Re: Cuphead's 'Delicious Last Course' DLC Will Arrive 'When It's Ready'

I think they had regular delays, the Netflix deal happened, and they'll now launch at or near the show's release. I also expect (despite their "hard game" ethos) the DLC will include an easy mode option for the full game as they will want the property to be as accessible as possible for a large audience.

I really believe they are transitioning from being an innovative indie game company to one that has a character they want to see join Sonic, Mega Man, Mario, etc. as a cultural placement. And the DLC release will now be a part of that.

Re: Cadence Of Hyrule Gets 3 DLC Packs, Season Pass And A Physical Edition

I hope they up the save slots. I've got a main game save with Octavo, a dungeon crawl with Link, and a dungeon crawl with Zelda. I like playing on all these and I'm RIDICULOUSLY excited about the DLC. But 3 save slots with so much content is a problem.

Btw, is it weird that Cadence has SURPASSED my love for the (excellent!) Link's Awakening to take the solid #2 Zelda this generation for me?

Re: Feature: 8 Games That Could Really Benefit From A Modern Remake On Switch

@Magician The game would absolutely need to be rebuilt top to bottom as swipes and spins with the stylus were crucial to combat throughout. I would just add that for all the kvetching about the 3DS control scheme, it never bothered me in the slightest (play while seated, pillow/cushion on my lap for the right side of the 3DS to rest on, control the d-pad with my left hand, stylus with my right... no stress or hand cramps at all).

I was iffy on Mr. Driller: DrillLand's price, but bought it based on NL's rating. Holy cow... I'm sleep deprived based on the number of hours I've logged on it. If the puzzle mechanic lands with you, get ready to be sucked into this game like few others.

Re: Paper Mario: The Origami King Features A Seamless Open World And "Huge Maps"

@mariomaster96 That's what I'm hoping for. ALBW did a great job of balancing open exploration with clearly defined (but accessible) progression points. Sticker Star and Color Splash had required progression points with frustratingly obtuse requirements for progression.

I don't mind challenge, hard puzzles, etc. But clarity is essential in an adventure game. This hopefully has that.

Re: King Of Kong's Stars Rack Up Personal Best Scores Within Days Of Each Other

Okay, Billy is a scoundrel but...

"New personal best tonight for the King of Kong: 1,092,100 points. The basement dwellers can talk from their keyboards. I’ll continue to smash out scores and keep winning. Billy Mitchell always has a plan."

This is GOLD. When King of Kong came out, I said that Billy Mitchell was the greatest screen villain since the original incarnations of Darth Vader and Hannibal Lector. I stand by this assessment. Long live Billy.

Obviously the human and economic costs of the pandemic are the real concern... but it's also sad how much it will push back theme parks, live shows, movies, concerts, etc. I don't expect SNW to open in the US for a decade. We may return to normal in a year or so. Rebooting all these industries will take much, much longer 😥.

Re: Star Wars Episode l: Racer Is Out Today On Switch, Here's The Launch Trailer

@elpardo1984 The Rogue Squadron games are the holy grail of needed ports. Put them all in a single package:
Rogue Squadron
Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Episode I: Battle for Naboo

That's a 100+ hours of content with all the replaying those games demanded. Plus, I don't think any games before or since have felt more like the quintessential "Star Wars" experience.
