9/10 - Loved it. A handful of exclusives as well as multiple PS4 ports. Exactly what I wanted. Can't wait to see Sony Ponies frothing at the mouth over The Duskbloods exclusivity.
It's looking like a strong Spring. For me? The Hundred Line, Fantasy Life i, Lunar Collection, Sanabi, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Neon Blood, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, Mighty Morphin Power Ranger: Rita's Rewind, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1 & 2, Raidou Remastered, and The Thing Remastered.
With only a few years of life left in the PS5, it probably won't even reach half of Switch's lifetime sales (35m), lol. North America really is Sony-country. If Capcom port Monster Hunter World to Switch 2...it's all she wrote.
You have to assume major third party partners (Square Enix, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Koei Tecmo) have had their Switch 2 dev kits for a while already. Not beginning in June.
The quote that influenced me to put a preorder down. I appreciate the artist, Rui Komatsuzaki. And I enjoyed the demo. I'm invested, even though my tactical rpg backlog is deeper than the Grand Canyon.
I don't know. Many Japanese publishers have slowly begun to mimic Capcom's 2017 approach to making their properties have a more global appeal. Non-modern-audience western tastes constitutes a major chunk of console gaming.
A cross-gen game, I don't doubt it. Nintendo will give us a side-by-side comparison. "Here's what it looks like on Switch, and here's what it looks like on Switch 2."
No physical, no purchase from me. It's a weird situation where the North American physical release for Switch was quietly cancelled, much like Little Nightmares back in 2018.
All the screen grabs I took and posted to Miiverse were pulled down by their moderation team. Nintendo probably doesn't want to hire a team to moderate such chaos again.
One of the better port houses getting a swift kick in the stomach. What's the industry tally on layoffs so far? 1k? Was around 16k at the end of last year.
There are quite a few action rpgs with couch co-op. Children of Morta, Victor Vran, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Snack World, Full Metal Furies, Darksiders Genesis, etc.
But turn-based rpg? For The King is the only one that comes to mind.
I want the ability to filter publishers. Cut out wide swaths of licensed games, shovelware, and asset flips from my purview. RedDeerGames, GameMill, Outright Games, etc.

I always turn rumble off to conserve battery life in my controllers.
Re: Nintendo Delays Switch 2 Pre-Orders In The US Amidst New Trump Tariffs
$500 for a console. $550 for the bundle, $80-$90 for games would be my guess.

Should be interesting to see how CDPR pare this back to fit on a 64GB cartridge.
Re: "Don't Let Nintendo Ruin The Entire Industry" - Is $80 For Mario Kart World A Bridge Too Far?
Going from $60 to $80 as a beginning price point, suggesting that $70 or less is a "budget" price, is beyond wild.

Re: Halo: Master Chief Collection For Switch 2 May Not Launch In Its 'Complete' Form
Played up to Halo 4. My nostalgia for the series lessened with each entry. Halo 2 multiplayer was peak.

Re: Talking Point: Which Switch Game Needs A 'Nintendo Switch 2 Edition' The Most?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is arguably the worst-running OG Switch game. 240p sub 30-fps in spots. After that, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct For March 2025?
5/10 - A few things made me very happy. Raidou Remastered, Saga Frontier 2, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion. Everything else was not for me.

Re: Analyst Expects Switch 2 To Sell Like Hot Cakes In Its First Quarter
@Koda1000
PS5 will be five years old in November, where it'll be going into its six year. The average console lifespan is seven years.
Re: Analyst Expects Switch 2 To Sell Like Hot Cakes In Its First Quarter
PS6 in late 2027, because the next Xbox is due late next year.

@GrailUK I doubt Nintendo will replace it with a new system. It's just...gone.
Re: Opinion: Scrapping Gold Points Makes Sense For Nintendo, But It's A Bitter Pill For Loyal Fans
A shame, but understandable. Current Nintendo President Furukawa joined the company as an accountant and it shows.
Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Finally Lands New May Release Date
@SpaceboyScreams It isn't a 3DS remaster, it's a new current-gen entry in the series.

Clearly Nacon are eager to port Robocop to the Switch 2.
Re: Talking Point: Did All The Switch 2 Leaks 'Damage' Nintendo Or The Console's Reveal?
