I don't think anyone in their right mind assumed SMT 5 would come out sooner than 2019. Regardless, I want to get it since 4 was pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good!
@PhilKenSebben Dtoid is honestly one of my go to places for news, though. Community interaction reminds me of 1-Up, and I mean that in the best possible way.
My wife and I have been playing copious amounts of Splatoon 2 since we hooked up her Switch and put her account on it. It's been glorious and the NA splatfest will be equally awesome.
Also, not a big slosher or sloshing machine guy. Dualies and aerospray are my go-to weapons.
I was going to ignore this, but $9.99 makes it tempting since I never beat this game. If you haven't played it, you should, what I played of this game on Wii U was phenomenal.
I can't be the only person who hopes Runner 2 is ported to Switch before 3 comes out. I never beat the second one and I've retired my Wii U. Very unlikely 2 gets a Switch port before 3 comes out, but it would be okay in my book.
Waiting on Fe reviews before I bite, it looks good and I like Zoink but Fe seems very different from Stick it to the Man. Also, that Old Man game looks fun, might get that one. Bayonetta/2 is tempting, but I'm holding off on those.
People on the Internet are insufferable during a console's first 18 months or so. Call me in 2019, if you're still complaining then, just sell your Switch.
Switch still selling well in Japan, and MH moves PS4 consoles, which I'm sure nobody saw coming from a mile away. It'll be interesting to see if Capcom makes a portable version of World for Switch (like they did for 3 or "tri") or just create an original entry. If Nintendo has anything to say about the matter, there will be another MH for Switch at some point. Of course, whenever Pokemon releases for Switch, the console will really take off.
I have zero nostalgia for Crash or Spyro since I only had a PS1 for about 2 years, and that was to play FFVII, which I never beat. My neighbors had a PS for a while and I would watch them play Crash amd Spyro, which seemed okay at best. Since I've never been much of a PS guy, this doesn't seem that interesting to me, but I guess for some people the idea of Spyro and Crash on Switch seems cool.
@dougphisig the English accents in XC are awesome and XC2 looks great as well, so I can't blame you for keeping the English vo's on. Maybe I'll just play it when the TV isn't in use.
@datamonkey2 Rabbids looks good, but I'm honestly leaning toward XC2 atm. I like the idea of something different, but I also love the XC games.
@Anti-Matter I figured the word "cute" would be included in your description after @Kimyonaakuma replied to my comment. Lol, the screenshots are pretty cool.
@Paraka I've heard good things, I want something more than just Splatoon 2 that's good for me to play with my family, so this or that Minecraft-like Ark game might be good for us.
@dougphisig That sounds good, I'll take that into consideration. Is XC2 in handheld mode as bad as digital foundry makes it seem? I ask because my house has 2 Switch consoles and the TV isn't always an option for me.
I haven't played this game in years. This and TWEWY are double dips for me, without question. What's crazy is now De Blob and TWEWY will be on the same Nintendo device a decade after both games initially released. How times have changed, and I love it.
@Dev I must agree with you there. But, now that you mention it, I believe Kimishima (or some other important Nintendo figure) said he thinks (hopes) families will own multiple Switch consoles.
You know how I know Kimishima isn't in marketing? He said he wants to sell to everyone and may have literally meant "everyone." No marketer in their right mind would say such a thing, except in jest. Switch will still sell well, though.
@bratzdoll True, even though Nintendo has announced Pokemon for Switch, NL made the assertion that we still need 3DS. It's just irritating for them not to acknowledge Switch is replacing Wii U AND 3DS.
@Fandabidozi I agree, some people here would go insane if that happened. To be honest, I'm surprised it didn't get a 10/10 since it got a 10 on Destructoid. While NL and Dtoid obviously are two different organizations, there tends to be a similar level of appreciation for games like this between each outlet. Either way, it really does look like a hoot.
As soon as Nintendo revealed the Switch, it was obvious that the system would have multiple iterations. Nintendo supporting the system for longer than most of its consoles is an extension of that thought. Nothing too surprising about this news, but it's good to see Nintendo acknowledge that Switch is portable and that Nintendo handhelds last longer than their consoles, although the admission seems passive, it's still reassuring.
Also, can we all just collectively admit that Switch is replacing the 3DS? Seems like NL dancing around that issue.
@westman98 Ridge Racer. That was more or less a joke. I say that because Singapore has a few people who worked on SW 1313 before it got canned. Ridge Racer seems like a pretty big leap from Star Wars.
These amiibo don't do much for me. Then again, most amiibo don't do much for me. I'm still glad Nintendo will support this game for a while. The last splatfest between Pearl and Marina will be interesting. Only question is, who will I choose?
@westman98 My Nintendo News seems to think it's Ridge Racer that Singapore is working on, which seems weird to me. Unless it's somehow open world with shooting, I'm not convinced it'll be good. But stranger things have worked out well, like chicken, egg and orange fig spread on a breakfast sandwich.
@CapricornDavid Only one game you mentioned was mediocre, and that was because they put on-foot segments in there. The flying segments were on point. Pokken Tournament is a good game, and Smash 4 is awesome.
@rjejr I would like to point out that a Nintendo fan site spinning something to favor Nintendo is expected. Assuming they wouldn't do that would be like expecting Fox News to run a negative piece about a Republican politician. In any case, Switch is doing well, and I'm sure Nvidia is okay with that. Also, I prefer investing in companies that provide software to AI companies, like Hortonworks or Mulesoft.
This game looks interesting, but I never finished the first one. Not sure if I'll buy this right away, a Switch port of the first may entice me since my Wii U is retired now.
@rjejr Even with using older Nvidia chips, the Switch will be around for a while. The market still thinks short to medium term, long term is too unpredictable for anyone with any idea about how economics works. Regardless, I said it contributes, not how much. Speculating on how much is a fool's errand if you're the average consumer like us.

