Metroid is a given for me, but I'm also super excited for Advance Wars. Wario Ware should also be good. Looking forward to Skyward Sword HD as well.
Also blasted through Ancient Gods Part 1 on Switch yesterday and had a great time. I hope Part 2 and additional master levels come soon.
And now the updated list with release dates of major titles, please!
I will be buying four or five of these games for sure.
fairly decent direct with a nice Metroid sized surprise shame about botw2 but all good things come to those who wait, got pokemon legends and botw2 to look forward to next year
Eesh, years of not really playing much on my Switch and now I can’t keep up with the interesting new releases!
Can't wait for Mario Golf in a week. I've cancelled my SS pre-order (not in a rush to play it again but kept the Amiibo pre order) and will get that and Metroid Dread in a sale or pre owned.
From what was shown I plan to get Mario Golf (already preordered), Metroid and Cruis'n.
All others that I'm interested will be released next year only 😐
And for Cruis'n, I do hope it will sell well enough to give a sign to Nintendo to bring more dormant IPs in the near future.
Something missing off that infographic...hmmmm?
Metroid Dread maybe, and pretty much everything else is not quite something I would ever jump to get. Maybe if they go down in price or can get them cheap off ebay, sure, but they are more niche titles that aren't really my thing or would be willing to spend full price on, or just not in a rush to get. Super happy to see these smaller series present on switch, with some basically coming back from the dead, but nothing that is my sort of tastes for now. Hopefully there is something in the next direct for me.
Buying six of these... and already own both Life is Strange games (yes, including the one that isn’t out yet) on PS.
I’d say 6 definites / very likelies, 5 probables and a few outlier possibilities. Not at launch though I don’t have that much disposable dosh.
Except for Metroid though, that can be launched into my face tied to the end of Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round and I’d still pay them to ensure release day delivery or prior.
Mario Party Superstars, WarioWare and Cruisn Blast.
@JJ_Brum Yeah that is weird. Didn't even notice it at first, but reading your comment I assumed that's what it was. Hard to add a game to a graphic w/ no title I guess. 🤷
I'm probably getting MHS2:WoR, and likely Mario & Rabbids when it hits $20, but I really need to find a PS5 this holiday.
Not that I'd play it, and it wasn't in the Direct, but I'd replace Just Dance w/ Pokemon Diamond & Pearl remasters.
It is a really nice graphic though, even if it isn't for me. I have very limited, and niche apparently, tastes.
Dread, Mario Rabbids and Advance wars for me. Never played advance wars but l have discovered in recent years that I really like tacticle games like this one. Really hate the art style so generic and cheap looking.
Maybe monster Hunter but not sure about the combat system.
Actually....
Those Mario games above are my Bottom Three games.
Not bad games but I felt those Mario games are the weakest from my perception.
Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope looks great but still unsure with the gameplay as I almost never touch Kingdom Battle for 4 years.
Mario Party Superstars looks cute but still unsure to get into the games as I still neglected my Mario Party Island Tour and Star Rush.
Mario Golf Super Rush is the weakest as I still suck at golf video games no matter how many times I tried, I oftenly got Bogey or positive scores for unable to measure exact power and angles to hit the ball with very few shots.
Monhun Stories 2..... Now I'm being unsure to get engaged with the gameplay after watching the further trailer. It looks great in graphic but to see the monsters around, kinda changed my mind to consider the game.
Off topic, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PS5 is my Top One over all those Switch games above.
there are so many great games coming to the switch this year. in other news since Nintendo life will not print japanese charts nintendo everything did. As I predicted rachet and clank DID NOT go number one. GAME BUILDER GARAGE SLAUGHTERED
FF7 and rachet and clank both on the ps5. GBG had 71,000 was 1st. FF 7 was 2nd with 20,000 or so and Rachet and clank was 3rd with 14,000. two big AAA ps5 powerhouse titles could not knock out a 30 dollar budget builder game. that is so Pathetic. and as far as digital sales go . GBG had digital sales too. so they still would not have beaten the game. like i said. sony stick with the west. Nintendo owns japan. if their big AAA titles cannot go number 1 over a small budget game. then sony might as well throw in the towel. and I am shocked it took this long for a ps5 game to make it into the japanese charts and i say by next week . both will be gone. Sorry sony you are not God like so many people in the video game industry think you are . you are failing in japan. how much longer will Square and Capcom keep supporting a failing system. they want to make money which is what the switch is doing for them in japan loyalty only goes so far.
