Pokemon Legends Z-A will be the main game played this weekend. Also working my way through the early part of chapter 4 of Final Fantasy Tactics The Ivalice Chronicles.
Currently deep into Chapter 3 of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. Playing on tactician mode and still having a blast revisiting this top tier game.
@Metaphor1987 “Most people” and “which won't appeal to almost anyone” [sans reference to any data] is never going to be an argument that holds. This is your opinion. I appreciate it and understand your points.
I will be double dipping because I care less about the format of the game. Maybe many others are in the same boat, but who knows, right? A total of $40 to play this game with the dlc (which I missed with the PS4 release) plus an MtG booster pack sounds great to me. Can’t wait to play.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles (NS) on Tactician difficulty! So excited to visit this game again after too many years to count. It has been great so far because I forgot a lot of the story lines. This will consume my next month.
Also, I’m at the very end of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (NS). What a game and sad for it to be over soon (but perfect timing for the next release). Happy gaming!
Totally agree. This site has been inundated with negativity and whining. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to trying out this game! Thanks for the excellent review NL!
Lots of whining and speculation (e.g., the 10-15 year life comment right above [zero data to back that, just like a GKC ]). Comments on other articles have complained about limited space for GKC’s. Now we have folks wanting to install the whole game onto their console from a physical card.
I want to play the game on a handheld. Looking forward to it!
Cyberpunk 2077 - Somewhere in the middle/latter half of Act II. Will beat a few more side missions. Getting close to finishing the act.
DK Bananza - Playing this one through with my daughter. Super fun and somewhere around layer 1000. The bosses get a bit more complex further into the game.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Just completed Lanayru Temple. On to the volcano. For sure this weekend.
Raidou Remastered - Completed the 8th chapter last weekend and will aim to finish the next. Such a great game. Teleports me back to the PS2 days.
Persona 3 Portable - Reached the 47th floor of Tartarus. Completing a few requests and building social links.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Time to conquer divine beast #2. So great revisiting this one on Switch 2.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. May get to the next dungeon if I get the chance. Happy gaming!
Excited to give it a shot. I will purchase it as a game key card if that is the only option. If for some reason storefront access is eliminated a la 3DS/Wii, I’ll still be playing. Plus, friends/family could still use the GKC’s on their own devices as they would not be tied to my account.
Donkey Kong Bananza - Completed the first few layers with my daughter. So far a fantastic game.
Cyberpunk 2077 - Somewhere in the middle/latter half of Act II. Will beat a few more side missions.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Just completed Lanayru Temple. On to the volcano.
Raidou Remastered - Completed the 5th chapter last night. So many great PS2 game vibes from this one.
Persona 3 Portable - Reached the 36th floor of Tartarus. Completing a few more requests and building social links.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - First divine beast down in the Gerudo Desert. That boss fight was pretty tight having only 5 hearts at this point. Onward to somewhere rainier.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. Still hoping to reach the next dungeon if I get the chance. Happy gaming!
I’ll pick it up for Switch 2 at a discount. I found the Switch 1 version of III HD 2D to be blurry, and running it on Switch 2 did not help solve that. I’m hoping the Switch 2 version looks more like the PS5 in this case.

Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. May get to the next dungeon if I get the chance. Happy gaming!
Edit - Also went through Super Mario Odyssey with my daughter this week. We will likely try to collect some more power moons. The game looks excellent on Switch 2.
Looks interesting and I may pick it up later on at a discount. As much as I would like to support physical games, this is not one that I can see myself wanting to (or having the time to) revisit down the line.
Cyberpunk 2077 - Somewhere in the middle/latter half of Act II.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Started up this one again on Switch 2. Great performance improvement and now trying to complete Lanayru Temple.
Raidou Remastered - Completed the 1st chapter last weekend and will aim to finish the next.
Persona 3 Portable - Reached the 10th floor of Tartarus.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Time to conquer the first divine beast in the Gerudo desert.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker - Just completed the first dungeon. Happy gaming!
@WhiteUmbrella Ah, the phantom group. This is an anecdotal mirage where if I don’t know of or haven’t met a person that has said preference, they must not exist.
Back to the subject, as a consumer I have accepted the existence of game key cards because (a) some 3rd party games fell below the apparently typical $70 price point and (b) I can sell my copy if I don’t enjoy the game vs digital. Am I happy that things are this way? No. Do I still want great games to be true physical? Yes.
Would I have paid $70 USD instead of $50 USD for Raidou Remastered on a real Switch 2 cart? No and I’m having a blast playing through it (and yes I realize the Switch 1 cart performance improves on Switch 2, but I want the best resolution/textures).
I don’t have an issue with game key cards. The bonus to me vs digital is that the game is not tied to my account. Thus, I can share with family/friends (which theoretically includes a scenario where the Switch store is taken down).
Cyberpunk 2077 has been my main non-Mario Kart game at launch. I’m not sure I understand which missions I should be doing as so many calls are received in-game. I’m somewhere in Act 2 trying to help out Judy.
Mario Kart World has been fantastic. Just unlocked mirror mode with my daughter and have been having a blast in knockout tour.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a replay for me, but feels so refreshing on Switch 2. Currently just finished some time in Hateno Village.
Lastly, The Legend of Zelda Windwaker has been a lot of fun with the GameCube controller. Tough balancing two Zelda games, but I’m guessing this will be prioritized out of the two. Just found a sail so still early on. Happy gaming!
Super Mario Kart on SNES will always have a special place for me. I would say World and 8 are even to me so far. Also agree with earlier comments that it would be great to have more laps on courses in World.

Mario Kart World, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Been having a blast with the Switch 2 and will be playing Mario Kart World online for sure.
Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga (GBA), Metroid Fusion (GBA), Final Fantasy III (DS), and Mario & Luigi Brothership (NS). Playing through the first for the first time and it is great. Metroid fusion is a pretty tight, fast-paced entry. FFIII is one that I have yet to play in the series. And lastly, my daughter loves Brothership so we are playing that together. Happy gaming!
Lunar Remastered, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (3DS), and SMT IV: Apocalypse (3DS). Particularly thrilled with the last game listed. I also picked up a copy of Bravely Default for 3DS since the game key card for NS2 is lame. Happy gaming!
Target was a mess and the wal-mart line never progressed for me. Luckily I caught Best Buy going live and was able to snag a MK bundle. Amazing how quickly these were going out of stock.

Re: Persona 3 Reload Switch 2 Performance Update Now Live, Targets 60fps In Docked Mode
Exciting news and the game now plays smoothly. I’m about 20 h in and didn’t care too much about the performance, but this is quite a nice upgrade.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Switch 2 Trailer Introduces Shinra, The Turks & Avalanche
@Kamen-S Each game has been a stand alone experience so far. There is continuity in the story, but character builds don’t carry over.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Teleroboxer (Virtual Boy)
@KingMike totally agree! I also force myself to put up with the eye pain for Ocarina of Time 3D because it just looks so amazing
Re: PSA: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet - Free Shiny Koraidon & Miraidon Codes Restocked (North America)
Thanks for the tip! I went to GameStop this morning and was able to get one.
Re: Poll: So, Did You Get Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 For Switch?
Too many good games are available/releasing now, so I’ll wait for a small sale or backlog to clear
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Teleroboxer (Virtual Boy)
NA because the color scheme prepares me for how much my head will hurt after playing

Re: Review: Bubsy In: The Purrfect Collection (Switch) - Limited Run Cleans Out The Kitty Litter
A copy of Bubsy for SNES is like 15 bucks on eBay. Not sure why we need to revisit these games. Now, Metal Warriors on the other hand…
Lastly, I hear those that want to preserve good games, but this? No thank you.
Re: Strong Final Fantasy Tactics Sales May Lead To More Remasters And Sequels
As someone who is a big fan of tactics rpg’s, this is a pretty bold assumption. Final Fantasy Tactics is amazing. The GBA games are good/average.
Re: Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma Ships Over 500,000 Copies
The whole “being physical helped” is based upon what data? What if it is just a good game?

Focusing on Donkey Kong Bananza (Layer 700) and Radiou Remastered (Chapter 8). May add some time with Breath of the Wild if possible. Happy gaming!

NA for me and Japan if the background were a bit darker.
Re: Poll: What's Your Switch (2) Game Of The Year So Far?
Raidou for myself, but I haven’t been blown away by much on Switch 1 or 2 this year. Really excited for Bananza.
