10/10 for me at about 3 h in. I’m not quite sure why, but I’m finding Grace’s segments to be much more tense/scary than most of Silent Hill 2 Remake (except maybe the prison). The design on the zombies is excellent. They each have so much personality.
@PushMyGran86 it’s kind of crazy that I was in the exact same situation as you. Bought a PS5 slim to play Silent Hill 2 Remake and has since collected dust. It was an awesome game though.
Persona 3 Reload - Only a few days left until the last boss. Great game, but 4 and 5 are better in my opinion.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - Making my way through Chapter 9 and trying not to rush.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined - Two islands beyond the demo.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - More online battling.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - More exploring/completing some shrines. Currently up in the North East.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - About 9 h in and just unlocked the spider ball. Searching for more upgrades. Having a lot of fun with this one.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles - I’ve been playing through this one since release on Tactician difficulty. Just met Cloud in Chapter 4. Working on side quests for now.
Resident Evil 0 - More exploring. Not sure I’m a fan of just leaving items on the floor.
Virtual Boy Wario Land - Moving toward the second boss.
Trauma Center Under the Knife (DS) - Made it to Chapter 6 and had to take a break. The speed in which you’re expected to execute is a bit too much. One surgery I spent probably 30-40 times trying over, and the victory felt so good.
@dew12333 I’m in the same boat. I will buy the best version of a game available for Switch 2. Instead of going digital, I decided to go with GKC’s because of the internet rage and the fact that I don’t think it is a terrible idea in today’s digital age.
This isn’t really proof of the significance of physical media, but another example of the FOMO that keeps LRG thriving. We can still play all of these games.
Persona 3 Reload - Currently in early January and starting to take it easy. More and more Tartarus and seeing whether I can complete all social links.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - Currently on Chapter 9 and trying not to rush through.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined - Just started the next island after the demo.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Online battling.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - More exploring/completing some shrines.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - About 8 h in and just finished the volcano. Having a lot of fun with this one.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles - I’ve been playing through this one since release on Tactician difficulty. Just met Cloud in Chapter 4. Working on side quests for now.
Resident Evil 0 - Beat the second boss and found a new key. Will progress today. I would like to finish this before Requiem, as this and RE6 are the only ones I haven’t played that will not be in the 3 game box deal.
Virtual Boy Wario Land - Moving toward the second boss.
Trauma Center Under the Knife (DS) - Made it to Chapter 5 and wow, what a fun and difficult game. Some of the surgeries made me want to throw my DS across the room, but the feeling that you get when you finally succeed is great.
I found the demo to be a lot of fun and am not bothered by the streamlining. There are plenty of slow intros when reading books, so the revisions are appreciated by me.
@Moroboshi876 From rpgsite: “Even on Switch 1, the 30fps experience holds up very well and you get good visuals all things considered. On Switch 2, the 60fps experience is near-perfect with some lingering frame pacing issues present.”
@larryisaman Totally understand your frustration. If they just release physical on Switch 1 then it may create a marketing issue (customers may wonder why they bought a Switch 2 for Switch 1 games). I like the idea of the Switch 2 edition cards that can be used on both systems, but am not willing to pay more for the solution.
@larryisaman Absolute joke? What is the incentive to manufacture a Switch 2 GKC release if an upgrade is available? Your stated example applies to a game that was only physically available on Switch 1. Examples of a simultaneous release with an upgrade path aren’t that abundant, such as FFT Ivalice Chronicles. Maybe for FFT this was because the Switch 2 physical release was a code in the box.
Persona 3 Reload - Currently in late December and starting to take it easy. Back to Tartarus and seeing whether I can complete all social links.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - Currently Chapter 7 and enjoying revisiting this game. I wish I could play through on hard at the start, but oh well.
Star Wars Outlaws - Further upgraded the speeder and trying to decide who to support for the next mission. Playing this more for sure.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Side quests!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - More exploring/completing some shrines.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - About 4 h in and just started exploring the volcano.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles - I’ve been playing through this one since release on Tactician difficulty. Just met Cloud in Chapter 4. Working on side quests for now.
Mario & Luigi - Superstar Saga - Beat the game. That last boss phase was quite a pain at first, but practice prevailed.
Resident Evil 0 - Beat the second boss and found a new key.
Virtual Boy Wario Land - Just beat the first boss.
Trauma Center (DS) - Excited to play this for the first time.
Picking up the GKC as I solely care about playing games (plus I can share this with friends). Super excited for this one. Not so much about any Silent Hill f release.
Persona 3 Reload - Currently in December and still my main course this weekend. Back to Tartarus and seeing whether I can complete all social links.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 - Beat the game. Lots of fun, but not sure if I’m up for collecting.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - Currently Chapter 3 and enjoying revisiting this game. The intergrade part will be new to me.
Star Wars Outlaws - Further upgraded the speeder and trying to decide who to support for the next mission.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Participating in season 5 a bit more.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Complete the third Divine Beast and will now focus on exploring/completing some shrines.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - About 2 h in and just started exploring the desert.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles - I’ve been playing through this one since release on Tactician difficulty. Just finished Limberry Castle in Chapter 4. Working on side quests for now.
