Re: Evil Dead: The Game Has Been Cancelled For Nintendo Switch

Moistnado

I had the game on PC and it was not good. Not a groovy experience at all. I saw the tv show and the reboot movies, which I doubt many people have, and it did have models from all but the last movie. As a big evil dead fan, it was nice to see but obviously Evil Dead 2 is the one most people like and I doubt many people will recognise the models. Also, the old fistfull of broomstick PS2/Xbox game is much better. This is just a sandbox game, no proper levels, like Friday 13th. You need other players online to play this game and because on switch you would have to buy NSO, and then there would be nobody in the lobbies, I would never buy this game on switch. They need to create a proper single player game.

Re: Video: Red Dead Redemption Runs Pretty Darn Well On Switch

The physical is always cheaper, when it comes out where I live, so maybe I'll pick it up then. There is more value to a box and a full game on a cartridge for me. If I buy digital I will get this, on a deep sale... An appropriate price being $19.99...only if I am still hyped about it by the time it comes on sale. While some consider $50 good value, good for them, I don't.

Re: EA Is Encouraging Families To Set Up Parental Controls This Summer

I think Nintendo is quite responsible with parental controls. There are a few games that are not safe for kids, so it is good to filter them out. I am also glad Nintendo makes voice chat with strangers difficult, I know it is an unpopular opinion but every game becomes R rated when you hear the things people say online.

EA was the Consumerist's worst company in the world for two years in a row, earning two golden poos. They cancelled origin accounts after 2 years, effectively deleting peoples games if they didn't log onto their website, and used another more popular platform like steam. The Sims 4 with all DLC costs £1,000.33 / $1,094.33 / €1,094.33. Let's not forget when they defended those criminal gambling loot boxes, where you can't even buy the DLC as "surprise mechanics". Maybe they need to consider their own irresponsible business practices. Parents should know that EA are not to be trusted with the attention of their kids.

Re: Surprise! Red Dead Redemption Blasts Onto Switch Next Week

Moistnado

I have both a Switch and PS5, ideally I would like this on switch, and ideally an old game like this will run well on switch. I suspect the footage in the video is from PS5. I'm going to wait to see whether this is another GTA mess and will need to see gameplay footage and reviews before buying anything. If Nintendo offered refunds for bad products like steam does, I wouldn't have to be so cautious.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo IP Should 'Switch 2' Launch With?

Moistnado

@Will808 perhaps it is easier to add a second screen to play Wii-u and 3/DS ports instead? Nintendo love second screens because it makes original hardware the best way to play, reducing piracy. The second screen could be detachable, like the circle pad pro. Could use the USB, in fact, they could make one of these for the current switch. Personally, I would like a even newer new 3DS.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo IP Should 'Switch 2' Launch With?

Moistnado

With Nintendo's "blue ocean" approach, I'm wondering whether they might do something completely different to Switch, seeing as the market has a lot more handheld gaming machines. I hope they merely revise the faults with switch, like improving Joycon flimsiness and make the dock smaller, then add a more modern processor.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo IP Should 'Switch 2' Launch With?

Moistnado

1) virtual console with all games possible, no trickle and that recognises prior digital purchases on your Wii, Wii U, 3DS accounts instead of making you buy them again (or rent them).

2) light gun games, using a proper IR pointer like Wii had.

3)Metroid Prime 5 (4 should release on the original Switch, or both). Or perhaps a new mainline Metroid, or reboot, or something.

4) Mario Kart 9 with F-Zero tracks and vehicles that also can play as a full new F-Zero game too.

Re: Talking Point: How Do You Store Your Games Collection?

Moistnado

Wii/GC= CD folder
3DS/DS/GBA= drawers, here and there.
Switch=A tiny little cartridge box with 15 cartridges, just the big games. All Indies are digital. I love the tiny cartridges!
Wii accessories= a suitcase that I may need to throw out.
(I'm thinking of dumping all of the games ROMs to a SSD or the cloud to save space).

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Targeting A 2024 Release For The Switch Successor

Moistnado

The switch successor will have no screen but use HD rumble to communicate progress for the player. It will have no thumb sticks or buttons eliminating all possible drift and instead will effectively use an IR sensor to control the rumble. 1-2 Switch Deluxe IR-Rumble edition will be its killer App. Full Amiibo support of course.

Re: The GameCube And Wii Emulator Dolphin Is No Longer Coming To Steam

Moistnado

@appleseedeon I'm not sure if this is actually true. Original NES games do not mention the cartridge is just a license to play. I think the same with SNES. This idea of it being a license emerged with internet downloads. I would like to see a Nintendolife article exploring this topic and answering some questions regarding laws in different countries and different decades.
