thing is it does look like it would be a fun game BUT with Minecraft itself coming to the system i think people will ignore this one even if it is better simply because of the fact the original Minecraft is available

you know i'm glad an FF character is in smash, still seems a little strange to pick Cloud over Terra or Cecil

unless those rumours about the Remake coming to NX are true?

you know MS have been supporting Minecraft on other systems and even announced a Wii U version

the XB1 hasn't been as great a seller as MS hoped it would (although as far as i'm aware it's still making money)

could MS be testing the waters of being a third party publisher

but you are right there is a lot of trash talking about other systems (in all directions) and there really is no need for it because at the end of the day the games are all that matter, not what box of plastic and wires you put it in.

Also "Killer Line up" is subjective i have very little interest in MS exclusive line up at the moment but that is more to do with the fact my main games are JRPG's so what's "killer" to one isn't to another

that wasn't what i was saying,THEY said it they stopped because of the install base being low, well so was the XB1 install base in it's first year so if they are basing it on first year sales why didn't they abandon the XB1 during that time period too?

i know that the XB1 is easier to program for and it's install base did grow quicker that's true but they NEVER gave the Wii U the chance they gave the XB1, they had a few low game sales and Nintendo said they couldn't put Origin on the Wii U so they ran off but then again with the half assed effort they put in to the games what did they expect? and as for sticking with the XB1 i think it might have more to do with Microsoft letting them put EA Access on the XB1 than anything else

but the main thing is that something else was at play here, we know what it is but they wont admit it

i hope the NX is a big success so EA have to come grovelling back to Nintendo

@kensredemption well that was the last estimate i saw from a few months back by now it should be more but still it's a poor showing and these so called big publishers who abandoned the Wii U for "poor sales" have stuck with the XB1 even though it's selling poorly too (although i have no doubt it will pick up around XMAS)

so it's obvious something else is at play here and the only thing i can think of is the whole "Nintendo not letting EA use Origin as the Wii U online service" and we all also know that when EA threw their Hissy Fit they also spread a lot of rumours and bad information to the other big publishers and online that damaged the Wii U's reputation

as for the NX it might well be a powerful, easy to develop for system and if it was me i would tell EA to stuff it where the sun don't shine but i doubt Nintendo can afford to do that

we all know the real reason they stopped

they threw a hissy fit when Nintendo wouldn't let them put Origin on the system and make it their Online platform, so they took their ball home.

the Wii U has sold (IE in people houses) over 10 million units as of September, the XB1 has Shipped (IE to shops NOT in People houses) an estimated 15 million (as MS stopped giving out sales numbers) not sure how many are in homes but i read somewhere it's estimated around the 11 million mark (if anyone can find out how many are sold TO CONSUMERS not shipped, there is a HUGE difference, that would be nice)

and if that's true the XB1 isn't really doing any better then the Wii U so to say the market is too small is Bull****, if the Wii U market is too small then so is the XB1 market, so are you gonna stop making games for that then EA?

i'll be getting it anyway i grew up with Nintendo and i always get their systems because even if the third party support is poor their first party games are always fun to play

i have NEVER been disappointed with a Nintendo system

gamers put to much on sales when the only people who should be bothered by sales are the manufactures themselves

it was probably just MS covering all their bases in case they did eventually want to release it on Wii U

now on with the comment yes it is a bad thing that features are being removed and for no apparent reason and i understand that some people like to try to recreate themselves in the game (i personally don't but that's me) and i can see why they are upset but i don't think complaining on Nintendo Life is going to change anything, if they want this feature back they need to take it to Nintendo themselves via social media and maybe an online petition, i'm sure the feature could be added back via an update if there enough demand (that's unless it was taken out for legal reasons of course after all Japan's laws are different to the laws of Europe and the US when it comes to this type of thing)

@Scarlet yeah i thought Terra would have been a better choice but i guess as characters go Cloud is the most well known FF character, even people who never played Final Fantasy know who Cloud is

still on the bright side if he's popular enough it might show Square that their Final Fantasy games can still work on Nintendo systems and perhaps we might get some of them on the Nintendo NX such as the FFVII remake or a port of FFXV?

excited about the DQ 7 & 8 news and Cloud in Smash (which was really surprising, as FFVII was never on Nintendo, i would have thought it would have been a FF character from a game released on Nintendo and to be honest when i saw and heard the beginning bit i thought it was going to news about a Wii U FFVII release)

Zelda Twilight Princess HD it was great it was confirmed and i personally love that game plus Zelda U confirmed out in 2016 was great news too

this is wishful thinking but Cloud is now in Smash and the FFVII Re-Make Trailer said FIRST on PS4, now every one is assuming XB1 (doubt this one myself) or PC (quite possible as the original is on there) but dare i say it "a NX release?"

come on Nintendo, I'm all for trying something new but you need the NX to be attractive to developers otherwise we will just have another WiiU situation on our hands and making a console completly different to the other gaming systems is just going to put them off

you can't afford a 3rd generation with no support or just shovelware like the Wii and WiiU and I don't mean money wise I mean if you can't get developers on board with the NX you will never get them back and you will just end up like SEGA

@Koniec well most developers are pretty much treating the WII U as HD Wii at this point so I would be ok with the NX coming out in the next few years to get Nintendo back in the game
