@Mjoen I think part of the problem is the overal attitude of corporations. It's not like they even pay their employees appropriate wages, so its just perceived as greed (which, sure, make money, but don't be so blatantly obvious and I just)
@Beaucine I did play OOT Master Mode and it was awful. It just felt unnecessarily complicated to the point where the game did not flow. There would be things like shootable eyes or switches hidden in very weird places and even bizarre things like cow switches (like a cow literally stuck through a wall that worked like a shootable switch).
Botw master mode was cool, I did enjoy the difficulty ramp except for the trials of the master sword which just became too geeky for me (they required very specific weapon and action combinations in order to beat).
Other master modes like TP, skyward sword and Link between worlds felt like good master modes (harder enemies and no spawning hearts).
With TOTK, I really enjoyed the game, but I've put so many hours into it that idk if I would do it again.
I imagine something as smashing as TOTK and God of War make this a tougher to sell product that feels derivative. It's a shame cause the first one definitely called my attention (though always being in discount in the eShop was a red flag). Perhaps a sequel would've ironed out the rough edges and brought something cool to the table.
Even just a Frodo Stealth and action game like the Frodo sequences in the original Xbox, PS2 games would've made wonders instead of this dreadful choice (even though I recognize they tried to be unique but, you know, if it ain't broke, why fix it?). So sad, LOTR deserves good adaptations.
I had a very bad opinion based on the trailer but this actually looks very cool. My only gripe will be paying Ubisoft 60 USD for a Metroidvania when so many good ones exist for less than half the price :/
I want to point out that controls and tech limitations are also part of what made older games harder.
I really liked the balance this time. I did die several times with most of bosses, but the difficulty didn't feel extremely frustrating, which is a very good thing.
I want to point out also that since Skyward Sword, difficulty has been modulated to he just challenging enough (contrary to how easy twilight princess was, for example). I think making the fight satisfying is what is important.
I guess if they open a new game + or something it should absolutely make it very noticeably hard. I am happy with the level achieved.
Just looks very generic and souless tbh. The animations look cool and definitely there's production value, but not a lot of essence behind what I'm looking at. The music in the trailer is concerning. A comeback to Warrior Within or Two Thrones would have been cool.
I particularly love the fact that even getting to the dungeons feel like a dungeon itself.
SPOILERS The wind temple's entrance in particular was very memorable. Loved the ship dynamic and narrative. I do get that feel that temple's don't seem as extensive as they used to, but I do really like them this time around. Bosses in particular are much better and fun, plus the sages substitute items in a very clever way.
