Re: Pokémon Company Press Site Lists Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon For Switch As Well As 3DS

It does seem like a really odd mistake to make. I suppose it's possible that the PR department isn't told the exact date beforehand (for anti-leak reasons?) so someone went ahead and wrote out "Nintendo 3DS: TBA; Nintendo Switch: TBA," and when the announcement happened, they quickly filled in the 3DS date and forgot to wipe the Nintendo Switch Part. They probably had the logos already, though, so it still seems weird that they wouldn't have the other details, unless maybe they received the logos from the higher-ups at the same time the Direct happened. It's a very unusual mistake.

Re: Editorial: An Empty Box is $5 and a Dock is $89 - Welcome to Switchonomics

You stay "most of us will buy them anyway," but I flat out refuse. I won't buy 1-2 Switch, a Pro Controller, an extra set of joy cons, and an extra dock until they've dropped the price dramatically; perhaps to $30 for 1-2 Switch, $50 for a Pro Controller, $50 for a dock, and I'll just wait until Nintendo releases a LoZ Edition joycon set that I can't pass up. I will not support and can't afford the prices they have now.

I mean, to think that I'll eventually want 4 pro controllers, yet I'll have to pay $280 (Basically a Nintendo Switch) for asp of them? I only paid $87.50 total for my Wii U Pro Controllers, thanks to that awesome mega clearance they had in 2013.

Re: New Splatoon 2 Squid Sisters Stories Chapter Reveals Drifting Relationship

Nicolai

I'm sensing a trend here. They set up the last chapter making you think that they split up because the splatfest created inferiority issues between them, but now we know that is not the case. Now it's setting up to look like their careers just drifted apart as they each took solo gigs, but I bet next chapter we'll find that it's much more complicated than that.

Re: SwitchCharge Is A Case Which Gives Your Nintendo Switch 12 Hours Of Stamina

@Equinox @Steven_the_2nd You say that IndieGogo doesn't refund the donation if it fails, but I did some research on the site, and discovered that this is not the case.

On their support page,
under Refunds, it says "If you contributed to a fixed funding campaign that did not met its goal, your refund will be sent automatically within 5-7 business days of the campaign's deadline."

The campaigner is responsible for refunds only in the event of an achieved goal, or if the campaign is a "flexible goal," where the campaigner is allowed to adjust the rewards in the event of a failed goal. However, the SwitchCharge page clearly states an $80,000 fixed goal, and when clicked, says "This campaign will only receive funds if at least $80,000 USD is raised by its deadline."

Re: Round Up: Yooka-Laylee's Scores Are In, And Critics Appear Divided

I'm sorry to hear all this; it's sounds like someone like me who didn't grow up with Banjo Kazooie might not enjoy this. This game certainly won't win me over with charm, so it was the fundamentals I was hoping to appreciate.

The real unfortunate thing is that I don't really know if I would like it or not without playing it myself, but I'm not willing to take a chance on it right now. I hope when it comes to the Switch that it has a free demo.

Re: Nintendo Apparently Told Square "Never Come Back" After Losing Final Fantasy VII To Sony

Nicolai

A company is made up of a lot of people. I'm sure people throughout Nintendo thought differently about it, and someone in nintendo said one thing, where someone else said another. Though, In the business world, it's still all reflective of the company.

Also, for those complaining that this is clickbait: did the article not deliver what the title promised? They even put in the word "apparently." People at square said Nintendo was cold to them, and that was as big of a deal as I was expecting.