Metroid, WarioWare, Advance Wars, Cruis'n, Mario + Rabbids and Super Monkey Ball for me.
EDIT: Do we know if Cruis'n Blast will be digital only?
Getting all but 7 of these. May need some part time work.
There's a little something for everyone here. That's nice.
@tntswitchfan68
Yikes, might dust off the tablet on October but that's a big might. 2d metroid isn't worth $60. For sure, can't wait for November tho, but that's about it
I'm looking forward to Metroid Dread, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, SMT V, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and DBZ Kakarot. I'll also give Skyward Sword HD a go now that it can be played without waggle controls.
As for the others, I still need to get Smash, Doom Eternal, and Hyrule Warriors. Money's been tight, but I should be able to get at least one of these by the time they're released lol
Very much looking forward to the new Mario + Rabbids, Mario Party Superstars, Skyward Sword HD, and Monster Hunter Stories 2. Between these, Ace Attorney Chronicles and the Diamond/Pearl remakes, my wallet is already crying! 😂
Metroid, Fatal Frame, Skyward Sword. Everything else is not worth the $60 price point. I might also get Mario Party later.
Metroid Dread, Advance Wars and maybe Project Zero
Metroid, Fatal Frame, Advance Wars, and Shin Megami Tensei for me.
In my ongoing attempt to be recognised as the dullest person on the planet, I have to once again say: this isn't an infographic. 'Infographic' has a fairly precise meaning. This is just a graphic. Or an image. Or a picture. Or a collage of logos.
My poor wallet. I'll be buying at least 15 games from this list. It's safe to say the Switch is my favorite Nintendo console/handheld of all time and I've had every Nintendo console/handheld since the NES/Gameboy.
@Slowdive Damn, you must be well-off to be able to drop close to $800 on new games, ‘cause most of those titles are going for full retail, right?
@JJ_Brum Good content?
I still don't understand what exact games are in Super Monkey Ball.
...but even as a fan of the series, Advance Wars for $60 is absurd.
Not much for me this E3 and that's ok. The Indie's are outperforming the big companies right now. Good for them!
3 games for me:
Guardians of the Galaxy, Worms Rumble and Metroid.
Quick question: did Nintendo Europe or UK make this info graphic because I noticed that it says Project Zero and that is what Fatal Frame is called in Europe. It’s called Fatal Frame in North America.
Games I need
1. Metroid Dread
2. Maiden of Black Water
3. Danganronpa
4. Mario Party Superstars (maybe)
5. life is strange ( maybe)
@Slowdive thank you. The video reveal showed more but I guess that must have a montage of its history. I've owned the first 2 (still have the first) on GC but not sure what deluxe is. I'd say another pass for me this time. Good game for first-time monkey's though.
@Slowdive Very nice, may they bring you happiness!
Mario Party Superstars might be fun, but I'd only pick it up when it's on sale. $60 is way too steep.
Otherwise, SMT and Danganronpa are series I am interested in trying. Not shown in the Direct but I'm definitely wanting to get on the Switch is the Great Ace Attorney collection.
BOTW2, which is missing from the logos (because it doesn't have a logo yet, I know, but couldn't they have put something? lol) is the most exciting game shown, though.
Metroid, Advance Wars, and Wario Ware - They are not my cup of tea, but I am happy for the fans. Especially seeing Advance Wars revived was exciting.
I want Metroid, Advance Wars, SMT V, NMH III and Mario + Rabbids. That's not really all, but I want those the most.
For those who asked:
I was really sceptical about Shin Megami Tensei V but after that trailer I’m really hyped. Day one for me!!
@tntswitchfan68 who said Sony ever had Japan? The last R&C game sold 27k in 2016 when there were 4 million ps4s in Japan. It came 3rd then too. The whole rest of the chart was 3ds and a couple of wiiu games! Sony know Japan is Nintendo land, they make their money in the west where they do very well so I really don't think they will be bothered by these sales at all.
Japan is the land of the hand held, has been for years.
