It does seem a little late but I guess they can start aiming for the tax return crowd in the U.S. soon. I was discussing Wii U with my mom and she told me she thought it was a portable because of the gamepad and since her grandchildren had 3DS already they wouldnt need it.
I went to Best Buy last night to pick up ZombiU for $15. I thought all WiiU systems sold except the dusty Nintendoland bundles. Then I walked around the corner and saw a stack of about 50 WiiU Mario bundles with a few missing from the top. So who knows. Zelda bundles have been selling it appears. The good thing is that stack still counts as units sold I would think on Nintendo's end. Either way, we should at least get another year out of the system before they give it up even if it doesn't sell well this shopping season.
I love Nintendo. I've owned/bought almost every system they've released with blind faith. But I do not have Wii U. It seems to me that Wii U owners are being treated as second class citizens by publishers. What's worse is that even with a miracle holiday season there are still no 3rd party games in development to sustain it. Games take time to develop. The Wii has a great virtual console, it seems Nintendo is flushing money down the toilet by not filling the Wii U and 3DS eshops with virtual cashcows. In short, I'm worried.
I got a new house today in the happy home showcase but it had only 2 rooms. One obviously a Pikmin 3 tribute and one seemed Donkey Kong themed but nowhere near as awesome as the European house.

I notice I can't view 3DS communities on Wii U but can view my favorited Wii U communities from 3DS....funk dat.
