I really need to play the Pikmin games now, but I still wish this had been a teaser for a playable baby game.

I really hope this isn't Pikmin related, I want a game where I play as the baby.

Maybe a simulator where you play as the child, slowly growing up over time?

I've never played the Mortal Kombat games before, but I'm happy for the fans!

All we need now is a 2nd collection for Mortal Kombat 5-9 and misc spinoffs.

All that's left now is a Legends collection, and maybe a spinoff collection.

I was NOT expecting them to announce this, instead of the next 3D Mario platformer.

Hopefully that is being saved for a 2026 announcement...

I still need to play the main game, happy to see we're getting DLC.

I wasn't expecting a Mario sports game to have an adventure/story mode.

I may eventually check this out in a few years, hopefully at a discount.

I'm not surprised at all sadly. I'll buy Galaxy 2 eventually, in no hurry.

I was so sure that the 2nd Mario movie would adapt Super Mario World.

As for 1st party, all I want is a new 3D Mario platformer.

Hollow Knight: Silksong release date please? So that both fans and my friends can stop asking for it.

I also want ports of Amanda the Adventurer 2, Billie Bust Up!, Indigo Park, and Kidbash: Super Legend.

I'm hyped for Monster Hunter Stories 3, Pac-Man World 2, and Hyrule Warriors 3.

Also both of the Yakuza: Kiwami games, if they get native PS5 upgrades/versions.

Nice announcement, hoping they offer PS5 upgrades for both games.

Sadly this never happened, I'd have loved to play it.

@WiltonRoots It would be nice to get updates on Kirby Air Riders, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Professor Layton and The New World of Steam though.

They're all made by third party developers, despite being first party Nintendo IP.

Hopefully they will have finally added VRR support, by the time I own a Switch 2 in a few years.

@DwaynesGames I was never expecting them to refund early adopters tbh.

Nintendo will hopefully learn from their mistake, and make this free in the future.

I look forward to finally playing these 6 games, been waiting for their Switch 2 updates.

I wasn't expecting the Switch 2 direct to happen on April 2nd, but it doesn't rule out a Summer release window for the new hybrid device.

As for it not being fully backwards compatible with all Switch 1 games, hopefully the 1% outliers are Labo or niche games no one plays.

That's great news, but I still need official confirmation that my physical Switch 1 cartridges will be compatible.

I just want it to be 1080p @ 60 fps when docked, not expecting a portable PS4 Pro.

Also it would be nice to have full backwards compatibility with all "Switch 1" games.

I will be shocked if we don't get a huge Nintendo Direct soon.

Whether or not it will reveal the Switch 2 and any games for it though, who knows.

@sanderev @samuelvictor @UltimateOtaku91 100% agreed, this has been the best Nintendo Direct since 2022 imo. The inevitable September Direct is gonna have a very hard time topping today's.

As for myself, I'm looking forward to playing these 13 games! 🙂

@Friendly Same thinking here! I don't mind being kept in the dark, dislike games that reveal too much plot in their trailers.

@TDCinFL Same plan here, but I don't see it being lower then $60 New during Black Friday 2023.

Maybe you'll find it for $50 during BF 2024-2025.

Best Buy, Amazon, and Target all sold out fast. Only Gamestop remains...think I'll just wait for Nintendo to restock the others.

@BANJO Agreed! I mean even Bayonetta 3 and Super Mario Odyssey at least look like PS4 games.

We probably won't get PS4 quality Pokemon games until the Switch's successor console though, if we're lucky.
