Re: Balatro Developer Calls Out 'PEGI' For Its "Weirdo" 18+ Rating

Don't want to be the weird one here, but as an educator I do understand kids (even teenagers) should not be gambling and we as adults don't do enough to stop it. This of course becomes complex when asking what games actually suggest gambling. I mean I understand teenagers are exposed to a lot of sex and violence they technically should not see, but gambling definitely make me uncomfortable because of the serious addiction it can become. There are also big cultural differences applying and the layers of complexity added by fact that teenagers ARE exposed to content not appropriate just because of the internet.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Update 1.6 Arriving On Switch Next Week

@mlt

I played all three games. Ritual of the night was awesome. Only segment I had problem with was that ice cavern boss where the frame rate dropped, otherwise it ran smoothly (I played it two years ago I think). Curse of the moon 1 was spectacular. Curse of the moon 2 was cool but felt like unnecessarily hard so I only played one play through.

Very good series imo

I thought this was an amazing game. Absolutely loved it and helped me satiate my Castlevania thirst.

Not a big fan of the dlcs it had, though.... Only was able to play though the first retro style chapter which was pretty limited and felt like a gag. Never could get into the campaign with other characters either. Though the first 8bit prequel was spectacular (never could complete the 2nd one).

I'm also part of the crowd who doesn't get the performance critiques. I mean, I played it like two years ago and I understood that at that moment the game was "fixed". Only moment where I had notable issues was during the last moments of that very late game boss, but it was only in that moment. Is this something that has become worse?

In either case, I would absolutely buy a sequel.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door For Switch?

@Not_Soos it's interesting that you compare things like cat calling, which is harassment, to a character having the right to self-determination and use the gender they are comfortable with.

I kinda get that it's this thing where even villains are likable and good, despite doing some things that are evidently wrong... But oh well, not sure if I have the time and energy to go down that rabbit hole

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door For Switch?

@Splatoon_Guy they didn't "add unnecessary politics" to it... The original Japanese game had it, the American version ommited it explicitly. This being relocated made adjustments to the dialogue to make it a more accurate adaptation. In that sense, the original translation unnecessarily made political omissions.

This new one does remove some things but it's more like very inappropriate cat calling or weird things that may be uncomfortable...

Re: Palworld Has A Pokémon Mod, Though Video Takedowns Are Already Being Dished Out

Lxlxrxzx

@StefanN it is such a sad thing because yes, a lot of people really love pokemon. I used to. But now a days the fact that it's a private asset that generates revenue for shareholders gets in the way and these stupid release calendars get made and not enough resources go into the development and so we get the half-baked, unfinished games we get. Such a shame because the developers themselves do show interesting ideas and changes to the formula, but at the end of the day it's the stakeholders greed that gets the upper hand. Just a money making "they'll buy it anyway" machine.

Re: Yes, Nintendo Is Aware Of Palworld's Existence

Pokémon Company has become such a hyve of scum and villainy that I would actually be happy for Pal World to inflict damage on them by existing. Unfortunately its not true and Pokémon will continue being the disrespect towards the audience that it so far has been.

Re: Zelda Producer Responds To Fans Who Want A More "Traditional Linear" Adventure

Lxlxrxzx

It's weird, I thought TotK was spectacular and loved how it integrated Zelda elements. Only drawback, or double edged sword, was returning to the same Hyrule which made it more maneurable but also took some novelty away.

I think TotK, albtw and MM are great examples of a remix to the original formula with vastly different gameplay twists.

Knowing Nintendo, I'm sure they will one day return to a more traditional Zelda format just for the novelty of it.

Re: Anniversary: Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Is 10 Years Old Today

It was such an amazing feeling to be alive when this game came out. The game has this amazing mix of being minimalistic in it's design and also open world. I remember you could do most of the dungeons in any order, though they do escalate in difficulty and the last one in Death Mountain was considerably harder. I replayed this so many times in hard mode. Truly one of the best 2D Zeldas. Please do port to Switch
