Expectations none.
Wants: dates for Zelda BOTW2, Bayonetta 3, AVGN 1+2, Streets of Rage 4, and 198X.
New 3D Mario. New F-Zero. Midway Arcade Classics. Rogue Squadron Trilogy, Dragon Age Trilogy, Fallout modern Trilogy. Soul Calibur Collection.
Again, I doubt any of this, but I can dream.
@KIRO Gunbird, Aerofighters, and Samurai Aces are my top recommendations for top down on Switch. The SNK collection also has Bermuda Triangle which I think is awesome fun.
Looking forward to Streets of Rage 4, Bayonetta 3, Breath of the Wild 2, Angry Video Game Nerd 1+2, and 198X. I'd love to see a Midway arcade games collection, Illusion of Gaia collection, Soul Calibur collection, Dragon Age collection, and Fallout collection announced for Switch. Won't hold my breath though.
Got a Genesis mini for Xmas and played through most of the games this weekend. Had just boxed it back up, but could be time to take it out and add the rest of the first party Sega games. Streets of Rage 1, 3, Golden Axe 2, 3, Alien Storm, Sonic 3, Knuckles, Super Hangon, Revenge of Shinobi, Super Thunderblade, and Afterburner II would really help complete the collection. Probably throw on MUSHA and Truxton too. Too bad about TMNT.
@dimi I've read that Hugh Jackman did the same thing for Wolverine shirtless scenes. Apparently he has almost passed out while being flexy and actiony from dehydration. I personally don't think actors should do this to themselves, but many have gone on unhealthy missions to lose or put on weight for certain roles or days of the week and the dehydration method is becoming more common for male actors.
I've been keeping up with the free games since I bought Coffee Crisis for a buck about a month ago and free is impossible to resist. I've been trying them out here and there. I've also deleted most since I've only got 10 free gigs left on my 128gb SD card so space is a premium right now. I enjoyed One Strike more than I should. Good chiptune music, nice art style, and an addictive premise. Haven't tried out the last 3 games, but I will soon. Also tempted to buy their Duck Game. I do hope more companies try their approach in the future. Great way to get your name out there if you're a smaller publisher. (I'm in the US btw, yes we will take anything for free or severe discount even if we don't need it. Around here, you can take your broken furniture to the dump or put it on your front lawn with a sign that says "free to good home" and it'll be gone before noon.)
Just got Johnny Turbo's Heavy Barrel on sale so, need to give that a playthrough. Just got back into Civ VI as well. Getting a Genesis Mini for Xmas so that's my post Xmas plan.
They should release this in a collection with Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia like they did the Mana games. Illusion of Gaia is my personal favorite game so I'd snap that up day one.
@Moroboshi876 youtube has all the episodes of G4's Game Makers and Icons which are 20-40 min documentaries on game companies, games series, or industry legends. I also highly recommend The Video Game Years which is a lot like VH1's I love the blank series where retro game youtubers go through almost everything that released that year 1977-1989. There's also Once Upon Atari which has seemingly been removed from youtube, early 2000's doc about the Atari 2600 division at Atari with interviews with many of the workers.
I enjoyed everything Star Wars until Last Jedi. I think he messed up, not me. Hyperspace ramming being a thing breaks every space battle that ever happened before and I assume because Holdo also thought it wasn't a thing is why she told literally noone.
The director later saying that Leia had zero force training did not make space force floating any more believable.
Luke spends years trying to see the good in his father and it pays off. Senses one fleck of darkside off his nephew and its lightsaber time.
Rey still has no explanation for skills other than the plot demanded it and writing is hard.
Poe's space phone call was cringe and that did not work for Han, why is the First Order so dumb if they somehow toppled the New Republic off-screen?
What the heck was that space bombing run scene? Did they forget that Y-Wings go faster and hit harder?
Why is space gas suddenly a thing?
Why couldn't the First Order hyperspace in front of the Resistance? They could've thrown in a line of dialogue about how that couldn't work because reasons, but again, too hard to write a script.
I don't care that animals are also slaves. I really don't care.
Why do both Phasma and Snoke have to go out like Boba Fett?
Ew green milk.
I can't think of a single enjoyable moment of Last Jedi. I avoided Solo because of it. I'll probably avoid this next one and just wait for it to be free on Disney+, like the Mandalorian which has been good so far.
@Kriven since you asked, I owned:
Super Mario World, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario RPG, F-Zero, Super Punchout, Kirby Superstar, Earthbound, Donkey Kong Country 1, 2, and 3, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II, Rise of the Robots, Wolverine Adamantium Rage, Spiderman, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, TMNTIV Turtles in Time, Gradius III, Carrier Aces, Revolution X, Tin Star, Judge Dredd, Pool, Super Baseball Simulator 1,000, NBA Jam, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, EVO Search for Eden, Sim City, Incredible Crash Dummies, Space Invaders, Atari's Greatest Hits, Strike Gunner STG, Zombies ate my Neighbors, Megaman X, Megaman X2, andMickey's Magical Quest. I also borrowed or played most of the other big/common SNES games at friends houses.
That's a huge collection for any but the most rabid fan. I'd guess I had about 40 games for Super Nintendo altogether. Most games for any console I owned until Switch. Over 100 on there. Hundreds if you count the classic game collections on it.
