@eza Can't agree with that since we have Yakuza Kiwami on Switch 1 these days. Power of the platform had nothing to do with it.

I still remember when Daisuke Sato said the Switch wasn't a good platform for Yakuza...seven years ago. People change their tune when there's 150m+ consoles out in the wild and money to be made.

This topic just reminds me that I need to get back to Alternate Jake Hunter...eventually. It's going to be one of those underrated gems a decade from now. It isn't often a game gets so few reviews to not qualify for an aggregate score.

@Moistnado Not really. Code-in-a-box releases are a one-time-use and game-key cards are just the industry standard now. Look at the "physical" release for Doom: The Dark Ages on Playstation and Xbox. It's a download.

I'm ready for a second playthrough. My first was on Xbox Series X.

My hype levels are still at a 6/10. I'm eager to play Cyberpunk 2077 to see how well the port turned out and to see how well the Switch 1 emulation has turned out.

Definitely, definitely, and never subscribed. Switch is my preferred place to play solo experiences. But online multiplayer? Playstation is where all my friends play.

All true. It makes me wonder if Switch 2 will drop off around 360/PS3 lifetime sales numbers, 85 million. It'll be interesting to see.

I assume 10 million sold in in the launch window (six months), 20 million sold between June 2025 and June 2026. Nintendo enthusiasts will show up in force. But will casual fans be as eager? Years three and four of the Switch 2's life will tell the tale.

Having options is good. PC handhelds is a cool sector. But until Microsoft normalize Windows for these devices, Switch 2 is going to outsell them 20-to-1. Regardless, the space will be even more interesting once Playstation and Xbox arrive with their handhelds in a couple or few years.

I would've preferred a Morrowind remake, but this will suffice. Nothing says fun like having a 100% reflect damage build. Don't throw away those prison wrist irons, people. Enchant them.