Mario & Luigi - Superstar Saga - One more bean to collect. Coming back to this one after a break. The sprite work is great.
Resident Evil 0 - About to face off with the second boss.
Virtual Boy Wario Land - Just beat the first boss.
Would love to play it on the DS, but kind of pricey considering I already have the GCN remaster. If only Silent Hill had a similar port, I would pick it up for sure.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Beat the game but still may visit some side quests.
Star Wars Outlaws - Still loving it and around 5 h in so far. Finally able to fly around in space.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - participating in season 5 a bit more.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - still on my way to the volcano and just reached Goron city. Will for sure complete the third Divine Beast.
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond - Just started this one and so far have completed two bosses. Beautiful game.
Final Fantasy Tactics Ivalice Chronicles - I’ve been playing through this one since release on Tactician difficulty. Just finished Limberry Castle in Chapter 4. It was a bit tough as I’m trying not to grind.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Around 21 h in and presumably near the end. Graphics update on Switch 2 is fantastic.
Star Wars Outlaws - Still loving it and around 5 h in so far. Huge Star Wars fan and this resonates way more with me than Cyberpunk did (I’ve dropped it and should probably pick it up again sometime).
Pokemon Legends: Z-A - participating in season 5 a bit.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - on my way to the volcano and just reached Goron city. Will try to complete the third Divine Beast.
Last night I finished the Dragon Quest VII demo and was surprised as to how long it ran. Placed my preorder and looking forward to the whole game. Happy gaming!
@Bobobiwan if this is regarding LRG’s email announcement, I don’t recall any mentioning of them producing physical games specifically for those games that have already had a key card release. They only stated that numbered games will be physical and not gkc’s.
Persona 3 Reload is the main course this weekend. Currently about 40 h in and the update makes this game play very well. Also working my way through Luigi’s Mansion 3 with my kid. Excellent coop game. I think I’m close to the ending of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, so will spend some time on that as well.
Edit - I forgot yet another game! Started Star Wars Outlaws and totally loving it as a Star Wars fan. Performance is impressive for a portable.
Inspired by the multitasking wonders of @JohnnyMind, also going to be mixing in some postgame collection in Pokemon Legends: Z-A and the third temple of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Happy gaming!
Pokemon Legends Z-A will be the main game played this weekend. Also working my way through the early part of chapter 4 of Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles.
Currently deep into Chapter 3 of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Playing on tactician mode and still having a blast revisiting this top tier game.
@Metaphor1987 “Most people” and “which won't appeal to almost anyone” [sans reference to any data] is never going to be an argument that holds. This is your opinion. I appreciate it and understand your points.
I will be double dipping because I care less about the format of the game. Maybe many others are in the same boat, but who knows, right? A total of $40 to play this game with the dlc (which I missed with the PS4 release) plus an MtG booster pack sounds great to me. Can’t wait to play.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles (NS) on Tactician difficulty! So excited to visit this game again after too many years to count. It has been great so far because I forgot a lot of the story lines. This will consume my next month.
Also, I’m at the very end of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (NS). What a game and sad for it to be over soon (but perfect timing for the next release). Happy gaming!
Totally agree. This site has been inundated with negativity and whining. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to trying out this game! Thanks for the excellent review NL!
Lots of whining and speculation (e.g., the 10-15 year life comment right above [zero data to back that, just like a GKC ]). Comments on other articles have complained about limited space for GKC’s. Now we have folks wanting to install the whole game onto their console from a physical card.
I want to play the game on a handheld. Looking forward to it!
Cyberpunk 2077 - Somewhere in the middle/latter half of Act II. Will beat a few more side missions. Getting close to finishing the act.
DK Bananza - Playing this one through with my daughter. Super fun and somewhere around layer 1000. The bosses get a bit more complex further into the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Just completed Lanayru Temple. On to the volcano. For sure this weekend.
Raidou Remastered - Completed the 8th chapter last weekend and will aim to finish the next. Such a great game. Teleports me back to the PS2 days.
Persona 3 Portable - Reached the 47th floor of Tartarus. Completing a few requests and building social links.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Time to conquer divine beast #2. So great revisiting this one on Switch 2.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. May get to the next dungeon if I get the chance. Happy gaming!
Excited to give it a shot. I will purchase it as a game key card if that is the only option. If for some reason storefront access is eliminated a la 3DS/Wii, I’ll still be playing. Plus, friends/family could still use the GKC’s on their own devices as they would not be tied to my account.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th February)
Resident Evil Requiem and Final Fantasy VII Remake will take over this weekend. Probably 2 h into the former and Chapter 9 for the latter.
I beat Persona 3 Reload and although there was a super slow build in the story, the ending was powerful. Easily the best out of 3-5.
Also beat Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, and thoroughly enjoyed the game minus the green crystal collecting.
Happy gaming.
Re: Review: Resident Evil Requiem (Switch 2) - Action And Horror Combine In A Series Highlight
Can’t wait to play. Already appears to be sold out locally, so the GKC’s may not be a deterrent.