Capcom will still make games for Sony for years, in UK 73%of resident evil village sales was on a Sony platform. And a failing platform? 🤪 You do make me laugh.
Oh and they have done an article on the Japan sales this week.
i know for sure i'm getting Advance Wars, Metroid Dread and Shin Megami Tensei V.
i'll wait for more details on Mario Party Superstars before going all in.
i'm gonna try out the N64 Version of Cruis'n before getting the new Switch game.
One underdog I'm pumped about is Cruis'n. I played it in the arcade and it was super fun! Would love to spend some more time with it!
This is no infographic. This is just a collection of logo’s. Poster might be ok. an infographic should contain extra meta information, or stats or something
Still. Happy with advance wars and warioware
Based off of that infograph, as well as other games with confirmed release dates, this is what I'll most likely be buying for my Switch...
Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX (June 22nd)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 (June 25th)
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (July 16th)
Sonic Colors Ultimate (September 7th)
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania (October 5th)
Metroid Dread (October 8th)
Mario Party Superstars (October 29th)
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond (November 19th)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (2021 Release)
If you ask me, it's a decent size list of games, for the remainder of 2021.
I nearly fell out of my seat when they showed Advance Wars, thought Nintendo had just let this series die off for good. So glad to see it make a comeback!
@Serialsid Sony dominatee Japan for years. Nintendo ignorantly ignore Japan and it cost them. Now, Sony is making that same Mistake. Nintendo ignored Europe for too long, now they take is serious. I get it, Sony does the best in the west, but ignoring Japan isn't smart. Nintendo lost a lot of gamers and support by doing that. Ignoring any market is a mistake.
@nessisonett What a great comeback. Did it tale you an hour of brainache to strain to think of that.
@tntswitchfan68 According to the timestamps it took me 4 minutes.
I beat Advance Wars on GBA and Wii U Virtual Console. Unfortunately I no longer have either system and my kids are now old enough to enjoy this series so I'll probably buy Advance Wars for my kids and then hope it sells well enough for Nintendo to revive the series that I love (or at least bring back Days of Ruin, the best of the 4 Advance Wars games)
Shin Megami Tensei V, EASILY! so excited, quite a view others I have interest in
@nessisonett Sarcasm flies over your head huh? No surprise. Lol
@tntswitchfan68 Sony haven't been strong in Japan for many many years.
Out of 116 million ps4 sales only 9 million were in Japan.
Switch 80 million sales, 20 million in Japan.
Sony are not ignoring Japan, they just don't prioritise it. But I read yesterday that the ps5 is selling quicker than the ps4 did in Japan and that's during these difficult times.
Sony software sales for the past fiscal year, 339 million
Nintendo 231 million.
I think Sony will be fine with their current strategy. After all Playstation just posted their highest revenue in the history of the company. Not bad for a failing system eh.
@tntswitchfan68 I don’t think you know what sarcasm is. If you were being sarcastic then you’d really have been admiring my quick thinking.
@Anti-Matter @meeto_1
If you two had played the first one, these points wouldn't put you off, it looks better than the first, with a now deeper battle system, that of which was prefectly fine with the first one anyway tbh. Its Pokemon meets Monster Hunter with a better story. Completely recommend.
@Kaori-chan
I was going to say you could be a waiting a while to see that, but Rise has oddly been available for decent prices quite often, even on pre-order.
@Serialsid It seems like Sony gives up too easily. I could be wrong, but look at the PS Vita. Such a good system, but Sony dumped it. Maybe I am wrong, but Sony seems to be giving up on Japan too easily. That is just how I feel.
@nessisonett If you had any wit, then I would.
@tntswitchfan68 I completely agree with you about the vita, it was a great system(though not as versatile or clever as the switch) and they just never really supported it. I know a lot of fans that purchased one feel very let down by Sony abandoning it.
Sony haven't really been that strong in Japan since the ps2(21 million). The ps3 sold half that. Then the ps4 less still.
And you only have to look at the best selling consoles of all time in Japan. 4 out of the top 5 are handhelds. I think they know they can't compete with Nintendo in their home country so their going where the money is for them.
@Serialsid I just feel bad for my Sony friends. But, on the plus side. Nintendo can get more games because of this.