Playing Let's Go Pikachu, have 4 badges so far, if I binge it this weekend, may beat it. Also plan to check out Link in Mario Maker 2 maps and I downloaded Metal Slug 4 and In the Hunt arcade for Switch, so there's another hour of gaming. Going to be a good weekend.
I'm amazed how many games I've played and disliked in the top 50 and even the top 10. This is why its so hard for me to buy games based off reviews, I'm always "that" guy that didn't click with a game and despite playing 10 hours of it, is bored out of his mind. Games from this list I actually enjoyed: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Ocarina of Time, Starcraft II, Skyward Sword, Rock Band 3, Super Smash Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Bayonetta 2. On a side note I LOVE Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas. I was bored by Oblivion and Skyrim after giving each 10 hours of play. I recently shut Outer Worlds off after 5 hours of boredom. (Glad it was free on Xbox Game Pass)
Oh c'mon, that's a criminally low rank for Kirby Super Star. I mean, Super Ghouls and Ghosts placed higher? Really?....
All quibbling aside, the SNES is loaded with good games and the service will only get better in the future.
Happy to have Super Punchout, Kirby Superstar, Star Fox 2, and Journey to Silius. Breath of Fire and Crysalis aren't my cup of tea, but I'm sure many others will enjoy them. Hope to get the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario All-Stars, Earthbound, and Star Tropics II over 2020. I'd be especially happy if they could get Illusion of Gaia too. (Or SquareEnix could release that themselves and I'd buy it!) Ultimate dream games would be TMNT I, II, III, and IV, but that ain't gonna happen.
Konami Arcade for $10, Mortal Kombat 11 for $25, Genesis Mini for $45, Xbox One X with Star Wars Fallen Order, and month of EA Access, Game Pass, and Gold for $350.
Done with Shield post-game story content and caught 325 pokemon. Just not in the mood to raid or wander aimlessly or look up how to make pokemon babies. Got an Xbox One X for black friday that came with game pass and ea access pass, and gold so have to make the most of that 30 days of access to all the things. Played through all of Afterparty last night, pretty funny.
Over 25 hours into Pokemon Shield and finished up the postgame story content. Now its time to fill out that pokedex this weekend. Up to 119 when I had to go to sleep last night.
@NIN10DOXD got banned for going on too many off-topic and confrontational rants I heard. Which is too bad since unlike the negative people of today he had well thought out comments most of the time. He just didn't play well with others.
@Friendly on a Nintendo fan site I thought we all were 😂 I really hope things calm down around here though. I remember when the only negative person on this site was Sligeach Eire.
With all the hate I read about for this game I keep waiting for it to suddenly be awful. Just got the 6th badge after over 20 hours of play. It's still fun so far.
Climate change is real. It is currently causing mild winters and droughts in North Dakota (where I live). Not enough snow during our used to be harsh winter=bad harvests from our farms.(yes, having more pleasant weather is actually a bad thing for my people.)In the past few years Texas gets hit by floods, California and Canada are on far more fire than usual, and the Eastern part of the country is repeatedly hit by winter storms they're not used to. Eventually the too low parts of the Netherlands, Louisiana, Florida, and New York are going to be claimed by the rising sea levels and there'll be a few million displaced people. Also Venice is finally sinking beyond their ability to counterflood, but that was probably going to happen at a later date without climate change.
Shield, because I like Shields more, the legendary seems more legit than one you can deprive of his sword, cotton candy ponytas, and my offense oriented friend is gettint Sword.
@tekknik I'm definitely going to pick up an Xbox One X on black friday. My launch year Xbox One is making dying sounds and I need one to play Halo MCC, Fallout 4, and Dragon Age Inquisition. (No modern gaming PC or PS4 in my household)
People are so upset that the Sword and Shield region refuses to let any pokemon trainer import their invasive species to their island that may or may not have pokemon rabies. I think the game sounds pretty realistic for the island it's emulating.
Still replaying Breath of the Wild, but will also find time to play some games I bought on sale: Night in the Woods, Coffee Crisis, and Preventative Strike. Also got the demo for Friends of Ringo Ikashawa (I'm sure that's wrong, but don't have Switch on right now). Also have some Pokemon Go to do. Wife acquired an EX Raid pass and I'm her +1.
I only use NSO for the NES and SNES games. I think it's a decent price, but I miss having an update schedule to look forward to new games. Please add some more soon!
@nessisonett my theory is though there are more casual gamers on phones nowadays, there's also more gamers in general. If you're a kid and you're not into Fortnite, Call of Duty, or (insert other franchise here), you're considered an outcast weirdo. Power to the players. (They mean everyone.)
In for another playthrough of Breath of the Wild. (Could be my tenth, I've lost track) Some Pokemon Go outside, and perhaps I'll play some NES Castlevania to pass the time when family's over.

King of Cards, Showdown, and Mortal Kombat 11 this weekend. Maybe some NES or Super Nintendo app if I have the spare time.

@Panopticon yeah about an hour later I started thinking that's what you meant. I agree with you now after watching more vids on it 😅

@Panopticon more like Megaman, Mario, and Ninja Gaiden.

Picked up Konami Arcade collection. 8 games that are 8 dollars each separately for only 10 altogether? No brainer.