Re: Review: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (Switch 2) - A Big, Bold Reimagining, And A First-Class Port
Preordered and excited to continue on for the demo. I played FFVII remake on PS4, but not intergrade on PS5. Can’t wait to see the new content.
Preorders were sold out for pickup at my local retailer, so GKC or not, good games sell.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 - Floor 13. Excellent coop game.

Star Wars Outlaws - Still loving it and around 5 h in so far. Finally able to fly around in space.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (10th January)
Persona 3 Reload - currently in mid-October and still my main course this weekend. I would say the story is weaker than 4 or 5 so far, but still good.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 - Floor 13. Excellent coop game.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Around 21 h in and presumably near the end. Graphics update on Switch 2 is fantastic.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Switch 2 Trailer Introduces Shinra, The Turks & Avalanche
@Kamen-S Each game has been a stand alone experience so far. There is continuity in the story, but character builds don’t carry over.

Too many good games are available/releasing now, so I’ll wait for a small sale or backlog to clear

NA because the color scheme prepares me for how much my head will hurt after playing
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th October)

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Director Highlights The Speed Problem With Switch 2 Game Cards
Re: Review: Bubsy In: The Purrfect Collection (Switch) - Limited Run Cleans Out The Kitty Litter

Lastly, I hear those that want to preserve good games, but this? No thank you.
Re: Strong Final Fantasy Tactics Sales May Lead To More Remasters And Sequels
As someone who is a big fan of tactics rpg’s, this is a pretty bold assumption. Final Fantasy Tactics is amazing. The GBA games are good/average.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd August)
