Why not???
I've heard that emulating the Super FX chip might be an issue, but it's not impossible. And Nintendo owns all of the publishing rights to Star Fox SNES!

It would be so cool if they put it on the VC to get people pumped for Star Fox Zero!

Exactly!
One single series line for all Nintendo characters would have been the best option. It would rule out repeat characters and they would all look good beside one another.
Just think if Nintendo chooses to release a Legend of Zelda line for Zelda Wii U. People will have to repurchase Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, etc...... or if they buy characters they don't have, they won't match with the Smash Bros version of Link, Zelda........

I think Nintendo should have released their amiibo in a different fashion. They should have done specific collections for each gaming series (like they did with the Super Mario line and what they are apparently going to do with the Animal Crossing line).

The Smash Brothers line basically included every single main character in every Nintendo series, and now if Nintendo decides to launch more game specific figures, it will force people to repurchase certain characters (which some may be unwilling to do...).

Re: Rare Co-Founder Has No Idea Why Nintendo Didn't Buy The Studio Outright

@Rascal0302
First of all, why would you assume that I don't own other gaming systems? Nothing I wrote in my original post had anything to do with bashing one console maker over another; my critique was of Rare's output ever since they were bought out by Microsoft. Don't assume people are "fanboys" without any evidence.
Second, how do you know I have "no firsthand knowledge" of the Rare games published after the Nintendo days. Again, you're assuming things...
Third, you admit that out of the past 10+ years, you consider only 3 of the games Rare published to be "incredible". The Viva Pinata games are alright, but I can surely state that most gamers would not consider Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts to be a worthy sequel (or even a good game for that matter). JonTron has a hilarious video on the matter here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l69BP1uhlMs . And Kameo was a holdover from the Gamecube days when much of the original Rare staff were still onboard. That all being said, Microsoft bought Rare in 2002 for US$375 million dollars. Now just ask yourself a question, from a business standpoint, do you really think that games like Viva Pinata, Nuts & Bolts and Kameo were worth that price tag???
Also, fun trivia: Microsoft thought they were getting the Donkey Kong franchise when they made the purchase

Re: Exclusive: Project CARS "Simply Too Much For Wii U", Developer Now Waiting On New Nintendo Hardware

@Genesaur
I get what you're saying, and I agree it would be nice if Nintendo would make a third-party friendly console so that we could get all the games PS4/XBOX owners get.

However, every person that buys a Nintendo console ever since the N64 days knows that third party support is not Nintendo's strong suite, so to expect third party games on Nintendo consoles is naive at best...

Let's hope so! There are sooooo many games we need here in NA that haven't been made available yet (I'm looking at you Golden Sun 2).

Yeah, that's what I thought too! Maybe Nintendo is trying to spread out the VC releases so that people will buy certain games, or favor indie titles certain weeks. However, looking at past VC release schedules there seems to be no pattern/logic in the games released!
