This sucks, but if the alternative is digital-only, then it's better than nothing in my opinion. At least there's SOMETHING to put on my shelf as a collectable even if it's just an empty shell. Still, though, that's scummy af and defeats the purpose of physical media.

They should release each game separately for $30 or $40. That's a price point gamers would swallow - especially those who are only interested in some of the games - and would almost certainly make them more money than a complete collection at $70.

I understand his reasoning as it wasn't the original version, but I strongly disagree with him. I haven't played the HD remaster yet, but between PS2 and Wii, I found Wii to be a much more natural feeling experience.

Jesus Christ, they already ruined the look by replacing the proper character with a stupid angry looking brown bird, and now they've delayed it more than a Zelda game. wtf guys

@nukatha It's definitely not just a pair of LCD games. That's a tiny fraction of the gameplay. The vast majority is a third person mission based action game with a ton of characters and story scenes building on the series's already rich world.

@Vyacheslav333 Blame Nintendo; Nintendo of Japan and Nintendo of Europe are less dedicated to the fans and customers than Nintendo of America is.

What's the issue with just accepting that Birdo is genderqueer? Is there a reason that we have to squeeze every character into a binary gender structure? Why are we so concerned with Birdo's sex and reproductive equipment?

I think Nintendo's policy is fair, but I also understand the reasoning behind the law, and if the law prohibits that kind of warranty clause, then the warranty has to change. A company can't be allowed to pick and choose what laws it follows.

I absolutely adore my Wii U, and I'm glad to see this dev still giving the system the respect it deserves. I'll definitely boot mine back up to check out this update!

I didn't want Breath of the Wild, and it's now my favorite in the series; I trust Nintendo to make something amazing no matter how much or how little I think I want it.

I mostly use mine docked, but I play it in bed and at work often enough that I'd have said both handheld and docked.

I'm getting both versions because I'm an absolute FANATIC about Fire Emblem, but I'll probably only play the Switch version.

Shovelware can be entertaining when you're drunk if it's cheap.

I understand why it's a bit pricier, and I still think it's worth it for the advantages that cartridges provide, but it's extraordinarily irksome nonetheless.

I'd have to say the early 90s was the golden era for gaming. Arcades were still big, we had some real console variety (even if most weren't terribly successful, they were still there), and big devs weren't afraid to take chances on creativity.

I bet it will get localized for Switch, though it wouldn't surprise me if that version comes out in the West a few months after 3DS and PS4. PS4 and 3DS are both pretty much a given IMO. I'll be waiting for Switch, though.

This is my favorite game I have for my MVS cabinet. It's AMAZING.

I fully expected to play it docked as a home console the majority of the time, but I've found that it really is a pretty even split for me. Between playing a little in the bathroom here and there, playing a little as I'm lying in bed, or playing some at work during my lunch break, the split's pretty even. It's truly a brilliant system.

It's unacceptable that it's taken this long, but I've had it pre-ordered since it was first announced since I'm going for a full North American Wii U set.

No one will be able to tell the difference without a side by side comparison.

And HD remaster of the original game? Did you people forget that the original game was ALWAYS in HD?

I REALLY want this game. Unfortunately, it'll have to wait a while until it either goes on sale or I get my credit cards whittled down a bit.

tbh I think Ubisoft is a trash publisher and refuse to buy any of their games new. HOWEVER I'd love to see them support the Switch because I want to see the Switch get as much support as possible.

I made the mistake of downloading this on March 3rd thinking it would be an entertaining kart racer. I was so, so disappointed...

Disc rot is definitely a threat, but it's an exaggerated one. If you make sure that you keep your games out of the sun and out of high humidity or extreme temperatures, it's not likely to be a major concern any time soon.

I, personally, don't care at all about a web browser for streaming apps. I do think they need to be included, though; these days, people use their game consoles for streaming as much as they do gaming (if not more). I'm glad that Nintendo is sticking to their guns on the "This is for games" thing, but I do think it's a bad business move.
