"Because five is too few"
How am I supposed to write witty obnoxious comments if you take all the best ones for yourself? Going to go make a sandwich then BRB to watch.
@rjejr Journalism is a game of chess, and I'm thinking four moves ahead.
I think I'd rather let most of them pass me by. I watched it yesterday, not all of it though. Enough to leave me impressed, I don't want to spoil it even if what was on display yesterday was only 1% of the overall content.
@AlexOlney What if I thought five moves ahead.
Checkmate.
The last fact is obviously the most important
@AlexOlney Great minds think alike, I posted earlier today that the ducks were my favorite part.
"My favorite part of the trailer - by far - was the ducks in the pond, looked almost real."

And I will now spend the next 9 months thinking about that rock. Which Google can't find a picture of, but my son says it is a giant chuchu waiting to attack, so close enough.
Great vid as always Alex. Now breath.
I knew it was revolutionary the moment I saw those ducks.
You're a YouTube mastermind Alex, never stop.
"Ducks are in the game."
GOOD.
"This rock looks a bit dodgy"
"Link can run round in his pants"
These are my favorite quotes.
There are Rupees, I saw it in the stream.
what if Link's right handed because this takes place after SS, Maybe not a direct sequel, that would explain why the world is so wild w/ not many people... like after he and zelda establish on earth the original ganon is born somewhere and before the world can be saved and stuff the floating islands had to return to earth with the master sword and stuff...
so thats why link had to sleep
Alex you're adorable! ❤
Can't wait for this game!!
As a Breath of Fire character, I approve the new Zelda title ahahah...ahah.hahaaa...
I think it has to be after Skyward Sword. "Birthplace of the kingdom" seems to suggest it is where Skyloft landed when they were brought down. Maybe he was put to sleep because they knew Demise was returning so had to make sure Link did.
The only thing that gives me pause is that old man looks JUST like the King of Red Lions human form...
Hahahaaa, what a great vid!!! Alex, you're the man. Very entertaining stuff.
"This rock looks a bit dodgy" --- I was dying.
Rough candid vids are the best. Out of everyone at NintendoLife, PushSquare, and PureXbox, you're my favorite, Alex!
I'm thinking it takes place after Skyward Sword too. The whole birth of Hyrule thing, AND Sheikah were still around and a big deal since SS. As far as we know, by Wind Waker, they were already extinct.
On topic: The new Zelda game may have disappointed some people, but Alex's videos always deliver!
@Captain_Gonru I don't even know what that means but it's still funny, I'll ask my kid. He said he didn't know why it was funny, but he said they shoot electric. That kid has no sense of humour.
2 days of people debating where this lies in the timeline is funny too. I might play this, I might not, but "timeline" for a Zelda game never crosses my mind. Though I suppose if I played those WW sequels on handhelds it might, but this looks fairly stand alone to me.
@AlexOlney Great minds think alike apparently xD #ducksconfirmed

Odd that a lorry drove by my house the exact moment Alex was interrupted by a lorry......of course not the exact moment but you get what I'm saying
Anyway I can't wait to go "duck hunting" with wolf link as my dog......there better be an Easter Egg there or I've lost all faith in Nintendo
@Gerbwmu hahaa, wow that's an awesome thought.
Although...I don't know how well of a retriever a wolf makes lol.
@Captain_Gonru It'll probably come to me while I'm trying to go to sleep tonight, these things always do.
I don't think there are any NPCs, it's just Zelda: Don't Starve.
@rjejr - pretty sure it is similar to visiting a doctor if you have an issue that lasts more then 4 hours
@Gerbwmu @Captain_Gonru Thank you Gerbwmu, go it now. This is what happens when I try to take my my mind out of the gutter for a day and focus on the games rather than the players.
I did not make this video on youtube.

@AlexOlney Five-tea facts are better than five! Thanks for the laugh.

50. I just failed mathclass
I like how Alex and I are from opposite ends of the world but we both say 'no-no-no-no-no-' with the same tones of confidence and false reassurance.
Erm, you can cook food, and there are ducks? Any Hoi Sin Sauce bushes around?
If only one character is voiced (probably Zelda), why did they even bother?! No, there must be a bit more.
All your kind words have really given me a boost of energy in this very energy-draining time, thank you!
@Captain_Gonru - you had me at....first round is on you!
@Captain_Gonru "Anyone else ready to get off the emotional roller coaster of the last seven days and just lose them selves in a pint or three?"
I'm ready for E3 to be over so we can get back to what really matters, NX leaks and rumours. And I'm only half kidding. Zelda may be great, and Paper Mario appeals to me and mine, but Wii U is still deader than dead, time to move on. We'll be getting Skylanders and Lego Dimensions on PS4. And FFXV. I think that's it for this year. I'd be more hyped for Zelda if it was holiday 2016. Which feels very much like deja vu from last year, when I was saying Ninteod's holiday schedule would be much better if SFZ and Zelda U were out then, instead we got Mario Tennis and AC:aF. I'm not sure Wii U even HAS a holiday schedule, PM Oct 7th is kinda early for "holiday". We'll finish that over Columbus Day weekend. And what if we want to wait for Zelda NX? I'm still not convinced it will be the better version, it won't be w/o a 2nd screen - I need my maps, Tomb Raider is lost w/o a 2nd screen - but what if Zelda NX IS better? Then all of this Zelda U stuff is just a waste as far as supporting Wii U goes. Good for Zelda, good for Ntineod, nothing for Wii U.
But if you're buying, I'm in.
@rjejr - Honestly I enjoyed E3 for what it was. I like dreaming big, but my expectations and wildest hopes are 2 very different things. Nintendo gave me what I thought they would and even a few surprises. Now back to the endless NX rumors, constant articles about my Wii U's death, and the endless wait for the Direct which will answer all of the current questions surrounding Nintendo.
@AlexOlney Sorry to bother you Alex, I know it's been a long few days to say the least, but I'm extremely troubled about the Gamepads screen use, or lack there of, in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and I am anointing you "keeper of Zelda U knowledge".
So is it really true, no Gamepad map like we saw in Dec 2014? Its only really used for off tv play now? Not even inventory management? Nothing? This game was supposed to be built from the ground up for Wii U.
http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/no-map-on-gamepad-but-pro-controller-support-for-breath-of-the-wild
Was all of this map use a lie?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SECWlFInyFM
If the screen is used only for off-Tv play, then NX no screen controller must be confirmed. I don't really care about NX right now, but no map, or inventory swapping, a black screen? That's just too much to bare. Might as well go play Minecraft.
Lol, that skeletal arm. As a weapon?! Lovely, the development-team is really on fire!
@AlexOlney In #44 you mentioned that most streams/videos don't do the graphics justice and that's exactly what I thought (and what I discussed with a friend). I looked for HD videos but they still look muddy, not like the real thing.
As someone who has played the actual thing, do you maybe have a link to a video that truely represents the graphical gorgeousness of the game?
Thanks in advance.
The Sheika stone is interesting. It's pretty much confirmation that the NX will be a home console with a gamepad type controller!
