Re: Talking Point: Would You Want Quality And Performance Options For Nintendo's 'Switch 2' Games?

Maubari

@IceClimbersMain

And yet they keep making games on their own pace, don't include ludicrous ads into the starting screens of their games and (most of the time) ask for fair prices of their games. Then there's the consistent quality of said games too.
Sure, they may not be perfect and their anti-fan attitude has got to stop, but compared to the likes of modern Sony and Microsoft.. they really are the best and most trustworthy.

Also, what hardware continues to fail?? I literally do not understand. If you're talking about the Joy Cons, well.. ***** happens to everyone everyday. In seven years and with three Switch consoles I have NOT seen a single JC fail so far. Not even a drift. Makes me believe people blow this up just to make Nintendo seem bad.
Meanwhile, I've lost two Playstation controllers and THREE xbox controllers in the last five years; and I'm considered one of the most careful people in my group.. So if you have any complains about ''failing'' hardware, please take it to the Playstation or Xbox site, where such criticism is deserved. Not here. I apologize if I come off as a bit of a fanboy, but I won't be tolerating unneccesary slander. You're of course welcome to your own opinion - and Nintendo does need to ease up a bit on their fans a bit - but just spouting nonsense about ''faulty'' hardware is just plain ridiculous. If you disagree, well.. I guess everyone has their ''opinions'' these days.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Want Quality And Performance Options For Nintendo's 'Switch 2' Games?

Maubari

None of these matter to me personally. I would just like FUN games. Meaning:

  • Not too long, not too short;
  • NO Microtransactions
  • NO crowded ad filled home page with ''dlc available now''
  • Just a fun story, gameplay and great soundtrack.

Nintendo is literally the only modern company I still have respect for, and I do mean ALOT of respect. Sony, Microsoft, Sega, Ubisoft, Disney.. and pretty much 90 procent of all these big wig companies have lost sight of who they were when they started. I pray this does not happen to Nintendo too.

Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings Animated Short Announced

Maubari

@JohnnyMind Yeah, I'm slightly worried about the extra content. I'm sure the original content will still be fine, but I heard rumors that Shadow's levels are made with the same garbage engine that has plagued this franchise since Forces.. so that means more static and choppy gameplay.. I really hope this rumor is false though

Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings Animated Short Announced

Maubari

@Vexx234

Ironically, you're the one being ''edgy'' right now.. Shadow is well loved by the fans still - and the two movies are very much appreciated and loved too. Although I kinda agree with you too with SEGA pretty much abandoning Shadow's character after his solo game. He's just a background character now, even more so than Tails or Knuckles :/

Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Online Pre-Orders Are Apparently Being Cancelled (US)

Maubari

@nintendozach While it's true that Nintendo neglects and ignores their fans a bit too much.. Other entertainment studios, like Microsoft and Sony, have done far worse. Also, it seems that this pre-order cancellation business is only in the USA, so it doesn't count for Nintendo as a whole in the rest of the world.

Nintendo is easily the best place to be right now if you want to be entertained.

Re: The Pokémon Games Have Had Tremendous Success During The Switch Generation

Maubari

Good news imo. I absolutely love the Switch' Pokémon games (except for the Let's Go games). It's extremely difficult to go back to older titles, considering they require ALOT of annoying grinding and had some rather irritating mechanics to cope with too (Z Moves for exemple, or that SOS mechanic).

I still do go back to Black and White and Platinum from time to time tho

Re: Rumour: Pokémon Leaker Suggests Gen 10 Games Are Coming In 2026

Maubari

@WreckitRyan

Goodness, dramatic much? Sure, SC/VI had their problems, but they were nowhere near as bad as you make them out to be lmao. I've put over 150 hours in both games and not ONCE did I have a hard crash. Maybe I just got lucky? Either way, I had more fun with this than any other mainline Pokémon game since Black and White 1.

Re: EA Apparently Exploring The Idea Of In-Game Ads In Traditional AAA Titles

Maubari

@Thomystic Yeah, I agree. But I also think there will be a breaking point where people will just truly have enough of ads - and just go back to games, movies or other older pieces of media that don't have them.. therefore breaking the modern games and movies to a point where they don't bring in enough money anymore.. perhaps then the big CEO's will finally realize that ads are just obnoxious... or so I hope.

On an unrelated note, I love your profile picture. Professor Waddle Dee is a fun little side character in Forgotten Land haha

Re: Rumour: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom First Anniversary Surprise Planned

Maubari

@Papasears1982

Tears of the Kingdom felt more like Breath of the Wild 2.0 indeed... However, it is far superior to the first game because it actually feels alive now. More things to do, better dungeons, better soundtrack.. It actually feels like a Zelda game now, unlike Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild felt like a tech demo that wasn't quite finished yet. Boring, annoying, empty and quite frankly the worst mainline Zelda since Phantom Hourglass. I have no idea why so many people rate it so high. Oh well, guess standards are just low these days, huh?

Re: Paper Mario: TTYD And Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Estimated Switch File Sizes Revealed

Maubari

Definitely getting both. LM2 is still the only Luigi's Mansion game that I actually enjoyed back in the day, so I can't wait to play it again. But man, it's kinda a bummer that TTYD Switch is worse than it's original. Bigger size, worse framerate, slightly worse style (Looks a bit too much like the newer Paper Mario games now). I'm still getting it, but my hype level has definitely dropped..

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th May)

Maubari

It's my birthday today, so i'll be going bowling with a couple of friends and then I plan on playing some Crash Bandicoot N-Sane on the Switch (Early gift from a friend!). I also plan on celebrating it in New Horizons. Quite a lovely day ahead of me I reckon!

Happy gaming everyone!

Re: Nintendo Has Filed Two New Trademarks

Maubari

@_Figo_ Yeah, no, I refuse to believe that to be true. Nintendo has ALOT of studios; surely one of them could either make a new one or remaster the original trilogy... But alas, they don't seem to care about the franchise that made them big and important to begin with, but that's not surprising: Sony and Microsoft are the same way.

At the very least, Nintendo should be able to put DK64 or Diddy Kong Racing on NSO, but they're too lazy to even do that.. Instead, we get obscure titles that nobody cares about.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Hits The Brakes As Stellar Blade Speeds Into View

Maubari

@sanderev Yeah, I've noticed that too. And if there IS something new, like Stellar Blade, it's another generic over-the-top JRPG with ''hyper realistic'' graphics.. This generation of games is easily the worst there's been. There's just not enough new games to keep everyone entertained, though open world/jrpg/remaster fans can eat their heart out :/.

This is why I stopped supporting Sony. They don't have anything interesting anymore that I actually want.

Re: Microid's 'Smurfs - Dreams' Looks To Serve Some "Serious Super Mario Vibes"

Maubari

@RareFan

Yeah, could you just not with your constant hate on Sonic? Or should I just keep saying how Banjo Kazooie was ''mid'' at best and that Tooie is one of the worst sequels out there (Which I really do think it is)? Sure, the last ten years have been rough for the blue blur, but go back to 2000-2012 and ALOT of them are at least decent (Rush, Rush Adventure, Unleashed, Colors, Generations, the two racing games)

Interested to see if you even reply to this at all.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th April)

Maubari

Love that tagline haha.
As for me, since I'm still sick unfortunately, I treated myself to a Animal Crossing Switch Lite and started a third and final island - Paldea. Ironically, one of my first villagers is an actual duck (Scoot). Now to find a crocodile and a cat villager next? Haha.
And maybe some more Tears of the Kingdom too. Tulin needs some more help getting into the ark!

Happy gaming everyone!
