Fortnite is about to reach it's lowest point. I am DONE with this game. Brainrot Characters in the game, Shutting down 3 whole game modes, and now THIS.

I actually think they'd be a nice inclusion in the next Smash game- not as a character, but as an Assist Trophy that's as useful as getting Goldeen from a Poke Ball Summon. Have them cheer you on, go "yikes!" when you get KO'd, pointing out the status of other characters like how full their FS Meter is, and then disappearing after 20 seconds.
I mean, I'll compete... only because I wanna battle online. I'm not gonna grind to A-Rank for 300 Mega Shards when I can just take a stroll around Lumiose and go into a Hyperspace Wild Zone for the same, if not either slightly higher or ever-so slightly lower, amount of shards.

Did. Did you actually expect them to add brand new content to a 21-year old Rom File. When has Nintendo/TPCi ever done that (Those E-Reader levels in Mario Advance 4 don't count). Why would they ever do that. If they were gonna add new content, I think they'd just go for a full blown remaster instead.
(but that was never gonna happen after 2021's incident because people act like companies can't make better games when they get a 2nd chance. Surely ILCA wouldn't be able to flop 2 times in a row, right?)
I know it would've run worse than Scalet/Violet at launch if it was released on Switch 1 but I still think it would've been nice, specifically for players who don't have/want a Switch 2 (yet)
I only really bought LeafGreen to finally play and complete a Kanto game. I bought a fake copy of FireRed in 2023, never beat it. Yarr Harr'd it MULTIPLE times before hand, never made it to the Cerulean City. Heck, I bought Pokemon Yellow wayyy before all of that. Made it to Celadon City, stopped in 2022, never went back.
THIS is gonna the one time I beat it. I'm getting LeafGreen, and sending Gary's Raticate to the Stratosphere!

"Chat is disabled for this live stream." Yup, saw that one coming. Having the Treehouse Live Chats in April be filled with "DROP DA PWICE!!!!!" must've been super annoying. As much as I agree that the price should be dropped a little, spamming the same thing in a livestream chat doesn't help at all.
This Generation is always gonna stick out to me because it was the first time I actually on the hype train for a new Generation from reveal to release, for better and for worse. One time I commented under someone's tweet and I referred to Sprigatito as a girl (A DAY AFTER THE REVEAL BY THE WAY) and I got harassed online the entire day because of it, one person even replied with art that... let's just say 15 y/o me should not have been looking at.
Anyways Sprigatito and Miraidon are easily in my top 10 Pokémon ever. I'm happy with this Generation as a whole... but could've been SO much better if Scarlet and Violet ran well at launch and Legends Z-A... oh wait that's my favorite Pokémon Game I have no complaints.
Honestly i'm shocked they even have pre-orders to begin with like "Aw heck yeah I gotta put down my 20 dollars a week in advance and pre-load the game that would've taken a minute or 2 to download"
Unless the have another Shadow Drop for the Pokemon Presents that could stress out the eShop servers for awhile, i don't see the point. (I say as my LeafGreen Pre-Order went through the other night lol)
Moon was my first Pokemon Game ever back in 2016, and i couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the series. Primarina and Lunala still remail as my favorite Starter and Legendary to this day, nothing beats em.

"If they turned this into a format, cheap upgrade pack with a graphics boost and mouse controls, alongside a free content update for all, it could help fill out their software lineup when they don't have anything coming out."
I'm not sure if Xenoblade is the type of game that needs a free content update because... i haven't played any of them... but I'm glad they're sticking with the cheap Switch 2 upgrade idea. Hopefully this becomes a standard for certain games. (CERTAIN games, not all games. If they give something like Rhythm Heaven gets one of those cheap upgrades with no extra content I WILL cry.)
I really wanna have a more positive opinion on Mario Tennis, considering I used to love actual Tennis and my first experience with Mario Tennis... was Ultra Smash. Which, at the time was pretty ok, but looking back... uh. Yikes.
I'll definitely pick it up sometime this year. Maybe in August when some (or hopefully, most) of the inevitable free post-launch updates come out. I'm looking forward to actually enjoying a Mario Tennis game! Last time I saw a YouTuber get their own game, it was a garbage mobile game that I played in 2020 for a week and deleted afterwards and unsubscribed to their channel a year later. This is a different beast, I've been a Chipflake fan for years, and seeing him get to work on a game with his own character that actually looks pretty high quality? It's very inspiring, congrats to him and the team at Salsashark! I'll be sure to pick this up soon.
I think it'd probably be good to have a Partner Showcase next month and a general Direct the next. Giving some 3rd parties the spotlight would be good. But also I just want The Duskbloods to get released so I can forget about it sooner than later.
But knowing Nintendo, a general direct is most definitely happening because Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics is coming out 12 days after this Direct is rumored to air, come on, we NEED a whole 40 minutes of them saying "Teleroboxer is a Launch Title! Buy Our Cardboard!" (now that i think about it i think it'd be nice to see if they let Switch 1 users use their old Toy-Con VR headsets...)

