Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Resident Evil Requiem?

7 is a masterpiece game imo and runs extremely well on Switch 2. 8, while an extremely good horror experience, is a step down from 7 in fear and aesthetic and isn't as smoothly performing on Switch 2 as 7. 9 is, so far (I haven't completed the game yet), the scariest game in the series to date to me, and while it's got some pretty big frame rate drops in places, it's a surprisingly good version of the game.

Re: Resident Evil Requiem Leakers Deserve "A Thousand Deaths", Says Hideki Kamiya

@rjtheyounger No tf he's not. Unless you're going to tell me that hurricanes and low pressure systems actually cause hundreds of thousands of felines and canines to fall from thousands of feet in the air. Have you never heard of an idiom? He doesn't literally mean that they should die a thousand times; it's an idiom that means "they're the worst of the worst." It's garbage machine translation, not an accurate translation.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Mario Tennis Fever?

It's a fun, competent Mario Tennis game, and it's certainly better than Ultra Smash, but the adventure mode is boring and repetitive, and it just doesn't have the mysterious "oomph" that Power Tennis had (and I am absolutely open to the possibility that Power Tennis's "oomph" is nostalgia for the Gamecube). It didn't wow me in any way, but the character roster is really nice, and it's definitely your usual Mario Tennis fun. Definitely worth picking up for Switch 2 owners but definitely not worth buying a Switch 2 specifically to play this game.

Re: Nintendo's Investors Are Reportedly "Spooked" As Stock Slides

This is obvious. With the AI-driven chip shortage, Nintendo's production costs are rising. That means they'll either have to eat the extra cost - something that will anger investors and deter potential future investors - or raise prices to make up for the increased production cost. That will drive demand for the Switch 2 down and result in fewer sales - also something that will anger investors and drive stock prices down. Since Nintendo seems to be releasing the last few Switch 1st party games and focusing on Switch 2 games, the drop in hardware sales will mean a drop in potential software sales which, again, will anger investors and drop stock prices.

It's a no-win scenario for Nintendo because, unlike Microsoft and Sony, they don't have other business divisions to prop up stock prices. Xbox is tanking? No problem, everyone still uses Windows. Playstation is tanking? Let's shift focus to our television department. Nintendo doesn't have that option.
