Re: Editorial: Mighty No. 9 and High Profile Disappointments Don't Invalidate Crowdfunding

NintendoFan64

Let's just remember that Kickstarter can be risky, but that doesn't mean that it is inheritently bad. It's the developers job to make sure they get everything squared away, and I can guarantee you that in the years to come, Mighty No. 9 will be remembered as a perfect example of how NOT to manage a Kickstarter game. And there have been great games to come out of it, and games that look great coming out of it in the future.
@sketchturner Agreed. Shovel Knight is just amazing.
@Dave24 Just leave the backers alone. They just wanted a new Megaman game, and they had no idea that Inafune would **** this up on such a gigantic scale. So sue them.

Re: E3 2016: Reggie Says VR "Needs to be Mainstream" For Nintendo To Get Involved

NintendoFan64

Not gonna lie, I don't see VR taking off that big anytime soon. There's just some serious problems I see with it: the price, the fact that only specific games could work with it, I don't really think most people would be able to handle having a giant screen strapped to their heads for too long, the fact that it creates isolation from everyone around them, and, yeah...I don't see it taking off that well.

Re: E3 2016: Check Out the Paper Mario: Color Splash E3 Trailer

NintendoFan64

Well, I'm going to look at the positives: I just saved some money! Seriously, to those who aren't happy with the way this game looks, DO NOT GIVE NINTENDO YOUR MONEY! Show them that no, you are not happy with the direction this series is heading! Show them that the Sticker Star formula does. Not. WORK. Show them that you miss the Paper Mario games of old! Show them!

Re: Nintendo Announces E3 eShop Discount Plans and Miitomo x The Legend of Zelda Promotion

NintendoFan64

@Lord Question: was that confirmed by Nintendo that Eshop purchases can't be transferred, or is that just a rumor? I'm guessing it's the latter. And, hey! If that's true, then why not take the discount as a chance to get those games NOW? And why would not being able to transfer them to the NX affect you playing them? Do any of them interest you? Because if so, then go ahead and get them!

Re: Rumour: Adventure Time, Sonic, Goonies, Harry Potter And More Coming To Lego Dimensions 2

NintendoFan64

Okay...would it be original Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls, or reboot Teen Titans and Powerpuff Girls? Seriously, this is a very important question. There is quite a difference between the two. Also, not sure if I'd be all that thrilled over the Ghostbusters reboot making an appearance, but hey! At least we got the originals! Also, that is a lot of ips. I really hope this rumor is true. Really interested in what Sonic would look like.

Re: Video: These Fan-Made Concepts For Splatoon, Animal Crossing And Mario Kart Should Give Nintendo Pause For Thought

NintendoFan64

@Syrek24 Look, it's apparent that the guy is a bit of a...phalic object, but to say that "true fans" have to constantly accept all of Nintendo's decisions, and aren't allowed to criticize them? NO! That is not okay! You have every right to criticize them whenever they screw up, and do not have to agree with everything they do (I thought that E3 2015 was terrible, and don't really like some of Miyamoto's decisions in recent years. I guess I'm not a "true fan"!). And besides, it's perfectly reasonable for some people to be a little upset with the company, since some of their decisions lately have been...questionable. Those mistakes they make every now and again? Yeah, they've been a bit more frequent than usual between this year and last year, Such as the entirety of E3 2015, their abysmal rewards program, Wii U pretty much being left in the dust for the remainder of the year, and several games that are bad, or just completely ignored fan-feedback (you know which ones I'm talking about). That doesn't make Josh's actions excusable (in fact, they're rather childish), but still, to say that people absolutely have to "roll with the punches", and pretty much have to agree with everything the company does...it's just ridiculous.

Re: Editorial: With Lowered Expectations E3 Can Still Be Full of Nintendo Magic

NintendoFan64

I'm excited to see more Zelda and Pokemon, but...I still can't help but be a little dissapointed. I don't know, this just seems a bit bare bones. At least this year we won't see any games that feel like a slap to the face, such as Amiibo Festival, but I'm just a little let down...I don't know. I here that those other games are just being included, and there MIGHT be more, but who knows.
@Marce2240 I think that one of the main reasons people hated Federation Force so much is because it's been six years since we've gotten a new Metroid (nine since the last Metroid game that's been considered good), and all we're getting is a spin-off that really doesn't look much like Metroid...and the fact that this year is the 30th anniversary of the series doesn't exactly help much. As for Color Splash, I know it's a bit too early to judge, but...c'mon! The warning signs are all there! I would love to be proven wrong, but as it stands, it's probably going to just be Sticker Star 2...despite people absolutely hating Sticker Star (Seriously, why would you make a game that looks exactly like a game that everyone hated? Do you really think that's going to work out well?).

Re: Talking Point: 3DS Homebrew Development Causes Another Game Takedown as Nintendo Maintains Its Tight Grip

@Jin15 "However, the small percentage of people who do use said software to pirate games generally aren't willing to pay full retail price for games anyway so it's not as if Nintendo is going to lose any sales on their account."
Here's what I have to say to those people: Tough s***. Just because you don't want to pay the full price doesn't give you the excuse to pirate games.
