Re: Metroid Prime 4 Developer Retro Studios Is Hiring New Talent

Moistnado

There have been two Metroid Games released for Switch, which is kind of their maximum number for a machine. The Prime 4 logo announcement looked like a statement of intent, so Samus Returns didn't get a backlash like Federation Force did. Now we have Prime Remastered, they won't release a similar type of game on Switch.

Re: Nintendo Hacker Gary Bowser Has Been Released From Prison

I hope Nintendo is just as strict on themselves for their anti-consumer practices like region locking, deleting servers for old digital games, not fixing joycon drift properly, not honoring digital purchases on their next platform, not giving refunds when games are released with severe performance issues. I wonder how much prison time Nintendo will do for these things? Nintendo you owe me $100 because I bought Nintendo credit that only works on a Wii U and I don't have a Wii U. Your customer service said "there is nothing they can do" You are thieves!

Re: Video: Everything That Could Go Wrong With The Switch's Successor

Moistnado

This is what I would like to see from a Switch 2-
1-No more plastic, make it aluminium or something a bit more sturdy. All my switches have cracked.
2- eliminate drift. I'm not buying any more drifting joy-con.
3- Bring back virtual console. NSO sucks.
4- backward compatibility with OG switch.
Obviously they need to make it more powerful too

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime Remastered?

Moistnado

Seeing as you can play the trilogy on steam deck, in high resolution, with very nice controls, I wondered whether this remaster would be redundant. Turns out, the switch remaster offers significantly more value than a upscaling or AI pass on textures. It is almost like a new game. I am impressed and so glad Nintendo did the work to make it significantly better than what can be found online already.

Re: Epic Games To Pay $540 Million Over Allegations Of Privacy Violations And Unwanted Charges

Moistnado

The content of the article and statement from the FTC do not explicitly state what these "dark patterns" are, or how Epic offended against the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. It also didn't explicitly state that the violation was in Fortnite. It could be some other game like candy crush or something? I think a lot of free to play games violate privacy and endanger children by having strangers voices appear in your living room as a default option. Who knows what the actual problem was?
