Re: "Why Make It Mini?" NES Creator Says People Would Still Buy A Regular System Today

FullbringIchigo

well i still have my original one BUT if they released a new version that could play NES game cart but output via HDMI so it's better on modern TV's and with some of the other things like save states and the like i would buy one

but i wouldn't buy a carbon copy of the original

of course Nintendo missed a trick with the mini by not putting a digital store on it so we can buy more games

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Reveals Controversial Voice Actor's Replacement

FullbringIchigo

@Rafie yeah that first part wasn't for you sorry

as for the investigation

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2019-07-29/mignogna-deposition-the-funimation-investigation/.149250

it clearly states Sony did the investigation and i'll post a qoute here for ease

"The decision was the result of an investigation by Sony Picture's executive director of employee relations Tammi Denbow that began on January 22"

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Reveals Controversial Voice Actor's Replacement

FullbringIchigo

@Rafie he wasn't sacked he is an independent voice actor like a lot of people who voice for funimation that's why some of them show up in Viz Media dubs for example, they just chose not to hire him on future products, there's a difference, he was sacked from RWBY though

and it was Sony who did the internal investigation into him and decided that funimation will no longer be using him, funimation broke the news but it was Sony's decision at the end of the day

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Reveals Controversial Voice Actor's Replacement

FullbringIchigo

anyway trying to get this back on topic as the mods don't seem to care but FighterZ had a update that adds the new Data to the game (although you can't download Super Broly yet) and i find it odd that they didn't bother changing the Old Broly voice

forgetting all the drama for now the character has been recast so you would think for consistency they would update the old one too but they didn't so this means that there are 2 Broly's in the same game and each have a different voice

that's just odd and in my opinion a little lazy

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Reveals Controversial Voice Actor's Replacement

FullbringIchigo

@MegaVel91 while this doesn't say that him not turning up was the reason it does clearly state he was not present for the hearing

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-09-06/mignogna-civil-case-against-voice-actress-jamie-marchi-dismissed/.150828

as for the final ruling well that information is here

Re: Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Reveals Controversial Voice Actor's Replacement

FullbringIchigo

i figured he was going to do it, he did replace him as Sabo in One Piece after all so it makes sense

on a side note if i'm honest Vic didn't really do that great a job in the movie, it's decent but there were time you could tell he just either couldn't or didn't want to do it properly, just look at the "scream" when Broly is powering up to his maximum power, it's just off and doesn't match what's going on in the shot so i think getting someone new is a good thing and JYB is a good voice actor, just look at Bleach for the example

Re: The Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (DBS) Joins Dragon Ball FighterZ Next Week

FullbringIchigo

@NIN10DOXD @arekdougy @PaperLucario i don't think we will ever know what really went on behind the scenes but as far as i'm aware Vic did a counter claim and it got thrown out of court so to me that says he did do something (he even said so himself at one point, apologising for his behavior and you don't do that if you never did anything) and as for those so called "leaks" those were at least 8 years old, had been leaked before and ALL the people involved had already been disciplined by both funimation AND Toei, plus it was a private recording of a fanfic, should they have done it, no of course not but it wasn't done maliciously and it was Sony (funimation's parent company) who decided to end the contract with Vic not funimation themselves

as for the voice i wouldn't be surprised if they just used archive recordings from the Broly movie, XenoVerse 2 and other games as well, they have enough of them after all and it wouldn't be the first time they did it just look at Ultimate Tenkaichi back on the PS3/360, there was a lot of reused sounds in that, in fact you can even hear the characters such as Gohan and Frieza switch between their old DBZ voices and their Z Kai voices

but in the end neither side covered themselves with glory in this one, it was a huge public mess not only because of their behavior but also because of the behavior of the "fans", for example threatening Monica Rial with rape and physical assault because she accused him was a terrible thing for people to do, is it no wonder she flew off the deep end?

