Sonic Adventure was kinda fun in places, but so rough in others, even when it was originally released. It would take an awful lot of work to make it good for a modern audience.

Now, if we're talking Sonic Adventure 2, just give it a lick of paint and send it out into the world. That was a fun a game.

A 0 is clearly ridiculous, but the game is a 7 tops right now. It's hard to believe Nintendo dropped the ball so badly for one of its most beloved series. Considering it's been 'done' for a couple of years, you'd think they'd have included a system for tracking P-Switches at the very least. And don't get me started on the character select screen.

I hope this isn't a sign of things to come regarding Nintendo's QA.

It doesn't feel right picking a 10 year old game, so I'm going to go with a couple of Switch 2 releases. Fast Fusion and Kunitsu-Gami get my vote. I've enjoyed a few P-Switch challenges out of the 60 or so I've found in MKW, but overall the game is a huge let down.

I still need to get around to The Hundred Line. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and import it.

I picked up Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess yesterday, so I'm looking forward to trying that out with the mouse controls. Elsewhere, some more P-Switches, F-Zero 99, Splatoon 3, Wind Waker, and Fast Fusion (the new update is fantastic).

I just picked this up for under £25. I appreciate that it's a relatively small download size too. Looking at the 'extras' there's a lot of Okami-related goodies packed in with it, such as costumes, music, and items. Oh, and the mouse controls actually seem like they could be useful. I'm really looking forward to it.

I might be in the minority, but to me it looks super fugly.

Man, I hate this company. I don't think I've bought an EA game since the GameCube era.

I caved and bought a 256GB card yesterday after constantly juggling downloads. Spent the evening organising what I did and didn't want downloaded (and moving some puzzle and 2D games over to the Switch Lite), and it turns out I've got 170GB free now, which should last me a while, so long as I stick to first-party physical or digital, and indie downloads.

Third-party publishers are going to have a hard time convincing me to purchase their AAA titles this gen if they insist on being Game-Key Cards/digital only.

Of the exclusive titles for the Switch 2, there's only one right answer for the number one spot and that is Fast Fusion. The latest update has really put it heads and tails above any other launch title.

It looks pretty bad as it is, at least visually. The GenAI usage is the final nail in the coffin in terms of completely turning me off the game.

So Capcom couldn't even be bothered to bring a Game-Key Card release outside of Japan? Unbelievable. At least the game would have had some exposure from being on display in stores.

@sleepinglion I believe the official Joy-Con charging stand is compatible with the NSO NES Controllers, as the central charging part can be removed from the stand.

Thee best controller! This has been my favourite purchase of all the Switch 2 launch items, including the Switch 2 itself.

I was so happy to be able to retire my WaveBird after over 20 years of service. It was still going strong too, but the new GC controller negates the need for the extra hardware and it has rumble, which genuinely surprised me as I wasn't expecting it.

I'm going to grab a second soon, while I still can.

Very excited for this. Such a quick turnaround for the three 'new' tracks too. I'm having more of a blast in Fast Fusion than MKW. It's an absolute steal.

The Blue Shell is so predictable in single-player mode in Mario Kart World. It always seems to show up within 20 seconds of the end of the last lap if you're in first place. I hardly see it used in the first couple of laps. It's just irritating.

I saw this earlier on Reddit. There's some funny comments on it about the fact it's Rosalina.

It's clear Nintendo is trying to push us into going all digital. The problem with that is giving us just 256GB to get started with.

I'd have bought Hitman digitally at launch, but there's no way I'm forking out for an expensive 256GB MicroSD Express card, that might be sufficient until the end of the year at a push. As it stands, I'm not going to keep archiving and redownloading overpriced and oversized third-party games. I'll just do without for now.

If all the game was on a cart (ala Cyberpunk 2077) that would obviously be a different story.

@sethfranum What's it been, like two-weeks since it was released? We're still very much in the launch window. Many people who wanted to pre-order one in Japan couldn't get one. Anyways, we'll soon see.

Four or five years after the launch of a new console? I don't see that being the case at all.

Comparing Switch 2 sales to to the failing Xbox Series (in Japan at least) and niche PS5 Pro doesn't really say a lot to be honest. Launch sales are usually impressive, as the hardcore fanbase will always be early adopters.

I'm more interested in what the sales look like in 12 months time, and how much third-support we'll see going into the Switch 2's second year.

The GameCube NSO was what twisted my arm to buy a Switch 2, and so far it's still my favourite thing about the latest console.

I picked up a GameCube when I was 20, after skipping the N64-era (I was a NES and SNES kid up until that point). On a friend's advice I also grabbed Wind Waker and Metroid Prime alongside the bundled Super Mario Sunshine (remember pack-ins?), and wow did I ever spoil gaming for myself going forward! The juxtaposition of going from the 2D consoles straight into the 3D GC titles is something I don't think I'll ever get over.

To this day, the GameCube is my favourite console.

People keep talking about bringing Metroid Prime 2 and 3 to NSO. I see one glaring issue with that; Wii NSO doesn't exist (yet), so Corruption is a no-go.
