Nowadays, it seems like people will do just about anything to make a quick buck. The Nintendo Switch Preview that took place in NYC this past weekend was—in some ways—a historical moment for the company, as it was the first time ever that the public was given a chance to try out the new console. Plenty of cheap promotional goodies were handed out at the event, and now it seems that one of the attendees is trying to hawk something off.
A small, 8 oz water bottle with the Nintendo Switch logo is being auctioned off on eBay right now for $100. Nobody's made an offer yet, but there's a handful that are watching it. The description is what makes it, though:
Up for sell is a Bottle of water from the nintendo switch event in nyc.
This item is unused and in mint condition.
The water was bottled at a natural spring.
It's clear, 8 full ounces. It makes for a great shelf item for any hardcore nintendo fan.
If you really want it for what I describe it for make offers and message me why you want it. My rating is not based on sales but my prices and customer service.
Feel free to make offers and ask questions.
There's no refunds.
8 full ounces. You just can't make this stuff up.

What an age we live in
Well, one day people might find a case. It might actually be WAY more collectable, then...
@jedisquidward
We live in troubled times...
For feck sake, people will try and sell anything
Here your chance, and from NYC as well.
I thought you couldn't sell food/drink on ebay?
Don't drink the NS Kool-Aid, err, water, folks.
Save your money for the lint on the front row seat of the presentation.
It's people like this who really get under my skin, I was unfortunate to get an invitation to the London event, but when I see things like this it makes me mad that some genuine Nintendo gamers missed out on these events to these people who very likely would sell the photos or bottled air!
LOL XD
Actually I can print the Switch logo from internet, with a little magic of editing and voila...! You can make your Switch Aqua by yourself.
I'll take eight!
Oh Aerona, finally you're becoming a crafty consumer!
$100! Curse you and yet another overpriced Switch accessory from you, Ninteeeendooooo! XD
That's all well and good, but will it have 3rd party support?
Nintendo water comes with a drink holder.
When the water is docked inside the drink holder it is cooler and flows at 60fps.
Typical Nintendo again, if it was a Playstation event you'd get 32 ounces.
It's not even all water, the operating system... I mean bottle... takes some of the weight.
Well, I've seen stories of worse stuff being auctioned off online... this is actually not too bad in comparison.
Hell 2 the nO!
Can't say the company doesn't give you what you need some of the time. This here is proof! Water! Glorious water! Now if only this person would bite the bullet and ship it off to a third world country for free.
"A fool and his money are soon parted."
10 syllables of rocket-speed wisdom.
Hmmm $100? Well... I am really thirsty...

People sell anything these days
@UK-Nintendo That one i can kinda understand, the pin badge is collectable.
But a tiny bottle of water, which anyone could just print off a label is just stupid.
@Bunkerneath a lot of money for a badge
<--- Will accept £380
Actually, I don't think I would. I'm keeping the badge!
@UK-Nintendo If I am going to be perfectly honest, if I wasn't already trying to save up enough money to actually buy what the pin the advertising.... I probably would splurge just to own that, as a pin collector....
I'm an idiot
EDIT: Well.... I just bought a pin for £20, so I was 40% correct.
I grabbed one on ebay for 20 bucks. I know that seems like a lot to some for a stupid item but I actually think it's quite a unique and collectible piece. Imagine if nintendo had an unveil event for nes and gave out bottles of water. Those things would be very sought after nowadays me thinks. Especially NIB (new in bottle lol). So say what you will, but for 20 bucks, I'm excited to add this to my collection. The nintendo world/ nintendo NY shelf specifically.
@UK-Nintendo
I want that limited edition !
Crazy world. I'll keep myself mine

First a Nintendo Wii U cardboard box, now this.
Neeeeeeeeeed water! Lol
@Aerona hehe good old Zoidberg - that episode was on in Australia last night!
I would seriously buy this if the actual Switch wasn't so expensive!
Now we know why people go to these events.
If there are people crazy enough to buy this kind of stuff, why not?
@UK-Nintendo
Wow...!
What is inside that Red Switch square box ?
@Anti-Matter just a pin badge. Nice thing to have for free but I would never pay 50 pounds
I've been actually seeing a ton of these on eBay recently, along with other nyc or uk Switch event collectibles, but a water bottle with a sticker is just plain silly
What is wrong with humanity nowadays....
Greedy but understandable. We live in an age where scalpers were born every minute.
Uh I rather print it myself. Making such bottle is cheap and doesn't require any special skill.
haha mine is empty sitting in my recycle bin. I should dig it out and see what I can get for it
More fool anyone who buys it. I'd love to have one of those pin badges or a lanyard but I'm not going to pay for it. I want to be able to say "this is from when I first played Nintendo Switch" not someone else's unwanted stuff, taking advantage of their privileged experience to make a profit.
People will buy anything these days.
Someone seriously wouldn't be dense enough to buy that.
Who am I kidding. This is the internet.
Couldn't you find the manufacturer and print your own?
I will likely buy a lanyard off of ebay as is my obsession... but water? That better have crystal pepsi in it.
EDIT: Woo not for those prices. I'll wait until some Americans off load their swag.
So what's worse, this, or $25,000 for a legless Peach amiibo?
Remember when people thought bottled water would never sell? And now this...
@KiWiiU_Freek When you pour it into a glass, you can even count the number of ice cubes in your hand!
Well, someone bought it.
I mean, you gotta get the $300 for your preorder somehow. If you have an EXCLUSIVE BOTTLE OF WATER and someone is willing to pay a third of that for it more power to you.
say what you want but i was the one who actually bought it.
i think it will be a cool addition to my game room.
ive never payed that much for water before but first time for everything i guess
Wait a arceus damn minute Mitch. You say a handful are watching it? Only sellers can see how many watchers an item has.