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Wants Nintendo To Be As Big As Disney, But Concerned Parents Are Making It Difficult

FullbringIchigo

get an animated Mario Movie out that will grab their attention maybe then parents would be more willing to let their kids play Nintendo

i feel gaming gets a bad rep because whenever it's in the news it's for something like violence, sex or the whole lootbox thing, it's only a small side of it but unfortunately it paints the entire industry with the same brush and makes it all look bad

but i guess that's all news does now a days only shows the bad and sensualizes it, anything for the clicks hey

Re: Senran Kagura Peach Ball Gets Down And Dirty On Switch This July

FullbringIchigo

@Rayquaza2510 oh look another person not letting someone else have an opinion just because it differs from their

first back inb thoses days, this is a new game so how the hell does "back in those days" cover that

second the laws in Japan has changed and now it's 16+ not 13+

third it doesn't matter if it's a game it's still kid ffs and also the rating board has NOTHING to do with what goes in a game, they just give it a rating based on what's in a game it IS in fact up to publishers and console manufactures to censor games IF they need to

fourth i'll comment if i bloody well want too that's what a open forum is for, if they don't want people commenting and sharing their views then they shouldn't have a comment section

and why the hell should i need proof that oversexualization of young girls is wrong THEY ARE YOUNG GIRLS how is this so hard to grasp for some people, it doesn't matter what country it's made in if they plan on releasing it in other countries then YES they should modify it to be in line with their laws and sensibilities

but yes i will grab my drink and stop commenting because i just simply don't understand how people are angry some one said "no" to having this kind of content of their system, it's theirs and they can do what the hell they want with it, if they don't want a game or if they want it censored then that's their prerogative

Re: Senran Kagura Peach Ball Gets Down And Dirty On Switch This July

FullbringIchigo

@GameOtaku that's always been the case though, blood and violence is fine but show a little skin and the parents throw a hissy fit

just look at films and TV, someone getting blown up is fine but show a little side boob and suddenly it's torches and pitchforks

but please don't misunderstand i DO believe censorship is wrong BUT i also think it's wrong to put underage kids in sexual situations for entertainment

Re: Senran Kagura Peach Ball Gets Down And Dirty On Switch This July

FullbringIchigo

@JamesJose7 Sony introduced a new policy across ALL their entertainment mediums, yes it affects a few games and ONLY a few mind you (Catherine Full Body for example has NO censorship) because it was a blanket policy for the film branch of Sony but it covered every section of Sony Entertainment including Sony Computer Interactive

people forget that unlike MS or Nintendo, Sony ISN'T just computer games it has music, TV and films that it also makes so something like this covers ALL that

and besides they seem to have let up a bit since they first implemented it

but i still stand by that censoring underage girls isn't an issue for me, i don't get how people are angry that they can't make her skin look glossy or bounce her boobs about

OH and also even now in Japan they are reviewing the laws on underage representation so thing like "Lolis" could become a thing of the past

it's NEVER right to sexualize underage kids, calling them Lolis doesn't matter they are underage and that's that but if someone "enjoys" looking at young girls in risque situations then they have issues

Re: Senran Kagura Peach Ball Gets Down And Dirty On Switch This July

FullbringIchigo

@GameOtaku that is true i suppose BUT you also have to remember that depending on where your European head office is you have to abide by different laws, that's why for example DMC5 is uncensored everywhere apart from on PS4 in Europe

that's not just Sony that's EU regulations too (in case your wondering as XBOX's head office is actually in America they don't have to censor it)

Re: Dotemu "Honored" To Team Up With Square Enix For Remastered Version Of Final Fantasy VIII

FullbringIchigo

@BlackenedHalo so could Yuna in FFX but that's because they were part of the narrative just like in FFVIII (yes i know they were in IX too but they were meant to only be accessible later in the game also fun fact if you have the patience to do it you can actually level up Dagger when she first joins the party and use summons then too, they were only locked out because she didn't have enough MP) where as in most other FF's they were just an ability
