@MJF I think we could reasonably expect Elden Ring to be honest. RDR2... Basically anything that runs on PS4. If you look at the quality of ports we've got on the Switch, even with its complete lack of power, a step up to the "previous gen" makes perfect sense. I think the "miracle ports" on Switch 2 will be PS5 games getting ported, PS4 ports should be the standard.
@larryisaman 100% agree. All these complaints that it isn't duel screen or innovative or made of holographic jello are bizarre to me. Sometimes it's nice to have an upgrade to an almost-perfect console without reinventing the wheel as you said
@Lightsiyd making the higher boss cells easier than the previous ones is an.... interesting balance idea, to say the least. 5 mutations makes you borderline invulnerable.
Tears by a huge margin. BotW is legitimately a 6/10 IMO. The open world is nice and almost completely empty, I felt almost no compulsion to actually explore the world. TotK, on the other hand, had so many cool things to find and discover, it kept me engaged for much much longer.
No point in more remakes since Dolphin does a better job of that than the Switch itself does. Honestly, probably just going to focus on PC gaming this year if the Switch 2 isn't coming. The Switch was awesome but it's really time for something new.
Honestly in the running for one of my favorite games of all time. The quality of the updates and DLC only elevates it. Still haven't beaten 5BC but some day.
Probably not, but it wouldn't be impossible. The PS2 sales record just feels kind of immortal and unbeatable, like Wayne Gretzky's hockey stats. It'll be weird if anything ever does overtake it
@-wc- I'm with you on this. These "kid games" are just trash. The first videogame I remember playing (and beating) was Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights, which IMO is the perfect example of how to make a kid-friendly game that doesn't suck.
@Anti-Matter this is coming from the guy who considers M rated games to be an actual physical representation of "evil". But sure, don't rain on your parade...
@Arkham24601 the right stick works as an analog throttle. No issues using it for both Wreckfest and Trials Rising (which is extremely throttle sensitive)
I have 70 hours in and I feel like I barely started. I've been mad busy lately so I've been playing games that are more pick up and play for a bit - Trials Rising in particular. I definitely plan on going back to TOTK when I get a spare weekend
The latest update (Interceptor) completely broke the game, resulting in endless crash loops after 5 minutes of gameplay. The devs have been completely silent on the issue while still releasing updates for other consoles. Do not buy it
@SteamEngenius so tired of this overhyping of AI. I tried to get ChatGPT to make a really basic block of GDScript code and it was utter garbage. This has nothing to do with AI and everything to do with bad corporate practices

Re: Nintendo Confirms Removal Of Switch Online SNES Game
@tektite_captain I genuinely have about 10 hours in it. For some reason the mechanics are satisfying af for me
Re: Feature: 8 Games That Defined The Switch Generation
I think Celeste would be a better choice than Hollow Knight as an "indie darling"

Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2024' Stats Are Available Now
@nhSnork Tainted Jacob was such an unfun character. Tainted Lost was worse but not by much
Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2024' Stats Are Available Now
I put 700 hours into the Binding of Isaac this year.
Next closest was Darkest Dungeon with 60 hours.
I uh... really like Isaac
Re: PSA: If You're Into Switch 2 'Leaks', It's The Wild West Out There Right Now

Re: Anniversary: 20 Years On, Metroid Prime 2 Represents The Franchise At Its Experimental Best
@buxner I thought I was the only person who felt that way about Torvus Bog. One of the most quietly beautiful video game locations ever IMO
Re: Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition Has Been Rated For Switch
Lots of nostalgia for the N64 version. I hope they retain the old school art style
Re: Dead Cells' Final Update Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Lightsiyd making the higher boss cells easier than the previous ones is an.... interesting balance idea, to say the least. 5 mutations makes you borderline invulnerable.
Re: Dead Cells' Final Update Arrives Next Month
@Bikadovlt there's only 4 (or 5?) paid DLCs out of probably 20 or so major updates so not sure where you're getting that from
Re: Poll: So, Do You Prefer Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Or Tears Of The Kingdom?
Tears by a huge margin. BotW is legitimately a 6/10 IMO. The open world is nice and almost completely empty, I felt almost no compulsion to actually explore the world. TotK, on the other hand, had so many cool things to find and discover, it kept me engaged for much much longer.

