Splatoon 2 (that's a mainstay), Mario Tennis Aces (I understand how to play now and love it so far), and got my code for the retro Bloodstained game so I'll play through that one. XC2 is on the list if I can manage to play it while supporting my wife's business. Switch has no shortage of games, imo.

I'll probably end up getting Let's Go Evee, but the mainline entry in 2019 is the one I really want. Still, the graphics in Let's Go actually looked pretty good to me!

Looks good, but I'm still waiting for a sale. It's very promising that people are finding success on the Switch.

The reviewer at Destructoid loved this game. Honestly, I think I will too. Also, buy Slime-san, it's pretty good! Pretty, pretty, pretty good! It also doesn't get as much love as I believe it should.

@pika677 true, but like everyone, they'll come around eventually. Probably when Pokemon hits Switch and they're basically forced to acknowledge that 3DS is done and Switch is replacing it.

@Luffymcduck well, that I'm not sure about. It probably will be more stable. If it's noticeable, that's a different question. Xbox Live goes out for me more than you'd think (once every few months or so) and my internet service is generally good. Frankly, I think the free retro games (not going to assume either way on consoles) should be worth the asking price of $4 and some change per year when splitting the cost with other people.

I'm splitting the family option with 7 other people. The cost per year is insanely low if you're able to split them with other people.

If you read the PR on the Switch, it notes that 3DS and Wii U online play aren't part of the new service. Now, I understand it's called Switch Online, but it's interesting Nintendo lumps 3DS in with Wii U.

It would be nice if we didn't have to buy the same games all over again and they just let people migrate VC games from the Wii to the Wii U (and 3DS) to their Switch with all of the bells and whistles. If Nintendo did that, people would be more receptive to the service when they flesh out the lineup. Still, if they add more consoles in the future (I assume they will) that is when the service will really hit its stride.

I doubt they stop with NES games on Switch. People assumed Smash 4 Wii U would have fewer modes and options than the 3DS version and we know how that turned out. It seems like the internet is making a mountain out of a mole hill, as always.

Ah, so this is a fighting game. May pick this up since my wife loves Naruto.

@pika677 I don't understand why. Having a single Nintendo system, with every Nintendo franchise appearing on it, should appeal to fanboys the most!

Bad Labo sales might reinforce the idea that more games like Mario and Zelda will sell well on Switch. Frankly, that's fime.by me. Bring on the awesome entries in franchises like FE (which I hope we can at least get a trailer of at E3) to Switch.

@RevengeFan it was always timed exclusive, Choice Provisions just didn't mention other platforms when they announced Runner 3.

I've learned that since Switch is getting Wii U ports, "everyone" had a Wii U. When it was new, it seemed like it was "nobody has a Wii U." No shock that all of a sudden Wii U was relevant now that there is a new system to troll.

Already preordered this game, love the cameos and will play as the legendary Charles Martinet.

@Paraka I guess you're right. People seem to expect an never ending stream of new, high quality "AAA" games. It's insane. During that time, it seemed like forever between excellent games, especially on N64.

@Paraka I'd argue that N64 had considerably worse droughts than Switch. At least Switch has content releasing for it weekly. Consoles during the N64/PS generation did not have that. Yes, it's due to distribution, but the fact remains true.

@Crono1973 Yes, it really will if history is to be believed. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl came west in 2007, the last GBA game was in 2008. X and Y came out in 2013, the last DS game came out in 2014. So you have about 18 months or so after a mainline Pokemon game where Nintendo handhelds essentially flat line. To say "one game will change everything" isn't hyperbole. Pokemon signals a change in generations, and I doubt that will change now.

Once Pokemon drops, the last part of his quote will make more sense. He said they could coexist now, which is true. Wait until Pokemon hits Switch, then the story will change.

I felt compelled to download this game. Doubt I will end up regretting it since I love the runner games.

@Luffymcduck that's my issue, too. They could have added more levels and somewhat justified the price increase because it's now in HD and portable.

Well, I'll get it if they make a Switch version. And play real Pokemon on Switch, as well.

It's ironic this version is the one that has better reviews, in spite of the higher peice tag than when it came out in 2014. I will wait for it to go on sale, which happened to the Wii U version frequently. Then again, with MK8 selling better on Switch than Wii U, I may end up waiting for a long time, lol.

@Ooyah maybe it's a Freudian slip. They think of Switch as the 3DS' replacement and rarely want to openly acknowledge that. Or it's just that the Switch is a handheld and a console, so calling it either one of those is still accurate.

I bought some with my reitrement funds but ended up selling them when I changed jobs. I knew they would perfom well, and I doubled my investment. Wish some of my other stocks had performed as well, tbh. Only one that touched it were AI software companies, which all performed solidly.

We won't hear about AC Switch at E3, but there will be a Direct after that when they announce a new one. My uncle at Nintendo told me so.

Anyone else notice how 3DS isn't a focus for their E3 plans? I think that speaks volumes for their actual 3DS plans, and not Kimishima's statement on the device.

Since it's almost May, then we will hear more details fairly soon. That's good since it means it likely won't take up any of the E3 conference.

While I would like to see 3DS go, it won't because a Nintendo handheld lasting 8-10 years has already happened. It just feels longer with 3DS because any posited the system would die quickly. That and they abandoned DS support a year later. However, Nintendo's software lineup and sales predictions for 3DS should tell you more than anything else a Nintendo exec tells you...

Those are excellent numbers for Mario and MK8 DX. It'll be interesting to see if Nintendo puts out an original Mario Kart on Switch anytime soon.

Don't worry, sales will fall off a cliff soon! Switch will only match GCN's lifetime numbers! Lol

Jokes aside, Switch is killing it. If Pokemon makes it out in 2018, sales will be off the charts.

@electrolite77 almost 18 million units in its first year for Switch? Impressive, and unlike 3DS in its first year, its sales weren't due to a price cut.

This game actually looks decent. People need to start looking at things for what they are, not for what they think something should be.

I would get it again on Switch, but a sequel would be pretty good. That and a new TMS#FE, the first was really good.

Played some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (still pretty early in), Prey, Panzer Dragoon Orta, and Splatoon 2. May get more into XC2 tomorrow.

If Switch ends up getting Panzer Dragoon, I will buy it in a heartbeat. Until then, I'll play Orta on my Xbox One. Virtua Fighter would be great, too.

We only know that a mainline Pokemon game is coming to Switch. Everything else is speculation at this point.

@rjejr It's possible Sega does what they did with Xbox 360 they'll do with Switch, but I would love it if the ports were AGES instead. I say that because they could use a new coat of paint. Then again, a lot of things in life that should happen don't, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
