If something else happens like this pandemic continuing to disrupt game development and it being delayed another few months, I'd be okay with it but truth is that we aren't getting any younger. If this game is in development hell for another few months to a year because of other world events beyond their control, I don't how we're going to deal with these long delays in video games now. This pandemic literally is ruining everything and I don't know who's to blame

It's already August and there's not even 6 months till the year is over

COVID is still a thing, so it may hinder development, especially if things are back to semi normal even though new variations are on the rise and cases

E3 is gone this year, so they haven't shown us even a title for the game so I believe they'll either present it as well as an official date when 'spring 2023' arrives or delay it a little further.

These past 4 years since the DLC of the first game is making me wonder if it really does take 7 years to develop/build upon a single game if they're just building upon the first game's world. It's probably already finished

I can think because you can actually pose Bowsers fingers in a certain way, like a rock n roll gesture or the middle finger (is why this is supposed to be aimed for adults)

However, he's a big boi though, standing at 12.5 inches. I measured my IPad box and it's at 9 something inches. So it seems like that he's bigger than the picture tells you.

I haven't played Pokémon GO since 2018 or 2019. Probably just didn't interest me anymore. I may eventually go back into it, since everything is back open around here. But I don't know yet.

I just want to play Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Luigi's Mansion, Smash Melee, and Super Paper Mario and Smash Bros Brawl without having to physically buy a tv (or find one) with the three prongs for the cables that come with the GameCube. I don't think they have those old tvs anymore.

@blindsquarel Gotcha. Hopefully E3 will return in 2023 in physical format and digital for those that want that. I know E3 2019 was probably the last actual conference we've got, but since The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 delayed till early 2023, what would Nintendo show at E3 2023 if it were to happen?

So why was E3 canceled this year anyway? Did they provide a full reasoning besides COVID being part of the culprit? I wish everything went back the way it was before 2020. I miss E3 being physical as I wanted to really go there!

So it's been 5 months since we had a Nintendo Direct. There's been no mention of a Direct even the slightest rumor that it's going to happen this month. I'm starting to lose hope (and faith) in Nintendo! If they don't announce one early next week or the week after, then what gives?

Can we just move past from the pandemic already.

Otherwise, E3 has been canned since this thing began in 2020. Are we going to have an E3 in 2023 or even at all in-person anymore?

Nintendo is starting to get very quiet. Are video game trailers from Nintendo the new normal now? Are Nintendo Directs obsolete now too?

@SteamEngenius I actually haven't gotten COVID so I believe the media has it all wrong along with monkeypox. I've gotten pneumonia but usually get headaches, nothing ibuprofen can get rid of quickly. Getting pneumonia actually was the first time I've actually gotten sick since I was very little, I was born in New York but moved to Missouri when I was about 2-3 years old. COVID-19 is just the flu or in older people an advanced form.

The f is going with Nintendo lately? I really bet Nintendo only cares about money, their IP, and not their fans. Why haven't they released a channel dedicated to their soundtracks?

E3 has been dead since this pandemic started. I do miss the full-fledged in-person thing but as long as Covid is going around, the no-E3 approach is going to continue as long as Covid is still here.

On another note despite this, I still hope Nintendo has a Direct this month as they have Breath of the Wild 2 scheduled for early next year so if they host a typical June Nintendo Direct with an official title and date, plus other games in the pipeline, it will still be a big month for video games

Now they need an option to disable the grey borders on each side when playing. I get that's because it was designed to only do the smaller ratio (or something) because these games didn't exist when 1080p wasn't a thing till the early to late 2000s but they could've still worked around that with the Switch hardware and whatever.

Idk, it's just the two borders on each side and the profile icon just sitting there kind of annoys me

I regret that there will be adolescents as well as teenagers (not just adults), playing this and they wouldn't give a damn about their youngsters playing. And all I can think about them going "Mommy/daddy, they said a swear word!"

Granted it's Nintendo we're talking about. They don't give a rats a**. But if I ever had children, I would be extra careful with what my kids play (not counting Jr. of course) I'm just giving my two cents here. Not saying others can follow this approach. I don't even play games with these kind of obscenities. I strictly play E and E10+ games, with a slew few Teen games like Smash.

I'm looking forward to getting a copy of Nintendo Switch Sports. Would almost feel like 2007 again

Why can't they just port like half of the 3DS's library on the Switch? I know the answer would probably be a no

At least I still have my copy of this game. All I should need is Mario Galaxy 2, Wii Remote and Nunchuck, and I feel like I'm back in 2008 again

I knew it was going to slip into 2023. Hey, at least we've got remastered Mario Kart DLC to keep us occupied until then. Granted if it again slips out of that Spring window into Summer, but that seems unlikely

So the only way you can buy this is on the eShop and not like at GameStop or anything? Sounds a bit redundant if you ask me. Just like with eShop cards in stores, you could've easily bought the same card with a 16-digit code or something like that. Not buy $50 in eShop credit alone and doing it that way. That just seems a bit much for some

Why isn't everything at lower prices nowadays?? Why's everything so costly now than it was 20 years ago? $5-7 in gas, usually $50-100 a week in groceries, and everything else is pricey.

@RubyCarbuncle You can still get it, it just won't be as severe like being hospitalized or dying from it. Vaccines don't protect you from getting sick with COVID-19. Although everyone is different. I tested negative for it twice and still feel completely fine. Some are different than others.