Re: Players Need To Start "Feeling Comfortable" With Not Owning Games, Says Ubisoft Subs Boss
@Tyranexx this push for all-digital is such a pain for rural gamers
Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Trademarks 'PAND LAND'
"Pand Land" sounds like some NES era bootleg of Pacman or something
Re: Random: Players Share Bananas Gameplay Of New King Kong Game, And It's Not Looking Good
@NinjaNicky the movie tie in on PS2 was awesome and I'll die on that hill
Re: Alien Hominid HD & Alien Hominid Invasion Crash Onto Switch This November
I never managed to beat the original on PS2 back in the day. Looking forward to giving it another shot
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Nintendo Direct, Then?
Straight garbage. I'll never forgive them for F-Zero 99.
TTYD remake was the only decent part and that's still a remake of a game I played 15 years ago
Re: No Man's Sky 'Echoes' Update Brings New Robotic Race, Improved Visuals, And More
@Arawn93 woah we got capes?? Nice, did we get expedition exclusive capes retroactively?
Re: No Man's Sky 7th Anniversary Video Teases Upcoming Major Update
@Magician they have, since the last update. My old save was stuck in a permanent crash loop but is now playable again
Re: Boom! Quake II Is Now Available To Download From The Switch eShop
I really couldn't get too into Quake. The combination of very unsatisfactory weapons and overly spongy enemies made it kind of a chore
Re: Talking Point: Will You Pay $50 For Red Dead Redemption On Switch?
I'll wait on the reviews and make sure it's not a broken mess, then hell yeah I will. I never even played Undead Nightmare
Re: Anniversary: Dead Cells Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving Five Years On
Honestly in the running for one of my favorite games of all time. The quality of the updates and DLC only elevates it. Still haven't beaten 5BC but some day.
Re: Poll: Do You Think Switch Can Catch PS2's Total Sales Before 'Switch 2' Arrives?
Probably not, but it wouldn't be impossible. The PS2 sales record just feels kind of immortal and unbeatable, like Wayne Gretzky's hockey stats. It'll be weird if anything ever does overtake it
Re: Survivor: Castaway Island Makes The Leap From TV Show To Switch Game This October
Truly in the shovelware stage now
Re: Mortal Kombat 1's First DLC Character Has Seemingly Been Confirmed
@WolfyTn Pennywise would be pretty awesome
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Donkey Konga
Voted Japan, Europe is fine, NA might be one of my least favorite box arts ever. The rhythm is not in me.
Re: Where To Buy Nintendo Switch Pastel Joy-Con
@thesilverbrick wait, really? That's cool, I never heard that
Re: Random: Mortal Kombat Co-Creator Knows Who He'd Add To Smash Bros., If Nintendo Was To Ask
Has no one here played Metal Gear Solid? Scorpion would be fine if Snake is fine.
Re: Review: AEW: Fight Forever - The Spirit Of WWF No Mercy Lives On In The Ring
Well it sounds better than I expected, but I still don't see a reason to put Wrestling Empire down
Re: Yes, The Baby Shark Game Is Real And It Is Swimming Onto Switch This September
@-wc- I'm with you on this. These "kid games" are just trash. The first videogame I remember playing (and beating) was Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights, which IMO is the perfect example of how to make a kid-friendly game that doesn't suck.
Re: Rumour: Metal Gear Solid 4, 5, and Peace Walker May Be Included In Vol. 2 Collection
I'd absolutely love to play MGS5. No other shooter feels as good control wise
Re: Random: The Super Mario RPG Switch Remake Clarifies A Couple Of Cameos
@Daniel36 why wouldn't it be?
Re: Super Mario RPG Is Getting A Remake This November, And It Looks Amazing
@Gravitron but... Earthbound is on NSO?
Re: Vampire Survivors Finally Comes To Switch This August With Couch Co-op
@ComfyAko it's actually really solid
Re: Vampire Survivors Finally Comes To Switch This August With Couch Co-op
As @CharlieGirl said, finally!
That said, I don't know if I'll actually get this, since I played the Christ out of it on my phone. Still glad to see it on Switch
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder, A Brand New 2D Mario Game, Is Coming To Switch
Holy lord this direct is loaded
Re: Batman Arkham Trilogy Swoops To Switch This Fall
I've never actually played these so this is a good chance. Hope it runs decently
Re: Super Mario RPG Is Getting A Remake This November, And It Looks Amazing
So this is why it's not on NSO

Re: Nintendo's Upcoming Party Game Everybody 1-2-Switch! Showcases "100 Players At Once"
@johnvboy I wonder how much of the sales are influenced by the fact it was a launch title

DO NOT BUY NO MAN'S SKY ON SWITCH

Re: Long-Rumoured LEGO Football Game Has Been Rated In Korea
@Anti-Matter it figures you'd consider the most popular sport in the world "lame"

Re: Soapbox: Modern Zelda Bosses Are Getting Harder, But They're Nothing Compared To The Oldies
I can't think of a Zelda boss that was genuinely difficult, in any Zelda game. They're always a big set piece (not that I don't enjoy them)
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
@presenttense be careful though, throwing an item onto a zonai device activates it!
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I figured it out fast but it made me feel smart: Stick a large brightbloom on your depths exploration vehicle for mobile lighting
Re: No Man's Sky 'Singularity' Update Adds New Story, Character Customisation And More
@GreyFenyx seconding this. My 200 hour save file has been rendered completely unplayable since Interceptor. Don't buy this on Switch
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Dataminers Uncover Hidden Paraglider Fabric
The ChuChu fabric is already in the game, thus rendering any others obsolete
