Re: Random: Nintendo Has Supposedly Changed The Day Of Switch Game Releases

@tseliot @rvcolem1 @Birdgas
At least for PS and Xbox, I remember video games and DVDs releases on Tuesdays. At least for the movies, some people would call it "DVDuesdays." For Nintendo during the GC and Wii eras, I think I remember it being Sundays and Mondays.

@OctolingKing13 It's not just here. I've seen this "news" on other sites too.

Re: It's Official, Nintendo Switch Is The Best-Selling Hardware In Japan

@shgamer Everything about Japan's demographics is irrelevant. The Switch is still the best selling hardware of all time in Japan.

@UltimateOtaku91 I don't think it'd take years. With price drops or new models, the Switch would definitely dethrone the PS2.

I don't know about other countries but, in the US, the Switch has had the same MSRP since launch. Of course there's been tons of sales, but no permanent price cuts.

I think a Switch Mini (that you could fit in your pocket) would be cool. If it was like $100-$150 bucks, I believe it'd sell relatively well. Throw in a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe code and it'd sell like hotcakes.

Nintendo had to update their forecast for sales in the fiscal year from 15 to 15.5 mil. Even Nintendo underestimated how the Switch would do in its 6 year.

Re: Random: The 'Pokémon-With-Guns' Game On Steam Is Yet More Homework Copying

@Druidsbrook Agreed. I feel the same about "Smash clones." A lot of the "clones" have merit. Hell, Smash may have popularized the style of fighting games, but the Outfoxies should be considered the first.

We don't say 2D fighters are Street Fighter clones, so why do we do it with Smash and Pokemon? It's just reductive to say they're clones and leave it at that.

Re: Pokémon GO Game Director Responds To 'Hear Us Niantic' Social Media Backlash

@OFFICIALMichi Except the game is still not what it used to be? They've removed incentives that existed before the pandemic, such as the legendaries that you could get from weekly research breakthroughs. So, now they've nerfed remote raids, but still have yet to provide other ways of getting legendaries.

This has nothing to do with "community" or "getting outside" like Niantic continues to spout. It has to do with getting that delicious location data that Niantic can sale. Good job falling for Niantic's BS excuses I guess?
