Donkey Kong Bananza - Completed the first few layers with my daughter. So far a fantastic game.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Somewhere in the middle/latter half of Act II. Will beat a few more side missions.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Just completed Lanayru Temple. On to the volcano.

Raidou Remastered - Completed the 5th chapter last night. So many great PS2 game vibes from this one.

Persona 3 Portable - Reached the 36th floor of Tartarus. Completing a few more requests and building social links.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - First divine beast down in the Gerudo Desert. That boss fight was pretty tight having only 5 hearts at this point. Onward to somewhere rainier.

Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. Still hoping to reach the next dungeon if I get the chance. Happy gaming!

I’ll pick it up for Switch 2 at a discount. I found the Switch 1 version of III HD 2D to be blurry, and running it on Switch 2 did not help solve that. I’m hoping the Switch 2 version looks more like the PS5 in this case.

Edit - Also went through Super Mario Odyssey with my daughter this week. We will likely try to collect some more power moons. The game looks excellent on Switch 2.

Looks interesting and I may pick it up later on at a discount. As much as I would like to support physical games, this is not one that I can see myself wanting to (or having the time to) revisit down the line.

Happy for those interested in the game. I will not be picking this up, even if the game is on the cart.

Yet another way to play Mega Man 3 . Count me in

@WhiteUmbrella Ah, the phantom group. This is an anecdotal mirage where if I don’t know of or haven’t met a person that has said preference, they must not exist.

Back to the subject, as a consumer I have accepted the existence of game key cards because (a) some 3rd party games fell below the apparently typical $70 price point and (b) I can sell my copy if I don’t enjoy the game vs digital. Am I happy that things are this way? No. Do I still want great games to be true physical? Yes.

Would I have paid $70 USD instead of $50 USD for Raidou Remastered on a real Switch 2 cart? No and I’m having a blast playing through it (and yes I realize the Switch 1 cart performance improves on Switch 2, but I want the best resolution/textures).

@WhiteUmbrella because it costs money and cuts into margins. My comparison was strictly to digital.

I don’t have an issue with game key cards. The bonus to me vs digital is that the game is not tied to my account. Thus, I can share with family/friends (which theoretically includes a scenario where the Switch store is taken down).

Also, could we strive for more concise comments?

The Europe box art needs to be separated as it is the worst by far.

NA for me and Japan if the background were a bit darker.

Raidou for myself, but I haven’t been blown away by much on Switch 1 or 2 this year. Really excited for Bananza.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been my main non-Mario Kart game at launch. I’m not sure I understand which missions I should be doing as so many calls are received in-game. I’m somewhere in Act 2 trying to help out Judy.

Mario Kart World has been fantastic. Just unlocked mirror mode with my daughter and have been having a blast in knockout tour.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a replay for me, but feels so refreshing on Switch 2. Currently just finished some time in Hateno Village.

Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker has been a lot of fun with the GameCube controller. Tough balancing two Zelda games, but I’m guessing this will be prioritized out of the two. Just found a sail so still early on. Happy gaming!

Super Mario Kart on SNES will always have a special place for me. I would say World and 8 are even to me so far. Also agree with earlier comments that it would be great to have more laps on courses in World.

Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Been having a blast with the Switch 2 and will be playing Mario Kart World online for sure.

Woooooo! Sunk so many hours into this on PS1. Found the entire game to be fascinating. Can’t wait!

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA), Metroid Fusion (GBA), Final Fantasy III (DS), and Mario & Luigi Brothership (NS). Playing through the first for the first time and it is great. Metroid fusion is a pretty tight, fast-paced entry. FFIII is one that I have yet to play in the series. And lastly, my daughter loves Brothership so we are playing that together. Happy gaming!

Resident Evil Revelations (3DS) and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse (3DS) are my choices for the weekend. Happy gaming!

Target was a mess and the wal-mart line never progressed for me. Luckily I caught Best Buy going live and was able to snag a MK bundle. Amazing how quickly these were going out of stock.

Unfortunately everything costs more today. I’m surprised game prices have remained level for so many years. I remember getting a copy of Mega Man 4 for the NES in the early 90’s for $50. Paying $80 for a game today isn’t great news, but inflation is real.

Unicorn Overlord and Clock Tower Rewind for me this weekend. Looking forward to more layers of strategy in the former and hopefully a bit of horror in the latter. Happy gaming!

Unicorn Overlord (NS) is my game of choice this weekend. Will try to finish Silent Hill 2 Remake as well (currently reached the hotel). I can only play the latter at night with headphones so that the family doesn’t wake up, so maximum terror it is. Happy gaming!

There is nothing scummy about this practice. It is completely legitimate and quite effective to defend your business. You have to ensure you are covered before you go public with an idea. Analyzing whether your competitors can file divisional patents to block you are part of that.

EDIT: Also, the language used in the linked analysis does not portray that they understand what is happening clearly. Rather that they have picked a side.

More Silent Hill 2 Remake on PS5 for me! It is quite a bit different from the original - more like an escape room full of monsters. But it is so good! Happy gaming!

@NinChocolate Is OOT3D different from the N64 experience? I missed out on that growing up as a PlayStation owner. Master Quest is my next game up!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on 3DS is all I have time for this weekend. First time playing and just beat the water temple. Happy gaming!

I just bought a Wii U last week with Paper Mario Color Splash. Loving it and see quite a few other titles to grab as well. Xenoblade Chronicles X being released on Switch is great for everyone, and does not sour my purchase of the Wii U.

Beat Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and found the game to be quite scary. Any scenes where you have to run from untouchable enemies will do this to me. Quite stressful, but not to an annoying level at all.

Started up Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and really enjoying my time with it. Will also continue The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS) and Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse (3DS). I’m on the fire temple in the former and early on in the latter. Happy gaming!

Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I would place Super Mario 64 at #3.

Finishing up Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. Currently on the 11th phase and really liking the story.

Will also put some time into The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS), Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader (GCN), and the classic Resident Evil (GCN).

Love Zelda II, but I find the side scrolling segments in Echoes of Wisdom to be less exciting. Dimensions add much needed depth.

Carrying forward with a spooky Halloween lineup:

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (NS) - on the 5th chapter. The game is pretty good, but could use faster character movement. Definitely a bit scary.

Silent Hill 2 (PS5) - Fantastic recreation of the original game! Super scary, with maybe the only nitpick being more focus on combat than I recall with the original. Sometimes wondering if/when you will face monsters is more tense. Highly recommend it.

Excellent story! Made me recall playing FFVI back in the 90’s and what a mind blowing experience it was!

Will complete the 4th dungeon of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Halloween = horror games! Almost finished Alan Wake Remastered (currently on Episode 6). Not the best gameplay loop, but I love the atmosphere and story. Will move on to Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse next.

I like the touch of adding this, not that it has ever bothered me that Link doesn’t speak.

8/10 for me. I haven’t found the desire to pick up and play this one much. Beat two of the dungeons and felt like I had seen much of this before.

Beat Xenoblade Chronicles 2 after what felt like a year. Great game, but prefer the pacing of the first entry.

@anoyonmus Correct, I see this as highlighting additional inventions contained in the first patent.

Key here is that a divisional patent uses the parent patent’s specification. So any claims in the new divisional filings would have to be described in that 2021 filing.
