@X68000 Thanks for the info! I've unfortunately never had the opportunity to try out the Saturn pad (I don't think I've ever even seen a Saturn in real life if you can believe that...).

As much as I adore many of the games on the Genesis mini, the way you've described the game pad is a dealbreaker for me. So much of a videogame is its controls, and if that isn't topnotch, then the whole package just falls flat.

@X68000 That's the only reason I haven't picked one up yet! I never really liked the Genesis controller (even the original), but from what I've heard, the ones that come bundled with the mini are even worse and feel cheaper ("spongy" seems to be a good analogy).

Bought and played it on the Wii U and absolutely loved it (and I'm not really a JRPG fan). I just couldn't resist the wonderful art style and flashy colors! It looks vibrant, the gameplay and battle system is solid, the musical numbers are wondrous and the story keeps you interested until the very end! Give it a try and see for yourselves!
