So if they are just releasing trailers for upcoming games...then that means hypothetically that big scale Nintendo Directs are done this year? We haven't even had one yet! This pandemic is starting to ruin all hopes for a major Nintendo Direct.
@Reigestugatensho Well, I'm not into seafood at all. I don't think I've ever tried seafood. It just doesn't appeal to my tastes. Then again, everyone is different.
No way he's 50!? 50 is the new 20 for him, seems like he never ages. I wonder what keeps him from aging like the rest of the 50 year olds (no offense). Ages like fine wine.
Well, if there is not going to be any Nintendo Switches available in the future, I'm going to riot. I want one again so bad, but now that movie theaters are being pushed back to August and maybe more, I won't be able to buy one. Unless I can find a much cheaper one for $120. I don't care, if I can't be able to get my job back, I won't be able to pay for one.
And apparently movie tickets here are costing $40 per however many is in the household + money for concession fees, that's $15 more. Amount that it would be about $80-$85 depending on the amount of people that come to see a movie family-wise. Still ridiculous if I say so myself. I get its revenue, but still. That like here in the US, that's a whole paycheck
Paying $70 worth of a game would mean that the actual base game would be $60. With DLC included, however + we have to realize that there is tax, so yeah that would amount to $70. Which if the consoles were to be sold at the standard of 299.99 for Switch, if included the $70 increase in maybe future (I think Nintendo would be smart not to up the price) it would be about $369.99 plus tax, which to me, that is freaking ridiculous! I would definitely not be spending $400 for a game console! $299.99 is still a bit farfetched too. The 199.99 cost of the Switch Lite is what I would technically be interested price-wise.
Had the doctors checked him again to remove it a second time, he'll still be around for another few years. It's always sad hearing about this. Iwata was a great president.
I'm surprised my 3DS hasn't had this problem and I've had it for a good 7 years, the red covering on it has started to peel off but that's just wear and tear, however ever since then, I have not had my 3DS drift at all, my Wii U hasn't had that problem either, and I got that in June of 2014, It's still has the black covering on it, and I haven't bothered taking it off, cause in fear of having that drift. And those two have been tucked away in my blue tote bucket with all my personal belongings from high school and such. Haven't cleaned it since last year. So far my Wii U and 3DS has not had any problems.
So I do plan on getting another Nintendo Switch in the future since mine got K.O.ed in February. Will however many Spirits there are in-game currently, close to what, 1600, be in the game when I can boot it up, cause I still have the cartridge of all five of my Switch games
What if this pandemic continues into next year? We'll never know what the future will hold as we're all not scientists. Some say it will be 18 months until we get a vaccine for this virus, even longer to actually test it to see if it actually works.
There should be a spoof of the "Blame Canada" video from South Park that should be re-released to have "Blame China" instead
If we ever get through this virus, will the old normal ever see the light of day again? I just don't want to continue washing my hands every single second of the day. Let's hope we don't ever have to go through this again. I hate staying home.
So are they trying to scrap Nintendo Directs? Iwata's legacy would disappear forever if that happened since Iwata was the face of Nintendo Directs. Please understand
Don't worry, there will be more surges of Covid cases. There's more here in Missouri and they're starting to open movie theaters, and once that happens, everything is going to be in stay-at-home order again. Covid is not going anywhere. It's still very fresh
Nintendo Life at its finest with it's weird and wacky articles. What were you guys expecting, a couch to be a Smash character? A cell phone for Smash? Literally everything for Smash? Innuendos for Smash it is if my dirty mind wanted to be that way
No mention that it was 'originally scheduled for release in June but pushed back because of certain conditions'. All articles should make note of a delay from conditions like COVID-19. Everyone trying to ignore this like it never happened.
Like...its still here, even though people are starting to lift restrictions, COVID-19 is ''still'' here. It never left, at least not yet. A second wave might happen.
