Played my first NES in 1990 and played till it broke in 2001. Once a year I go through the NES games now. Nintendo Switch Online with NES controller. NES mini with added games for the rest.
I spent several hours trying to get the heartpiece from this section. (Yes, really!!) After the 3rd hour I gave up and decided to finish the game missing one heart piece.
My headcanon has always been Hyrule Warriors end result of their multiverse explosion is the unified timeline that leads to Breath of the Wild having clear references to all 3 timelines. No problem for me.
Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. would be a great MA game added on there. 3D Fighter where you can chainsaw off opponents limbs and let pixelated blood spurt everywhere for the rest of the fight.
My 2022 was Pokemon Arceus, Pokemon Scarlet, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Finding Paradise, Switch Sports, Pac Man Collection, Atari 50, Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, TMNT Shredder's Revenge, and Cowabunga Collection.
2023 is Zelda....I hope they announce some more stuff that interests me. More NSO games would be nice.
I was unsure when they replaced the voice actress. Now that I know the original was disrespected and horribly underpaid for this multi-million dollar franchise, I cannot stomach the purchase anymore. Preorder cancelled.
When an enemy ship appeared the captain told his cabin boy: Bring me my red trousers so the men don't see me bleed.
When the entire enemy fleet appeared the captain told his cabin boy: Bring me my brown trousers...
I'm fine to pay an annual subscription for old games on my Switch, but I dread when they shut it down or remove games from the service only to drip feed it onto the Switch 2 all over again or even not at all if deals with 3rd parties can't be renewed. I don't mind buying compilations from Konami, Capcom, and Namco either, as long as I don't lose access to the games arbitrarily one day I'll be happy. I also still have my 3DS and WiiU tucked away with a few select virtual console titles that still haven't made it over to Switch.
I was 13 and my brother was 15 when the gamecube came out. The purple one looked like a kid's toy. We got a black one with an extra orange controller with Rogue Squadron II and Tony Hawk 3 as our launch games. We didn't need the kiddie Luigi's Mansion. (We were die hard Nintendo fans, but were worried we were aging out of it. Still hasn't happened.)
@Dean_rodwell portable batteries and regular USB cords try to dump more power into the Switch than the Nintendo brand dock or USB cords. Just hook it up and push power and it should start up. I let it sit there for an hour, then moved it to dock to charge overnight. Worked for me at least, no guarantees.
Don't care for animal crossing, but my need for portable N64 and a few Genesis games that weren't on the Switch collection will cause me to upgrade. Worth it to me. Got the Genesis controller ordered, but I was late to the N64 controller party and now I'll need to paranoidally be on the lookout for the restock.
40 something percent. I've played through the game multiple times (at least twice a year since launch) and on those playthroughs I get all shrines, enough koroks to max inventory, most armors to max upgrade and all quests done including master sword trials and champion's ballad.
I will definitely trade money for this. Loved playing all 3 of them in arcades when I could and only ever got Cruisn USA for N64 which I still play every few months. Great games!
@GrailUK which is the oddest choice since it was Enix that bought Square. I assumed for years it was the other way around since they only ever rerelease Square content.
Just put together the trilogy like they did for Mana and people will buy it. Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma on Switch would be glorious.
Gee it'd be nice to get Strike Gunner STG, Jackal, Earthbound Beginnings, Earthbound, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Secret of Evermore, Actraiser, Actraiser II, Soul Blazer, Sim City, Wings 2, Carrier Aces, Zoda's Revenge Star Tropics II, Super Mario RPG, EVO Search for Eden, Air Fortress, or even Gameboy or 64 games, but I understand I should just be happy they secured the rights for these for mere pennies. Good move.
I have a slew of Arcade, Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis, and NEOGEO games on my Switch. Absolutely love revisiting them whenever and wherever I please. Looking forward to the new Capcom collection and anything else they send our way.
Well there won't be too much difference between my SNES version and this...sees screenshots where the crap was all this on Super Nintendo?! Well, guess I'm getting this on Switch.
@RazumikhinPG because this website would be called Segalife if Sega hadn't dropped out of the console wars. Most of the site contributors never picked up a Nintendo controller until the Dreamcast flamed out.
My top 64 games in no order: Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Gauntlet Legends, Cruisn USA, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Jet Force Gemini, Mario Party, Ocarina of Time, Harvest Moon 64, Waverace 64, NFL Blitz, and Starfox 64.
@msvt NES and SNES games. I have an NES and SNES mini, but I love having these games on the go. Makes downtime/lunch at work a relaxing time, as well as great for vacations.
I would like to see this, need to renew cbs for a month when it's all out. Also, I had no idea so many people hated Seth Rogen for being alive. He seems like a nice guy to me.
Bring us Zoda's Revenge StarTropics II, Baseball Simulator 1,000, Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3, Earthbound, Super Mario RPG, Illusion of Gaia, as well as 64, Gameboy, or GBA games please.
I'd enjoy Super Hang On, Afterburner II, Golden Axe Death Adder, Nights Into Dreams, Dynamite Cop, Crazy Taxi, House of the Dead trilogy, and some others that slip my mind. So many more to go.
As a child (born '87), every year felt like a great year for Nintendo until the WiiU era. Best year for me is 2017. The year Nintendo reminded me and many others what Nintendo quality and innovation means.
I like Lego and enjoyed quite a few things they put out. (The Lego Star Wars and City advent calenders I particularly enjoyed) but I just can't spend the money for this one, but that's okay. I'm sure it will be a limited run and everyone will be sold to a good home. (Probably a few hundred to ebay, but such is life.) I can play my NES classic and watch the youtube trailer for this set and be just as happy, then spend an equal amount of money on videogames.
Yes, the plans were available for anyone to see. I had to go to the Planning Office's basement with a torch because they had no lights and I saw that the staircase had been removed.
My dad picked this up used at Target in 2000 for less than $20. Fun game, had read about it in Nintendo Power. Got it on WiiU then sold it for $80 in 2013 to a used game store. The clerk was incredulous that I wanted to sell it to his store when I could set up an ebay account and a paypal and make $120 in a week. I wanted novelty gaming candy, energy drinks, and Magic the Gathering cards that day though. Lol. Have it on SNES classic now so, I even have the full experience of the SNES controller again.
