Hmm.. The story could actually work with Ian Flynn there and the music would no doubt be a banger too, but the gameplay.. would probably be really, really bad (Forces) or mediocre (Lost World, Frontiers). You really can never tell with SEGA these days

@PinderSchloss Still much better than Breath of the Wild though. Massive step up - that game was only hyped up because of its name, nothing else.

@epicgamner Yeah, most likely.. but mostly because SEGA themselves made the ending for 06 ''not canon'' because the Princess of Soleanna removes the threat from existense and makes everyone forget about the entire thing.. thus making the entire adventure irrelevant haha

@Divide_and_Wander Yeah, that's a good price.. Like, I really REALLY wanted to like NNK2 as well, but.. the game just doesn't know what it wants to do, you know? It's got too much going on at once, the story and characters don't make sense and the music is mostly recycled from the first one.. However, the battle system is actually quite good. So, uh.. yeah. Maybe I just had too high expectations, but it just wasn't good.

I do hope you enjoy the other ones though!

@Divide_and_Wander Can't say anything about the other games, but yikes.. Ni no Kuni 2? Here's hoping you didn't pay too much.. Truly one of the worst out there and most certaintly the worst sequel to a beloved JRPG of the last twenty years or so.

Well, looks like Nintendo's afraid of a bit of revolution and evolution here.. They have to know AI will eventually take over voice actors and movie designers etc, so why not jump in at the chance to get to learn it? Oh well, I do suppose they've always been shortsighted, so this shouldn't surprise me at all.

Played it for a little bit on the PS5. Boring, unneccesarily confusing and just plain annoying. Cute graphics, but that's all it has going for it.

9/10 is far too high - but then again, NL's reviews tend to be vastly inaccurate anyway.

Yeah, that voice acting thingy has been a thing in the last few Trails games now.. It's annoying, but nothing really bothersome tbh. I'm more concerned with how different this entry is - different battle system, different characters.. it's literally a whole new world. However, I am extremely interested to see what Calvard is like - after all the stuff Heiuye did in the Crossbell saga and seeing the influence that Calvard had in Crossbell and even Nord definitely got me curious!

I hope a certain divine blade shows up at some point too..

Nah, they just need to stop being stubborn and give us an traditional Zelda! Not everyone likes the generic open world that the series has gone off in... Breath of the Wild is by far the most boring, generic and painfully dull open world game I've ever played. Tears of the Kingdom is slightly better, but not by much.

They're giving us a brand new 2D Zelda though with EoW, so there's hope for us traditional 3D Zelda fans yet.... I HOPE.

I just finished Paper Mario, so i'm going to start The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trials this weekend! I started it last year but never finished it.. Time to rectify that haha.
Also still playing Sonic Origins Plus on the Lite as a side game

@Takoda This happens more often than not, unfortunately.. Metroid Prime 4, Mass Effect 4, Elder Scrolls VI.. Like, honestly. Only announce a project if it's a year, maybe two years, away.. not four or five :/.

@PikminMarioKirby Perhaps - but that's why you should be buying this remaster. If not - that might send Nintendo a signal that people don't want Donkey Kong anymore.

Also, a new DK roller coaster is being launched close to the release of DKCR HD next year, so that's probably the reason they did this.

Just Donkey Kong for me... for now. I need more info on Zelda and Mario & Luigi before I dedicate myself to them.
Mario Party is an easy skip for me.

@anoyonmus Yep! The only one missing is DK64.. While not strictly tied to the Country series, I still view it as such since some characters in the game reference events from DKC3

@FreasurePlanten Dude. Just be thankful there was ANYTHING for Donkey Kong in here at all! They could've him and done nothing, but we got this. I would've preferred an completely new game too, but I'm a bit too old to be picky about a franchise that's basically almost left to die by Nintendo.

We gamers should just be more grateful all around and not be like little cry babies complaining about every. single. thing. It's OK to be disappointed though, but it feels too damn picky to me.

This looks really fantastic!! I'm a bit worried it might be as confusing as Link's Awakening, but time will tell if there's actually accessibility options available in the game for those that... don't quite have alot of patience (like myself).

Awesome! Time to see what they have.. Although I'm more excited for the chaos that is the Nintendo Direct chat; People expect WAY too much and when they don't get exactly what they want they spam the chat with ''zzzzz'' and clown and barf emoji's. It's pretty hilarious.

That said, I would already be super satisfied if they could finally release DK64 and Diddy Kong Racing for NSO. Everything else is just a bonus; I'm already really satisfied with the Switch and its library

Awesome!! I've never played this one and with the paper thin patience I have these days, save states and rewind feature are an absolute must. Can't wait to finally play this!

Meh. I tried this on the 3DS and I highly despised the battle system - so will definitely be skipping out on this version too.

I got Yonder Cloud Chronicles for 5 euro's.. Not sure what to think of that game, but it looks really cute. And for 5 euro's I don't think I can go wrong

Seriously, who the hell wants THAT game to be ported? I actually keep forgetting it even exists.. but now that you've reminded me - wow, yeah, that game was definitely the start of the Super Dark Age of Sonic.. that lasted from that game all the way to Forces x_x

I REALLY hope this will work out; this had better not be using the same trashy engine that they used for Forces and Frontiers.. The level design is one thing, but if they take the awful controls from the cyber space levels into this one too, then.. Major yikes.

However - from what I've seen so far Space Colony ARK has never looked better. Super excited to go back there!
