If I put that Splatoon ice cream in a cup with Wario on it, is it the same ice cream, or is it Wario's Earwax Delight?

Next generation of consoles will be digital only. PC is already digital only, PS5 is halfway there with digital edition of the console.
It makes no sense not to go fully digital.

European cover tells me the game is about series of puzzles. The North American cover tells me it is about series of puzzles AND a story.
Asthetics aside, North American and Japanese cover sell the idea of the game much better.

Many reviews are criticizing shallow story and amount of easter eggs, and mentioning spectacle over anything meaningful.
Yet, when Avatar 2 came out, I've heard the exact same thing, story is so-so but the visuals are fantastic, and that one is getting more positive reviews.
John Wick 4 is nothing but action with some bits of story thrown in, and it is described as "turn your brain out and enjoy", again, with positive response from critics.
My opinion is, the reason behind mixed reviews for Mario is expectations that were through the roof, and it didn't meet those. Doesn't make it a bad movie.
As everything, we will have to judge for ourselves.
Gonna see it tomorrow and I can't wait.

It is always a bad sign when reactions are praising everything else except the actual story.
My expectations are a bit lowered now.
Sure, easter eggs are fun, but you can't build a good movie on easter eggs.
Still, hope for the best.

@Randinator123 The problem is not the pace, it is thr choice of games they decide to release. I mean... Side Pocket? Seriously? I have no problem waiting for a new game, but why bottom of the barrel?
Gameboy is still new so that one will have better new releases, but when it comes to NES and SNES, what's the point.

Looks too similar to the Advance Wars. A simple change of visuals would do wonders for title such as this. As is, it will be always compared to Advance Wars, unlike Wargroove, whith similar gameplay but very different visual flare.

Guess it is time to complain about things that we can easily avoid and nobody is forcing to invest in.

There is no such thing as a perfect game, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is as close as it gets to that unreachable status.
You got to wonder is there even a point of making a sequel, or should they focus on updating this one through the Switch's life span, only to release Ultimate version on the next console, and they keep updating that one.
Same thing with Smash Bros Ultimate.

Nintendo succesfully milked out an article or two from that ridiculous announcment.
They know exactly what they are doing.

Or you can just play the original.

It would be like saying they won't release Link's Awakening Gameboy version because there already is a remake on Switch.

Bout time. It's been 8+ months since I bought a Switch game. Here is hoping we get a new Wario platformer (let me dream!!).

Fans do what Nintendon't. It's been years since last Rhythm Heaven, so it is great to see the genre going strong, even though it is not directly from Nintendo.

Having good experience with his previous games, I have high hopes for this one, despite the art direction.

To everyone who care for spoilers, avoid Youtube. Went to put some music on and first recommended video had a spoiler in the title for the christmas special.
Spoilers like these are easily avoided when people don't put them in the titles of articles like this one, or when thumbnail doesn't make it obvious.
Sure, it is a small detail, but why is there the need to spoil something the moment it came out? Must be for the clicks. And yes, I clicked on the article, so the joke is, indeed, fully on me.

Final mission in Tomba 2 for PSOne. I love and avoid that game because of that last mission. You expect the jumpscare and it never comes. It is very unsettling and sends chills down my spine.

@Ogbert Nintendo probably has some stupid reason for not including mission mode. I do miss it too.

Same characters over and over in every Nickolodean crossover game. Half of them are reskins.

People still buy skins for first person games?
To each their own I guess.

I absolutely hate the trend that started with Shrek where every animated feature has to end with a dance number, and that trend is still going strong for some odd reason. I hope that won't be the case here.

To anyone who haven't played it yet - go fresh. Read nothing about the game, know nothing about the game.
It is a wild ride all the way to the end.

More and more reviews here have, let's be honest, made up cons just for the sake of it.

There is a lot riding on this one. If this flops, regardless of quality, there will probably be another 30 years before we see the next Nintendo movie adaptaiton.

It is a fun twist on the breakout out genre, but it comes with same frustrations as the game it was based on.

Jungle Book Alladin and Lion King were not remasters, but ports.
Are we just getting a port of a genesis game? Or is it gonna be remastered with new graphics like Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap?
