Let's hope this happens to be in theaters. 2022 is way far off, so I hope Covid can die off completely before then and not delay production, or shutter this to video-on-demand, which I wish this wasn't a thing honestly. Theaters should stay regardless
@ULTIMATE-Shy-Guy1234 I actually like playing in Handheld mode, but I really would like the feel of shaking the Joy-Con with Super Mario Galaxy that was bundled in 3D All-Stars. I'm still hoping to get a Switch for Christmas and not a Switch Lite actually. It just doesn't feel that oomph in the Joy-Con, like it defeats the whole purpose of using the Joy-Con. I do understand the big factor of price though, but I really don't understand why they couldn't just reduce the price of the original Switch?
@App I would've said the exact same thing. COVID really has done a number not just for video games either, movies have either been delayed indefinitely, or pushed to Video-on-demand, which is a big blow to theaters
1. If you have dust or lint or pet hair around the shelf you set it on, either clean it before setting your Switch on it, that's the main issue. Cleaning your house from dirt/dust works wonders.
2. I have had a friend tell me he has played his Switch Lite for 6+ hours a day since buying one way before the U.S. lockdown in March, and he's had zero problems with Joy-Con drift. Mainly the Lite is supposed to be handheld-only, but still. These two simple things are better than repeatedly buying $80 worth of a replacement set, or better than a freaking lawsuit, which if it takes 3 tries for them to fix it only for them to tell you no, is pretty pointless.
I saw like 12 to 13 Nintendo Switch Lite's and not the original model at my local Walmart. Haven't seen the original model in months. Did they actually discontinue it? Or are they working on more shipments of the original model? Or did they realize their original models faulty issue and are in the process of discontinuing it
I have to wonder what could've if Nintendo waited to release the Switch during the holidays. Come to think of it, all it's other consoles were released during the holiday season. Why'd they not just wait to release then? Would there be a different outcome, or more of the same like how it is now?
I blame stay-at-home orders and the pandemic causing a lot of these delays. I was hoping for some of these released in 2021 or at least summer 2021/holiday 2020. But this pandemic has ruined everything. I hope next year is way better, cause everyone's eye is seemingly set for 2021. 2020 is the worst year.
Like rats in New York, you're probably never more than "six feet away" from a Nintendo 3DS
Never thought I see a COVID reference in the world we still live in today.
I'm still trying to get everything unlocked in Mario Kart 7 before I sell it. Haven't even touched Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Ultra Sun yet, or even Puzzle & Dragons Z + Super Mario Bros. Edition (forgot I still had that game)
Well, I gasp that I thought BOTW 2 was going to be at the end somewhat, but it was Hyrule Warriors...
2021 better not ruin the year for me. 2020 already f'ed that up (sorry, I'm just really tired of this year already, hence why it's probably going so slow)
@StevenG Per console, possibly. I mean, I think that everyone's console has experience at least some kind of defect, not just the Drift itself, could be like a button not working. Come to think of that. The R Button actually wasn't working in Breath of the Wild, so I couldn't release bombs, but it was working in Smash. Odd as that sounds, but my Switch is KOed anyway back in February, so I had no use for it now, and by the time I had it fixed I would've gotten it back 6 months later because of the shutdown, which is not worth it for me.
Nintendo really to step up their game and do SOMETHING about this faulty product. Weird that shows Nintendo actually was lazy in missing this and not actually acknowledging the error, as my previous consoles the 3DS and Wii U never has that problem. I wonder if Nintendo's employees experienced this problem with theirs, but never tells them about the problem on social media, like Twitter, like JC, or even the president of NOA.
And $5 million in damages is going a little too far, don't you think?
With the recent Bond film pushed back into 2021, I don't think theatres will stay open without any new movies coming within the next few months. Besides this December film, I've got a feeling that theatres here will close within next week, that is if the news outlets turn out to be true.
....Really? Sometimes I just don't understand you, Nintendo. You except us to really live with this defect even though fixing it really isn't fixing the problem?
Because I fully KO'ed mine before the lockdown began, now wanting to get another one before they end the limited release of the Super Mario 35th Anniversary Collection. I'm actually skeptical of waiting just a little while longer now. Should I just go ahead and buy the game instead till more Switches are made (Walmart is sold out)? But what if another lockdown hits and we are quarantined again?
@Mountain_Man So could you like still walk into/drive by a Nintendo Zone location like McDonald's and still get StreetPasses? Usually now me and the fam use drive-thru nowadays cause it's faster, but would you have to be inside for it to still work, if it still does?
I hope this means Streetpass won't end either. I mean, I wouldn't really care. I haven't touched my New 3DS XL in quite some time. I almost completely forgot I had it. Even though it still has the red covering chipping away, I don't think I want to sell mine just yet
@Zyph I do remember having this exact thing with my GameCube controller all those years ago. Of course I was so young back then I didn't even know about Nintendo repairs cause this was back in 08/09.
But my question is (if you're in the US) what is the perfect contact cleaner to use after sending the Joy-con/Switch for repair and fails? Could you find them in local stores? Asking for a friend
Why can't I perform a comment on the video? Did they recently turn them off?
Edit: I just now re-viewed the video and now the comments are turned off. Like, why Nintendo? People can't voice their thoughts on your videos?? I hate YouTube's service of comments being turned off
Scalpers are supposed to be illegal anyway, right? Because people are screwed over by buying a game at inflated prices only to find out when they open the casing, there's no game inside. Then they sue eBay or any other online website. Just my opinion.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the inflated price on just shoes. They're just shoes for crying out loud! $125 though is a bit much. I would rather buy a Switch cause it would take me a month or two to get that much money on top of what's already on my wishlist.
Holy ****! (So sorry about that) Oh my Gosh. I knew all along this was coming. A Direct is even perfect! Now I can finally rest up and save for a Nintendo Switch!
I assume this is gonna be fake. Again rumours are 99.9%
Fake news.
But if it turns out to be true. We already expected it because the false media puts it out first. Which purposely defeats the hype. Give us a damn Nintendo Direct to announce this, Nintendo, not a Mini, not a Partner Showcase, just a big Nintendo Direct
Why can't Nintendo do this stuff with Coca-Cola or Sprite or something. Lunchables are for kids, put something out that us adults like, like bottles of soda, or canned foods/frozen foods and stuff like that.
I think the circumstances surrounding the world also has something behind this delay, as literally everything has been pushed back. 2021 better not suck either! Plus 2021 better have some juicy BOTW 2 info
I really am hoping for a bigger Nintendo Direct soon, but as far as I see where they are holding these smaller Partner Showcases this year. We might never see a very big one until next year. Cause obviously nearly everything has been postponed till next year. Here's hoping 2021 we will bounce back from this and come out stronger then ever before. 2020 sucked!
I'm getting tired of waiting for them to release an update. Although, it's either delayed till 2021 or...it's delayed till 2021 like almost every game. 2021 better be the year we bounce back from this monstrosity we call a virus!
Why is everyone so excited about rumors anymore? Rumormills are always 99.98% false most of the time. What's the point? It's just like the fake IGN April Fool's video they posted like 5 years ago. Sorry I'm acting salty here, but the truth is, stop reporting on rumors. Especially if they come from user based sites and not official sites.
I actually hope that the Paper Mario series comes to Switch in some form of a collection. I would to just have all or 3 of the games come on one game card. Or possibly a new entry. I just want another one or remaster of all the games on Switch. That would be something I would definitely buy, if the 35th anniversary remaster turns out to be true.
This is just an image. Nothing to see here. I don't think a remaster will ever happen. If it does, that's great, it would ruin the surprise anyway. So **meh**
