Breaking news: Green clouds have been spotted in Super Mario Bros pretending to be bushes. Video at 11. My opinion: Isn't pokemon a fun RPG collectathon? Gameplay over graphics. If Gamefreak says they're having to make new models I'll believe them. Sakurai said the same about SSBU and half the fans refused to believe him because they don't trust anyone trying to talk up their interactive work of art they wish to sell.
On my 2nd playthrough of Blazing Chrome. Best thing I can compare it to is Bloodstained Curse of the Moon. It really feels like a lost Contra game from the 16 bit gen (like Bloodstained CotM feels like a lost 8 bit Castlevania game). Both are some of the best Contras and Castlevanias I've ever played. Almost unlocked everything in the ammonomicon in Enter the Gungeon, had spent the last week killing the past of everyone in their alt costumes to get their alt starting weapons. Probably load up some more Super Mario Maker 2 maps. Found a couple dozen really good ones so far I've downloaded so I never lose access to them. (And bookmarked their creators in case they make some more awesome.)
Paid for a year day one and got another free year via Prime. I use it mostly for the NES games and if this is the only way I can play these legally on my Switch I'll do so. Occasionally go online for a game here and there, but I'm a mostly solitary/retro player. I'd love to see SNES games and a modern indie or 3rd party game a month as well as better discounts to improve the service.
2.5 million seems low to me. Everyone needs at least 1 copy of this masterpiece. I bought the Treasure Trove on Switch and have played through each campaign roughly 8 times. Really channels Megaman and 2D platformers in general. Eagerly awaiting King of Cards.
Have Marvel UA3, Fire Emblem, Daemon ex Machina, Luigi's Mansion 3, and Pokemon preordered for Switch. Have Wolfenstein preordered for Xbox One. Buying Mana digitally as soon as there's any kind of discount.
I can only hope they add SNES games by September. They are running out of marketable NES games. Star Tropics II, Jackal and Bubble Bobble are about the only common good ones we're missing not locked behind a movie/comic license (Looking at you Turtles trilogy)
Before Goldeneye, I didn't play our 64 much, other than for racing games. Star Wars Rogue Squadron II Rogue Leader was the reason I wanted a gamecube. (Little did I know Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, my brother's reason for the cube would also be awesome.) I could argue that T2 the Arcade game is a fun on rails shooter, but I suppose that and Revolution X are hated by gamers for not being as graphically impressive as their arcade machines. Still fun to me.
@thesilverbrick it's because of the year long quarantine all pokemon must go through. There hasn't been a single case of pokemon rabies on the island and they'd like to keep it that way.
@Anti-Guy bigger=better. Not that hard of a concept to grasp. We Americans always turn that expression up to 11 though. Atari 5200, Xbox and Xbox One or the NA NES and SNES designs are great examples.
Capcom Beatemupbundle, Ultra Street Fighter II, Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, Shock Troopers, Metal Slug trilogy, Baseball Simulator 1,000, NES Online, and Sonic Mania. Just in a retro mood.
@nessisonett is it as bad as most games that directly correlate your game's level to how good of a murderer you are? You could say, my character is a hero, someone needed me to kill that massive population of animal and/or sentient goblin tribe outside town. How many NPCs have you murdered that had no intention of attacking you and didn't automatically con onto you? What about Link, paragon of the moral high ground being forced to crossdress just to complete a game and get into a townful of sexists? The same Link who uses his false identity to leave a poor otaku outside that city with no footwear in the middle of a burning desert? That Link is also judged as not the hero by many NPCs due to his height, despite his deeds and ownership of the master sword. In the Fallout games determine your success and dialogue options via charisma, speech, business or sexy clothing allowing you to use your sex appeal to "win" dozens of situations throughout the games. Are any of these examples horrible and wrong? No. They are just as bad as your character needing big boobs to succeed because all of them are fantasy. Some are a simulation of some parts of reality, but due to being videogames they are not wrong. Art is not wrong. It just exists as a reflection of society. What's acceptable and unacceptable to you is a personal choice, don't hope to force it on others. Do not praise those that would keep you from playing certain games, watching certain movies, or reading certain books because someone determined it might cause you to think or feel a way your government doesn't want you to. Don't allow yourself to become part of the Nazi, Soviet, Communist fearing Conservatives that have tried to contain the human mind to their ideal. When it comes to art: Either all of its okay or none of it is. You don't want to live in that society of severe censorship.
@patbacknitro18 unfortunately they're running out of good and playable NES games. I'm sure they'll keep what they have, but after another 12 games for June to September, the quality NES titles will be tapped out. Very few subscribers to the online service have an interest in playing every NES title for completion's sake. How many of your friends have the patience for 80% of the NES titles originally released?
Glad for Double Dragon II. The other two look meh. Hopefully we get Star Tropics II and Earthbound Beginnings before they stop adding NES in favor of SNES in september.
Is this collection perfect? No. Do you want the NES trilogy, Super Castlevania IV, the Genesis Castlevania, Kid Dracula, and two of the Gameboy games on your Switch? Then you know you need to pick this up. Hours of fun and frustration with a great soundtrack. I basically agree with this review.
Played hours of Castlevania Collection yesterday. Somewhere between 1/2 way and 3/4 into all the games except Simon's Quest-kinda hate that one and its cryptic item gathering face. Hoping to one day beat at least Castlevania 1. Currently at the Grim Reaper battle. Savestates will help with that.
Can't stop playing Enter the Gungeon. Killed the past of the main 4, robot, unlocked paradox, and killed the lich. Still need to unlock bullet/kill his past and beat the game with paradox. Might be awhile though since beating lich the first time I got really good RNG. Chamber Gun is the best.
@Beatley82 @YANDMAN @Fandabidozi yes, my comment was very much in jest. I need to utilize /s more. Though I have a sneaking suspicion if Sega never got out of hardware this website would be called Segalife. Yes, I realize Nintendo has always had its fans, but many Europeans jumped ship when the Dreamcast went under (one of my favorite systems despite being a Nintendo fan). I find it odd that Sega's #1 target audience today is Japan when they were/are more popular in literally the rest of the world and virtually ignored in their "home" country in comparison. (Just poking fun at a Japanese firm purchasing Seattle Games many years ago when Sega mainly made pinball machines and other physical boardwalk games).
Seattle Games isn't popular in Japan? Go figure. Nintendo was always 4x more popular in Japan than Sega. Pander to North Americans (50% 16bit market share) as well as Europeans who didn't know what a Nintendo was until the Wii.
Mission Accomplished!!! Nintendo has clearly won the fight against piracy by getting a few sites to shut down. Surely the hundreds of others must've thrown in the towel in fear of the examples made. checks the internet wow. Nevermind. 😅
I enjoy the Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter, Doom, and Wing Commander movies. They're just good fun to throw on the TV and laugh. Also love Mortal Kombat, Silent Hill, the first two Resident Evil movies, and Street Fighter Assassin's Fist. The Street Fighter II anime is also glorious.
@Medic_alert Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, the Mario Party series, Star Wars Shadows of the Empire, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Star Fox 64, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Waverace 64, Jet Force Gemini, Mischief Makers, Pokemon Snap, NFL Blitz, Cruisn USA, Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Rampage World Tour, Gauntlet Legends, Resident Evil 2, Starcraft 64, Command and Conquer, just to name a few of the titles that made an N64 a worthy purchase in the 90s. Also, 4 player capability. Nearly no load times.
Yuck. Rather have these in a Switch collection for $40 or $8 a pop on eshop. I already bought an x-arcade stick for my MAME so, good on arcade sticks atm.
@BanjoPickles I feel like Sega is that bad boy that Nintendolife editors fantasize about. They give the impression they settled for Nintendo because he's stable and has prospects. 😜
All sound like great additions to the NES app to me. Wonder what next month will bring us? Only things I can see them adding is Double Dragon II and Star Tropics II due to the upcoming Konami collections. I'm sure they'll dig up some 3rd party games nobody asked for in the next few months and everyone will be happy when SNES games finally come in September.
3 potential winners this month. Punchout!! is easily in my top 10 NES games ever. Lost Levels is amusing. Star Soldier looks fun, but never played originally. Due to licensing and Capcom/Konami putting out their own collections, only other fun games I see coming to the NES service is Double Dragon II, Star Tropics II, and Wrecking Crew.(that last one is more interesting than fun.) Would like to have all the TMNT games, but there's no way they could clear the licensing and make all the various holders happy.

