Re: Random: 'Switch Vs Steam Deck' Memes Are A Thing Now, Apparently

Harmonie

I like the SteamDeck. There are two problems with it for me, though, and that's that the games I play on PC, only one of them I play with controller (FFXIV), the rest of them I play with keyboard/mouse. Second, none of the games I play regularly I have on Steam.

It seems really nice, but I'm afraid I wouldn't have much of anything to play on it. Persona 4 Golden, yes, but that's it.

Re: Poll: Mario Golf: Super Rush Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?

Harmonie

Might try it when I both have a stable income and it goes on sale. Even still that's a "might" because Mario Tennis Aces sadly didn't impress me much.

I loved the Mario sports titles back when I was a kid/teen. Kinda sad that they just don't do it for me anymore. =(

Regardless, I wish all of the success to Camelot because I really want them to get back to the Golden Sun series.

Re: Round Up: The Mario Golf: Super Rush Reviews Are In

After playing Mario Tennis Aces and sadly not being in love with it, I tampered my expectations for this as well. It's a shame that a lot of people are calling the story mode lackluster, as that was always a big thing back in the GBC and GBA versions.

Re: New Nintendo Infographic Shows Every Game Featured During The E3 Direct

Harmonie

Mario Party Superstars might be fun, but I'd only pick it up when it's on sale. $60 is way too steep.

Otherwise, SMT and Danganronpa are series I am interested in trying. Not shown in the Direct but I'm definitely wanting to get on the Switch is the Great Ace Attorney collection.

BOTW2, which is missing from the logos (because it doesn't have a logo yet, I know, but couldn't they have put something? lol) is the most exciting game shown, though.

Metroid, Advance Wars, and Wario Ware - They are not my cup of tea, but I am happy for the fans. Especially seeing Advance Wars revived was exciting.

Re: The E3 2021 Awards Winners Are In, But Nintendo Lost Out

Harmonie

The Nintendo Direct was certainly objectively one of their better Directs. From everything I watched of E3, it certainly was the best conference by a long shot, but I didn't watch the Microsoft stream. I never have, as I've never had a Microsoft console. So I can't really speak on the quality of their conference.

Re: Feature: Best Game Boy Color (GBC) Games

Harmonie

Not to get too pedantic, but Pokemon Gold/Silver are actually Gameboy games that can be played in color on the GBC. So they're kinda hybridish? Not sure it's a big deal, but they are technically GB games.

Pokemon Crystal is the one that is GBC exclusive.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Worth Buying A Nintendo Wii U In 2021?

Harmonie

If you want to play Nintendo's retro games N64 and beyond, then the Wii U is the system of choice. Nintendo has bungled this up horribly on the Switch and it's a darn shame because the hybrid nature of the Switch makes it the optimal console to purchase old content. But since Nintendo has messed this up on the Switch, the Wii U is the best for this. I mean, there are even GBA and DS games! And while the Wii U isn't completely portable, you can play these games on the Gamepad which can go a decent distance from the console/TV.

The Wii U also has free online, which is great because it has Mario Kart 8 which is one of the most fun games to play online, IMO. Plus, no Friend Codes. I can not believe Nintendo regressed on that, SMH.

I don't know if they're still downloadable or not, but the Wii U like all other modern consoles (aside from the Switch, SMH) has media, like Netflix. EDIT: Just checked, and it is no longer downloadable. =/ Oh well, most people have other means, I guess.

Other than that, it is outclassed by the Switch, as the Switch has a lot of the Wii U's library on it plus its own great exclusives (Super Mario Odyssey and Animal Crossing New Horizons are the most notable Switch exclusive games so far, IMO). If you don't care about classic games and don't mind paying for online than there isn't any sense in getting a Wii U, but those are two fairly major points for the Wii U even still, if you ask me.

Re: Soapbox: An Anniversary Ode To Okami, The Best Zelda Game That Isn't

Harmonie

This is a great game. I didn't get around to playing it until the Switch release a few years ago. I will say it has some annoying things that deter me from wanting to replay it (the blockhead stuff lol), but still really solid. I love the OST in particular and the protagonist is adorable.

I really hope that the talks of a sequel amount to something.
