@JubilifeRival You've also got to take into account that the studio working on this game is the core of Rareware, and that they have a stellar reputation. They haven't had a shot in some time now, so fans of their previous products are excited.
@Clockwerk Because now it's playing with Power! Or on Wii U...
Anyway, it's how Thomas Happ alone developed such a great game. It shows just how well you can do if you put your heart and time consistently into something. I immensely liked the game, and I plan on replaying it often.
Still no for me. Super Paper Mario was already not to my taste, Sticker Star I couldn't stand, and I'm not wasting more money on this one. Wake me up when the next Mario and Luigi is up...
Bad press or not, the game was still-born, and now the people that bought it will have a hard time actually finding others online, which further decreases the appeal of the game. Personally, I'd have gotten the game if there was a decent solo, bt it doesn't even have that.
@Piersen Since the books don't use any images, artwork, extracts or anything copyrighted, a cease and desist can't be issued. The whole is plain text, just giving info about the series and some insight. Another French publisher called Pix'N'Love does use pictures and such for some books but has a partnership with the concerned parties (namely Sega and Nintendo for Metroid's 30th). If you can read french, go to their website and see their little explantation about how they can publish their books without worry, even without a partnership. It's interesting.
Having read those books (I'm French), I can highly recommend them. They are very well written.
Actually, the "cruelty" towards animals is adressed in the different Monster Hunter mangas (Orage, Flash and Chronicles, here in France).
It's said that the Guild regulates the hunts, and that it punished unauthorized ones. It examinates requests and validates them, or not. Of course, enough money can bypass such regulations. Also, the monster are pushed in the "Hunt zones" that we play in by Guild Hunters, so that there are no consequence on their natural habitat. According to the mangas, only feral monsters roaming in human-inhabited areas (which there aren't a lot of, understandably) can be hunted without Guild permissions by local Hunters.
And let's face it, if the Guild didn't keep ALL the Rathian scales and Plates, I wouldn't have to kill a F%$*!ton of them to make my armor!!!!! XD
I certainly hated this E3. With no Digital Event, there was no rythm, no surprises, and all we had was a slow, painful reveal for Pokémon SUn and Moon that had nothing exciting, and several hours of spoilers for the newest Zelda. Yay...
At least last years, there was some actual games to look at.
I traded my copy in less than a week. I did all the levels, got most medals, and realized I'll never play it again, and even if I wanted to, I have Starfox 64.
Tried it, didn't like it. Clearly too much swearing, and too much "edge" for me. The story sounds more like a SMT game at first than Pokémon. Just not for me, doesn't mean it's bad.
@ROBLOGNICK It's been done to offer/include that kind of DLC to Europe and the US to "apologize" for the wait of localization. Especially cosmetic DLC. Given that the game won't even be translated into European languages, I consider it a minimum.
@DarthNocturnal A delayed game is eventually good... Just look at Shantae Half Genie Hero. It's a year and a half late, but at least it looks very good, and from the demo, it's not just looks.
As pretty as it looks, I wouldn't buy an OOT HD remaster. The 3D remake was good enough. It was great at the time, and holds well on 3DS, but with the means we have now, the game's locations just feel a little small. I'll hold out until Zelda Wii U and its Skyrim feel.
@Fidu Sure, this project in particular couldn't have worked. But maybe a 3D-classic Zelda on 3DS? If the team is dedicated, there'd have been a chance.
@Fidu Not really. Do you know the game Ittle Dew? That's what they did. Although they had an unfavorable response, Nintendo let them keep their own assets and even welcomed the game on Wii U.
@Sligeach I'm not counting the Mii costumes. Those are dispensable. The additional characters and battlefields aren't. It's around 50$, and it's a steep price, but it's still quality.
@Sligeach Together, the characters and battlefields are 50$. That's a lot, but I find it's worth it: those DLCs didn't make themselves, and they add a lot.
@GunplaGamer It's nice to have a friendly conversation, even if we don't see eye to eye.
Personally, I wouldn't buy the 80$ edition, and yet I did for other games. I guess just knowing that everything could be there, and yet isn't, isn't doing it for me.
But no, I'm not confused. I'm standing by what I say. Hear me out: the writers wrote 3 scenarios, developped them, and released them separately. Why? It has nothing to do with cartridge space: everything should be able to fit one of them. It's all about the money. They know people want the full experience. They know everyone will take both versions anyway. Is there anyone who won't? And Revelations? Same thing. People are curious, they're gonna want to see it. Buying another cartridge to have the full experience of the same game, not even a sequel or anything, is basically physical DLC. Now, the Japanese sadly are used to this kind of scam. They often get re-releases of a game some 6 months after, at full retail price. Just look at how Kingdom Hearts was handled, for example. But in the West, we don't do that, except for Street Fighter.
I don't want to have to buy two Metroid games, just to see what happens if I take a right turn instead of left at one decive moment. I don't want to have to buy Starfox 64 10 times just to see all the endings (with 2 as paying DLC) I don't want to have to buy another Smash Bros game if I want to change my main. And I sure as hell don't want to buy 2 Fire Emblem games plus 1 DLC to see all the ramifications of a scenario.
Seriously, what a load of bullcrap! So we have to pay for TWO games, one DLC that actually co,tains an ending, and then for some maps? Then why didn't Fire Emblem on GBA wasn't released in two copies? Why not separate Eliwood's quest from the others? And for those buying the game used, you don't even get the three scenarios... Seriously, this is bad. I'm boycotting this game.
The co-op is excellent, but it's one that will ruin friendships, for sure. I just had a blast with a friend playing co-op, and we were at each other's throat all the time.

Maybe Konami is working on Castlevania Survive too?
Re: Mercenaries Saga 3 Headed To Japan Next Week
Not a bad game by any means, but the story is so dull... It's like playing a tabletop role game with the worst GM ever...
