Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo at E3 2017?

IronMan28

Although we knew about most of the games launching for Switch this year, that doesn't mean this presentation was lacking. Frankly, they showed what they need to, and convinced me of what I believed all along, that Switch is replacing 3DS and Wii U. I've been vocal about wanting Nintendo to consolidate catalogs for handheld and console, and I took the Pokemon for Switch announcement as an admission that Switch is the go-to Nintendo device. For me, that means Switch is the ultimate Nintendo machine, and I love it.

@ningeek185 If Nintendo consoles EVER get a Battlefield game, I'd be shocked, and buy them there day one. However, since I still own a console that plays Battlefield 2, I'll get the game there.

Anyway, I will probably get FIFA 18 on Switch because I like soccer games, they're second to basketball video games for me. Plus, being able to play on the go and on my TV is a good enough sell for me.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Ramping Up Switch Production For This Fiscal Year

IronMan28

I've seen Switch one time on a display case at a local Best Buy, there were about 10 of them. A few days later, I went to the same BB, and saw no Switches. For the most part, I've not seen any Switches at the major retailers near me. Then again, I don't really look hard because I own one and won't get a second one for a little while. As for hard numbers, I'm going to refrain from making any predictions because I don't know what unannounced games are coming to Switch by this time next year.

For what it's worth, most of the people I know are interested in Switch. My wife immediately thought it was cool after the initial reveal trailer, but she was disappointed that Splatoon 2 wasn't a launch title. Again, not going to make any specific predictions, but as of now, it really is the console people love to love, and it can sell fairly well.

Re: Square Enix Silent On Switch Dragon Quest XI Due To "Adult Circumstances"

"Perhaps Nintendo wishes to include Dragon Quest XI in part of its E3 presentation, and is keeping it out of sight for maximum impact."

For some reason, this is the conclusion I reached. Not that I will be right, but it would be cool to see the Switch version at E3 with a solid release date. I'd love to get DQ XI on Switch this year, localized for NA. I need that in my life.

Re: Capcom Is Bringing Monster Hunter XX to the Switch

Well, frankly I hope this is a sign of more games that have been portable for their recent entries making their way back to consoles via Switch.

@BinaryFragger It's almost like people react differently to different situations! Jokes aside, I get that people responded hastily and are eating their words, but this is still good news.

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Nintendo's E3 2017 Plans?

I'm pretty interested in seeing what they'll do this year. Hopefully it's better than E3 2013, which was just bad. Frankly, I'm not expecting that much in the way of surprises, but I'm good with seeing more of the games we know about launching in 2017 and probably a little more on some of the 2018 content.

Also @Ichiban, "I hope to see the return of some more diverse titles like Waverace, Pilotwings, Eternal Darkness etc. It would be great to see them return & balance out the Switch library a bit."

Keep hoping, it ain't happening. Those franchises aren't very profitable. I'd love a new Wave Race, but we all know it's not happening anytime soon if at all.
