of The Sims in my opinion.

Blue Shells are designed to take out the person in 1st place, now that's unfair! Bunny hoppin...meh. I'm starting the rumor you can do this in MK7 too.

I got up to 55 and then quit! Fun times.

I really wish that they would just remove friendly fire from the game or make it damage the one doing it. I'm interested in seeing the new subs and the new multiplayer stage. I'd like to know what level I'd be on if it went over Lv 99.

I can't even post it to Miiverse yet. It's sort of a dumbed down Sims. The demo is short. You buy food at the store, feed it to the Miis. They either like it or don't. You can decorate their homes with premade designs, they ask you questions. You can customize their voices a little bit. There just wasn't much happening in the demo to me.

I was one of the lucky platinum members who got the free demo. I thought the game looked uninteresting. I played the demo to completion (maybe an hour). I do not think I'll be picking it up based on the demo. A young child might enjoy it though.

I'm ready for a Nintendo phone, but instead of a slide out keyboard...a slide out controller!

I'm changing my status on this game from not buying to not caring. I think it's a more accurate representation of my apathy.

Weird, mine always said I could not view that content through web browser and to click the Miiverse icon in the main menu.

Another update that seems to have gone unnoticed is that you can now access the web version of Miiverse from the WiiU web browser. I'm probably the only one who finds this handy.

As stated, yay 3rd party support and all but...didn't we say everything we need to with the first one?

I tried to test it with Facebook. It said it worked...but it didn't.

Aria of Sorrow is still in my Gameboy Advance SP and Metroid Fusion spent a lot of time in there too. Anyone tried playing GBA after getting a 3DS XL? I can't believe how small that screen was.

I think Nintendo will have one very successful free to play and one less so successful this year. Sub Wars is awesome.

Every week we line up with our money and our hopes. Every week we're disappointed. I do love Galaga ever since I played the cocktail table Galaga/Ms Pacman machine when I was a kid but I don't want it as the star release for virtual console. That said...pinball.

I think it does reward the better (skillful) players with leveling up and unlocking different subs. I think it's great and worth the $10. Nintendo is trying to make money off of it, nothing wrong with that. But a skillful player with a free sub has only a slight disadvantage, if any,over a paid user. Free to play, but not pay to win.

Nintendo could probably make more money asking for donations than trying to sell this virtual console garbage.

It's worth the $0.00. Not sure about $9.99 for full version.

Today Nintendo is expected to announce they are being sold to Disney like everything else you loved as a child and Boba Fett will be playable in Mario Kart 8. Also there will be cake.

Do you ever wonder if Nintendo is intentionally trying to fail? I would love to see the faked enthusiasm that must exist in their meetings. Bring us the heads of the virtual console team! Then fire them.

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. We'll see if they get a Nintendo Direct mention. At this point Nintendo would be happy to have 3rd party support from anyone.

I wonder why they never made an inflatable Wii girlfriend. Maybe that'll be their new non wearable product.

@MixMasterMudkip I think that's his angle. It'll be met with more apathy. The 3DS has a higher install base so if he's looking to squeeze pennies he's barking up the wrong tree. Can you imagine anyone ever saying, "You know, I want a PS4...but Wii U is gonna get DS games so I'll buy that instead"?

Iwata says that DS games will drive hardware sales of Wii U by showing off the second screen experience....that's just stupid. There's right way and a wrong way to relive the glory days. Pretty sure this is the wrong way.

The hardcore AC people buy two so they can trade with themselves and acquire more goods. I never played one before New Leaf but it hooked me. It's addictive. Perfect pick up and play. I've got over 1200 hours in now...it's a little sad.

Animal Crossing was robbed by the RPG nerds. I know so many people who bought 2 or more 3DSes just for AC. But the big winner is....everyone! Happy New Year Nintendolifers!

I can finally access the 3DS eshop. The trailer for Mario Tennis is actually for Mario bros. I'm guessing people have been working so hard that they're getting sloppy.

As much as everyone is freaking out, I'm sure Nintendo is freaking out worse. They're losing tons of money in casual impulse buys right now. In the entire time I've had my 3DS I've never seen an outage this long. I just feel bad for the people trying to download their Link Between Worlds digital copies. Enjoy your Face Raiders and AR games you poor souls.
