@Olliemar28 There's something to be said about wanting to be part of the day-one zeitgeist and discussion for a new release. Even though my Switch collection is substantial, I felt the need to purchase an Xbox Series X to feel like being a part of early Starfield discussion.

@LadyCharlie I wouldn't say it was Embracer Group's intention to shut studios down. The problem is that they were burning cash they didn't have to spend. They were dependent on getting a 2 billion cash influx from Saudi blood-money. But when Saudi pulled the funds the bottom fell out.

@Olliemar28 It'll be interesting to see who'll make a buy-offer for Gearbox Publishing. I doubt Embracer Group will recoup the 1.3 billion they spent.

@marcelominucelli That's what worries me. Which means that it's fine...if you're playing offline. But if the portion of the game you're playing involves online connectivity (versus mode, towers of time, and the krypt, etc) then things fall apart.

Still waiting for a video that says "captured on Switch hardware". I don't have a lot of faith in the Switch port for this game.

I can appreciate the history of the game and the making-of documentary. But I'd rather play Kung Fu on NES honestly.

Devolver Digital is one of my favorite indie publishers. I'll probably purchase a physical copy on general principle. Although I should get around to playing Doinksoft's Gato Roboto first.

From the developers of Balan Wonderworld comes...Sonic Superstars. Would I rather have a Sonic game from a questionable developer or what looks to be the best 2D Mario since World. Not...a tough...choice.

TennoCon was a bit of a soggy taco. It isn't clear what WF 1999 is going to be. Other than a nice callback to Digital Extreme's previous game, Dark Sector. It feels like yet another weekly Kahl-like mission, until DE say otherwise.

Since Castle Crashers is getting a physical release next year, I assume an announcement for a physical release of Alien Hominid won't be far behind.

I've always maintained that RDR games are the Dollars trilogy in video game form. Arguably the best "wild west" experience of the early to late 1800s Murica.

As long as the frame pacing is consistent the lower fps doesn't matter in a slow, methodical, stealth / action series like MGS.

Not gonna lie, as a Jiraiya fan, every time I see his clone Koji Kashin I get a little misty-eye. Years ago some Youtuber did an AMV tribute to him using Blue Foundation's "This is Goodbye"; good stuff.
