Re: Nintendo Hammers Out A New Update For Super Mario Maker

Kosmo

I wish we could look for a specific user. I wanna play my friend's courses, but they're to lazy to communicate the numbers.
That, and blocking other users so I don't have to see Kaizo-levels ever again.

And since I'm here, here are some levels done by wife and I: generally pretty short, pretty tough, but never unfair.

Forteresse de Megaman (91F4-0000-0012-3F33)
Manoir Court (D1FC-0000-0015-89B1)
Don't let Bowser see you! (1CF1-0000-0015-AEEF)
And clearly a crazy roller-coaster level from Hell... Pas de panique... (2798-0000-0015-E47E)

Let me know what you think of them.

Re: Review: Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. (3DS)

After playing this game for a while, I think it'll be an underrated gem, highy sought after in some years. The X-Com-esque tactical side, the graphics, the litterary references to so many writers (kudos to the HP Lovecraft references), the playabilty, the dialogs, everything is fun! It's definitly a must for anyone who like strategy games!

Re: Code Name S.T.E.A.M. Fails to Chart in Week of Poor Sales in Japan

Trust me, Codename STEAM is a fun game, with a lot of qualities. It's not the game of the year by any means but it's fun, new and challenging.

I'm sure it'd have sold like hotcakes if it was a Pokémon or Mario-themed game... And then we say that Nintendo doesn't take risks... when they do, it rarely pays off...

I have a feeling, it's going to be an underrated gem, so I'm keeping my copy handy...

Re: Sega Producer Explains Exactly What Went Wrong With Sonic Boom

Kosmo

@Einherjar You, sir, are extremely right.

But really, what were they expecting? Sonic Boom looks like a beta of Jack and Daxter with Sonic. Huge hub world, some poopy speed sections, and a some fighting. Now, J&D had at least some cool exploration, and everything was polished to a very nice level. (don't like the game myself but I can't deny it's good)
You won't make me believe that developers today can't redo what they've done in the great era of 3D platformers of the N64. If Sonic Boom was a bit like Banjo-Kazooie, with a lot of exploration and collectibles, but with a Sonic sauce, speed and platforming, it'd be perfect. Even a sort of ring road around the stage where we can speed could be cool...
The best example of nice Sonic exploration is in Sonic Adventure. The Speed Highway day section, with Sonic (after running down the building) was so much fun to explore! We never got that after SA2.

Re: Ubisoft's Unreleased and Finished Wii U Game Has Apparently Been Identified

Kosmo

I'm going to be crude: it looks like poopitypoop, and it is most probably poopitypoop, maybe even one of the poooooooooooooooooopiest games that could ever disgrace the Wii U. Another piece of shovelware made on the spare time of the worst assistant they could find with half an idea.

And with that goes the last bit of confidence we had in Ubisoft for the Wii U.