Re: Review: Fe (Switch eShop)
@PhilKenSebben You joke, but they can be hit or miss with their reviews. Even since Jim Sterling left a while ago, they're still somewhat amateur-ish.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Splatoon 2, NA is having a Splatfest.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Already Thinking About Bayonetta 4
@AlphaElite I don't know where you got that from my post, but that was also ridiculous. People complained for years. Kind of not getting your point...
Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Already Thinking About Bayonetta 4
@Octane I don't complain about MH, but the port begging is insufferable.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Already Thinking About Bayonetta 4
@Thisismycomment I love it, too. The salt is real with PS/Xbox fanboys.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Already Thinking About Bayonetta 4
I really need to resist the urge to triple dip on Bayo 1 and double dip on Bayo 2.
Re: Looks Like The Studio That Ported LA Noire Is Working On Dark Souls Remastered
I missed Dark Souls the first go around, won't let that happen with the Switch edition.

Re: Review: Fe (Switch eShop)
@justin233 I'm in the same boat, this looks more like a game I'd pay $9.99 for.
Re: Video: Get To Know Nintendo Labo Even Better With These In-Depth Trailers
@JimmySpades I've had my fun. You and @clvr gave me a good laugh in the meantime.
Re: Review: Fe (Switch eShop)
Brett from Destructoid didn't care too much for this, I'll have to read other reviews to get a good idea about the quality of Fe.
Re: Review: Layers Of Fear: Legacy (Switch eShop)
Lackluster gameplay usually doesn't sit well with me, maybe Outlast will be good on Switch.

Re: Lots Of Developers At Square Enix Want To Make Games For Switch, Says President And CEO
Squeenix makes some good games, hopefully we see a new Bravely game (and more) from them. I also hope to see DQXI released in the West this year.
Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch
@ZeldaToThePast I think to choose, I'll flip a coin like I did with Stardew Valley and Golf Story.
Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch
Still need to buy Mario + Rabbids. I'm honestly not sure if I should get Mario
+Rabbids or XC2 first.

Re: Nvidia Shares Swell As Nintendo Switch Continues To Sell Like Hot Cakes
@rjejr I don't take any gaming outlet too seriously since what they do isn't journalism. Then again, one could argue true journalism is dead.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend?
Golf Story, ARMS, and Splatoon 2 for me this weekend.
Re: Sounds Like Bandai Namco Really Is Working on Metroid Prime 4
@CapricornDavid Only one game you mentioned was mediocre, and that was because they put on-foot segments in there. The flying segments were on point. Pokken Tournament is a good game, and Smash 4 is awesome.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Version 1.3.0 Will Go Live Next Week
I will be buying this game soon. I really can't wait to play it since the XC and XCX were excellent.
Re: Soapbox: What Happened To All The Great Baseball Games On Nintendo Consoles?
@Shiryu That would be a pretty cool article! I say that because hockey video games are like NBA video games, more fun than the real thing.
Re: Soapbox: What Happened To All The Great Baseball Games On Nintendo Consoles?
Baseball is a great sport, but baseball sim video games have often struck out. Mario baseball on GCN was fun, though.
