Original Article: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character DLC might have ended some time ago now with the addition of Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series, but Nintendo isn't completely done with the game just yet.

I’d like Steve on his own, not both. Japan got them separately, but the cost of importing 1 nearly matches the cost of the 2-pack
@gaga64 At that point I'd say buy him second hand sometime or buy the two pack and sell Alex.
I got both on Friday. Besides, I'm all for variants. I wish I had P2 Bayonetta and Girl Corrin. Why is it that Cloud Strife, ROB, and Steve has to be the only Smash amiibo characters I have P2 Versions of? I have two versions of 8-Bit Mario, but Super Mario Maker 1 is practically useless, and I got the box signed by Charles Martinet.
They look like Minecraft merch lmao
@GogGogGogGog That's what they can double as. I mean, wouldn't Cloud Strife and Sephiroth double as Nintendo x Square Enix "Amiibo Arts" figures?
I love Minecraft so much how could i not buy these? I should just buy Minecraft 3ds and have a complete Nintendo x Minecraft collection lol
Edit: just realized my goal is now impeded by Dungeons, but i wanted to pick that up anyway lol
They're still not up on the UK Nintendo store for some reason..
I had them preordered for store pickup at Best Buy, lo and behold Best Buy fricks up and doesn’t have any stock of them. I gotta wait til they get it in to get them, lol. Oh well.
I wouldn't mind getting Steve standalone, why do I have to pay for a figure I don't want?
And yes, I could import, but that's not an option for me, unless I buy it from someone who does.
@YoshiAngemon Theres two ROB variants since his default colour used in smash differs between Japan and elsewhere - grey for overseas, famicom red/beige in japan, which meant that they already had plans to make the two variants and just brought the second one overseas.
For cloud corrin and bayo, I think its just because they were the last DLC characters for smash 4. They are the only ones who got a new specific mould, so its likely just as a final big hurrah sort of thing.
@YoshiAngemon That's how I see amiibo figures. I get them for the figures themselves, not the bonuses, especially those with little to no merchandise like Captain Falcon, Dr. Mario, biker Wario, the Miis or Chibi-Robo.
@solarwolf07 And minecraft legends!
I haven't added to my amiibo collection for quite some, actually. I don't shop online and stores in my area stopped carrying them years ago. Sad times, I'd love to add these to the pile.
I was able to walk into my local Gamestop yesterday and pick these up without problems.
Those are really pretty amiibo. It's a simplistic design, but the amiibo captures it so well.
@gaga64 I'm in the exact same position as you. Minecraft is an important enough franchise that I think it deserves a place with the rest of my Smash Bros. amiibo collection, but I don't really care that much about the game itself and have no interest in getting anything beyond the flagship character.
I like intricately designed Amiibo or Smash Amiibo of characters I actually play as so no, I won't be picking these up.
@JoeSooper Managed to get them off Amazon, just been delivered today. Not sure why Nintendo UK haven't had them in stock.
Mine arrive on Tuesday. Not quite sure why the figures look more saturated, but as Steve was my most wanted character prior to release despite the fact that I haven't played Minecraft regularly for years, I couldn't pass up the chance to get him (and Alex, I guess)
Picked them up at Target yesterday. They’re more vibrant than I was expecting.
To anybody in the UK after these, Nintendo UK store don't have them, but Amazon and Game do
I'll wait for Sephiroth, I have kind of an inside joke name I want to give to him within the game, other than that I have no real interest in any foreseeable amiibos.
I got 'em. They're the same height as my Minecraft figures if you count the trophy-base. Seem sturdy. Nice and appealing. I like that from a decent distance away, they're clearly Steve and Alex. The colour choices were smart from a sales-item standpoint in that case. Funny compared to Byleth who's ultra detailed, but I think the Steve and Alex Amiibos look great.
I instantly got them. This is a great reminder of how hard Sakurai worked to get relevant and popular characters into smash. It’s a wonderful celebration
I don’t have an amiibo collection.😅
These will be the only two Minecraft related objects in my home.
For UK peeps they are on the Nintendo Store now for £25.99.
I usually get my amiibo from the Nintendo UK Store, and they just went up, so I got my order in.
Considering they're Minecraft, I can see them being in high demand.
That link doesn’t work, but they’re there…
@gaga64
So get the two pack and move on
Ordered the pair from My Nintendo UK yesterday at 4:50, in my hands right now. Gotta admit I’m impressed with the speed of service.
What do the Minecraft amiibo give you when you scan them?