Just beat the game on easy. Time for normal and more characters. If you like Contra, you need this game.
Re: Switch Lite Pre-Orders Are Live, Here's Where To Get Yours
Guess Nintendo is planning for a hard Brexit.
Or they have plans to kidnap the British Queen. Then Bison dollars will be worth so much more.
Re: Switch Lite Reveal Sees Nintendo Shares Soar To Highest Point In Nine Months
@Moonwalker-1986 you can though. Just connect another set of joycons for motion controls or don't use the motion controls.
Re: Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online In July
Bring us Star Tropics II, Earthbound Beginnings, Rad Racer, and Jackal.
These two do nothing for me.
Also, SNES for september, please.

Fallout 3, 4, or New Vegas. Don't need anything else from them unless they want to port the original Doom for 10 bucks a pop.
Re: Hands On: Pokémon Sword And Shield’s Dynamax Mode Has Us Shook
@Nekonokatzen I want a T rated pokemon horror game to hunt down the rabid ones. Like Pokemon Snap. With guns. 🤣

Call of Duty Black Ops, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Remastered, and Left 4 Dead all on Xbox One.

Playing campaign Call of Duty 2 and 3 this weekend. World at War, Black Ops, and Modern Warfare remastered if I get the chance as well.

Castlevania Collection and Resident Evil 1 for me. One day I'll have every game I wish to play portable.

Street Fighter II with 3 button controllers. Sega, you shouldn't have. No, you really shouldn't have.

Fallout 3 DLC for the most part.
Enter the Gungeon, Super Mario Bros 3, and Starlink on the side.
Re: Enter The Gungeon Receiving A Retail Release In North America On 25th June
2nd most played Switch game after Breath of the Wild. Might be the best $15 I ever spent. Looking forward to even more Gungeon runs this weekend.
