E3 2016: Nintendo Unveils Seven New Super Mario Series amiibo, Including Waluigi

I'm gonna get Rosalina ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), The more Rosalina stuff in my collection, the better ;3

I'll get Boo, Rosalina, and my waifu Daisy.

Q) Are you planning to grab any of these in November?

A) I'm unsure if I'd grab them in November, or even grab them myself at all. Amiibo's tend to be great things to put on my Christmas/Birthday list because there within the under £20 range and easy to find.

I definitely want the Daisy amiibo, and perhaps the Waluigi amiibo. That said, my younger brother may want the latter, so I might get it for him instead.

As for the other 5, might as well wait a month, they'll be down to $5. Those are niche amiibo, much like the AC ones are and are now in the clearance bin.

Saturation point has already hit with amiibo, Nintendo better finish some movies ASAP.

I doubt I'll get them unless if they have a big use in an upcoming game that I'm interested in.

Meanwhile, still waiting on Cloud and Bayonetta, but we get 4 more reskins.

Glow in the dark Boo and Bayonetta are now the two amiibo on my want list. Boo would go so well with my glowing Boo N3DS plates.

3 of these amiibo were revealed last year.

Boo seems super weirdly out of place, I think because it's so small in comparison. But does this mean we might get a Koopa Amiibo down the line? Maybe even Dry Bones?

Maybe if Nintendo does announce more MK8 DLC, the update patch for it will include Mii costumes for the new amiibo? If it means Diddy comes back in some way shape or form, I'll take it.

Fingers crossed for a black Friday sale or any group sale for them. that way I can get half of that series (and maybe others) without breaking my wallet, or more realistic make me think in not breaking my wallet.

I'll be getting all of them... eventually, as I'm a Nintendo collector. Only missing three of the new Kirby ones out of all of them!

Darn you nintendo! I can't afford to buy all these! I drooled over the zelda amiibos now this! I just picked up the kirby ones too. On top of all everything announced (I own all 3 systems) I'm gonna be very poor.

What's weird is..I have a Japanese mario party 10 advert which actually pictures the wario/waluigi/daisy and this Rosalind amiibo with all the other Mario amiibo..so they've been in the pipe line for a year or so

The MP10 Rosalina was first revealed back in February 2015 before being announced again today.

@ThomasBW84 You should add the European release plan as well. It is the 7th of October for Boo, Donkey Kong, Rosalina, and Wario while Waluigi, Diddy Kong, and Daisy will follow on the 4th of November.

@Sanicranfast Elsa and Anna were actually 1.0 characters! I remember them sitting on their peg hooks in the store and collecting dust...and then the movie came out, and they were consistently sold out in many places I saw.

Really wish they'd hammer the nails into this crap!!! This has nothing to do with gaming. . make action figures on the side ... Fine ... but dressing it up as DLC that's worth bout 50p is really just exploiting kids and unsuspecting parents! ... Or maybe I'm just a grumpy ole cynic!

Yessss! I want Rosalina sooooo much! I have been looking for her forever. I am hoping this set is not exclusive to only certain stores. Last time, Rosalina was exclusive to Target. She sold out quick, never to be seen again. Except on eBay and Amazon for $40+.

Not to sure about Waluigi. I'm pretty concerned about it coming to life during a full moon and trying to kill me.

I'm just glad that the Mario Party 10 pose Wario, Donkey Kong and Rosalina amiibo are FINALLY being released (I'd given up hope). All of the other characters are a nice bonus (particularly that glow-in-the-dark Boo!).

I really want Waluigi, but it'd be the first time i've gotten an amiibo that doesn't work with any of my games (I already have the Waluigi costume in Mario Maker, and I'm not buying Ultra Smash unless they finish making it)

Are they ever going to actually use Wario, Waluigi, and Daisy in mainline games anytime soon? At least Rosalina was an unlockable character in Super Mario 3D World.

I'm going to start collecting the Super Mario Series even though I don't have any games to use these figures for. I just love the figures!

I hope these are compatible with Mario Party 10. It would give a kind of boost to that game. I don't dislike that much the whole being together on a kart thing, o i am willing to give it a try for the amiibo mode and bowser party.

@ghasfarost All of them save Diddy Kong and Boo are compatible with MP10 since all playable characters in MP10 have their own amiibo party board, while the two I mentioned aren't playable in MP10. And this entire wave of Mario amiibo save for Diddy is compatible with Mario Tennis Ultra Smash as again, all but Diddy are playable and can be made into an amiibo doubles partner. Though now that I point it out, this Diddy amiibo is pretty much just a reskin which I guess all of those that were in Smash are, but unlinke the others, there's no real reason to opt for this one over the Smash one besides aesthetic preference since there and there isn't really a gameplay (ie memory on the chip) reason to warrant buying 2.

Waluigi finally reigns as an amiibo! One of the few surprises I was hoping would happen.

Going to get Wario and Daisy, and might upgrade to this new Rosalina too.