99.9% of this is going to be trademark protection. That's what usually happens when this type of information is about. Really nothing surprising there. I mean, I'd still love a TTYD-remake of Paper Mario on the Switch. It would make the Switch series skyrocket to major heights on top of what it's already succeeded in doing. Heck I'd love either a compilation of all 5/6 games in Mario & Luigi series to the Switch. Just make an April Fool's joke actually happen and port every game to the Switch and watch the sales numbers go trillion-fold. I'd be an extremely happy camper. One can dream...
What in the heck is with all the racism in this country? Listen, if you want to continue this conversation, consider Twitter or email, not an article that's specifically written about something else. This is not about racism or any means like that. Just because NL posted something like that, (actually it was related to New York's store being vandalized, which actually should not have been a topic for discussion, therefore a friendly site) should not mean you should still be blatantly talking about it constantly in different topics, which has nothing to do with racism. What's up with the world now? First, COVID, now racism? Can anyone keep their own comments to themselves please? Don't say anything else if you don't have anything nice to say. That's all there is to it.
Hopefully we'll get to see this sequel in theaters again. I would've loved to see the first one in theaters but I wasn't able to because of the pandemic (I'm guessing I'm the only one bringing this up). But as things probably stand, I don't think the chain will be any better than it was before the pandemic started, which would suck.
E3 was cancelled though. I can possibly see online video presentations from publishers but otherwise why are we talking about E3 when it was cancelled because of COVID-19? And a Nintendo Direct won't be on the horizon either, which sucks. They could just shadow drop trailers like they did with the Mini Direct in March, and the Paper Mario game earlier this month
@Windy I get your point. The Wii U still had some of the great games on the system. But I agree it still had flops to it. The Switch was able to counteract those mistakes.
If the Switch is going to be getting even more games for maybe a span of 10 years maybe (highly logical), I wonder what the size of the future MicroSD Card would be? 10,000 GB? 20,000, if we keep the Switch till 2030?
They'll announce something when they're ready. Something Nintendo fanboys, like myself, would say. Just look at Metroid Prime 4, they announced it at E3 2017 with no trailer, just a "in development for Nintendo Switch". And then a restart in January 2019. Then nothing since. These people are taking these long overdue assumptions too seriously. Relax and chill. They'll announce a date when they or anybody is ready. What more do you want? Patience is a virtue.
@Windy I was speaking in terms of the years the Wii U had before Nintendo brought in the Switch. Like Wii U had a span of 7 years, like from 2012–2017 but games continued from 2012–2020. The 3DS still is going strong in terms of games though.
Welp, here's to another 6- month or even a 12-month draught...
Whatever. Gives me time to watch all E3 presentations and Directs (up till March 2020) to wait for the possibility of a 2021 Direct. If it this virus contains itself and people learn to self-isolate. Otherwise we may never get a Direct or E3 ever again if things continue the way it stands now.
Feel like someone who lives in North America should take care of things in North America while people who live in Europe should take care of releases in Europe.
Well once I woke up about 20 minutes, listening to YouTube music on YouTube and saw this, and I was like, "Did they really just drop a Paper Mario game announcement just like that?" And I saw this on various articles and I was then like "Yes, they did!" But sucks for my wallet because I have no job to pay for this now. I have to wait till August-September to work my way back to paying for things. Sucks, but what can ya do?
Another video game falls victim to Coronavirus. What next?
In other news, please don't let the new Godzilla vs. Kong movie get delayed by this thing. This movie has suffered one delay, please don't make it another!
I suspect a BOTW 2 trailer late 2020-early 2021. For Metroid Prime 4 though, idk since this game was teased to be in development at E3 2017, followed by a development restructuring in January 2019. For Metroid Prime 4's development to take this long, it's suprising. I assume because of the certain circumstances involving COVID-19, is delaying big titles until this is all over except for small titles and titles that have a release date already set. However, as any game company, there's possibility of delays usually.
Why can't Nintendo let the 3DS die now in terms of games? There hasn't been a game in the States since like March, and there's really no big titles coming, like a remake of the older Mario titles. Europe is scheduled for a game later this month apparently, and possibly followed by a North American release later. But come on, the 3DS has had it's time in the spotlight, please focus more on the Switch.