I've been playing Animal Crossing for 17 days straight, the first 14 days just to prep for the 3.0 update and Switch 2 upgrade. I also used an alt account to add one of my OCs to my island as a creative experiment and it's been pretty fun! (I gotta pay off that entire house and start decorating ASAP... I might need to cheat that.) I don't plan on time traveling until i break my daily bonus nook miles streak, so everything is gonna be pretty slow, but that's ok.
But I've been playing too much lately, I've probably added 50 hours in the past 2 weeks alone, so I plan to go back to Pokémon Legends Z-A today to play Ranked. Here's hoping I don't have to deal with an army of Xerneas to get that Mega Stone. (why did they lock the starter megas behind ranked ;-; (Update: Got it in like 5 battles! and there wasn't a single Xerneas in sight because it wasn't allowed this season!! I love Mega Lucario Z!!! yippee!!!!!!!!!!)
I think it would've been nice if they let you customize the consoles at a DIY Bench to change the game, it would've made having 2 F-Zeros more tolerable if you were able able to change one to something like Kirby's Dream Course.
I mean, I guess for 5 bucks it's kinda worth it... but that might just be the part of my brain that tries to justify anything cheap as good. Maybe it's the TV we have, but I barely noticed a difference. And the Mega phone... maybe this one's on me but it kept calling Kyle when I tried calling Quinn, Audie, and Marty sometimes.
But just because this was just ok for me, doesn't mean I don't like the ideas these two updates bring, in fact, I love it! Really great to hear that Prime 4 turned out great. I don't really plan on picking it up (mainly because I STILL haven't beaten Prime Remastered, i might just restart it lol), but still, it's really nice to see the wait come to an end.

An easy 9. I played the OG Air Ride once for like 2 hours years ago (with a PS3 Controller, didn't have a Gamecube Controller and there was a homebrew thingy that let me use one) and couldn't get used to it, but now in the modern age with a new game, it's fantastic.
It's really nice to see that Nintendo fans got "Oh boy, 2 Cakes!" in the end. They really hit us with 2 racers this year and I'm so happy they both ended up phenomenal.
@Uncle_Franklin There's a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good chance they signed up just to talk down about the game, like a lot of people are doing right now, spreading misinfo, and telling people not to buy the game. Plus their comments got removed soooo. I might be right for once lol.
I just beat it today, and I'm not sure if it's my FAVORITE Pokemon game i've played through, but it's definitely in my top 3 now with Legends Arceus and Ultra Sun/Moon. I was really worried about the whole "This game takes place in Lumiose City, and ONLY in Lumiose City" thing, thinking that there's no way they'd do that for one single town, and that something was up. But there wasn't anything up, it's ALL in Lumiose. Looking back, I think i would've actually hated that I lot, thank goodness they did keep it all in one area.
Either and 8 or 9 out of 10 for me, would recommend. Also, I haven't cried over a Pokemon game since OG Moon, and this game broke my 8 year streak. Good stuff.

Already got spoiled on one of the unrevealed Megas (although calling it a spoiler isn't fully right, it was pretty obvious who was gonna get a Mega if you just paid attention to the trailer BUT I WANTED TO WAIT TO SEE IT'S DESIGN), and i hope i don't come across anymore. I already decided I'm taking a good break from twitter when the game come out, so maybe after i beat it I'll go back and unblock everyone.

I Pre-Ordered the official Nintendo case, but when i picked it up, I was given the Gamestop branded one... I was kinda mad at first but it's actually a really good case! I even fell on it once, I thought it was done for since I'm a very big person, but there wasn't a scratch anywhere. I will say, I do think it could've been a bit smaller, but if you walk into a game stop and you NEED a case, I'd recommend it!
Honestly; I like them both. I think it would've been nice to have the Switch 1 E-Shop remain Orange, while the Switch 2 keeps the Red aesthetic.
There is one big issue though. Does this spell the end for Special E-Shop Themes during events? I vividly remember during Mario's 35th Anniversary Celebration, they made the E-Shop red and had 8-bit, 64, and Cat Mario appear as the loading screens, which were really fun while they lasted. I can see them doing this again for the 40th this year, but it's not going to be as impactful, since many people will have adjusted to the new E-Shop by then...
1. Can 3rd Party companies release their own Paid Upgrade Packs, or is this strictly for strictly Nintendo 1st Party Content? (Edit: Ok this one got kinda answered; Some Companies are offering Discounts to buy their Switch 2 version (Hogwarts Legacy (ew)). It's kinda weird, but I'll take it. I really wish other companies either follow the same boat as Hogwarts did or just straight up let us upgrade our physical copies. Preferably the latter. Looking at you, SEGA.)
2. Like any online service, they'll have to close the doors on Nintendo Switch Online one day, probably within a decade. When this happens, what will happen to the content distributed through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass? (Octo Expansion, MK8D Booster Course Pass, Happy Home Paradise, Zelda Upgrade Passes, ect.)

Watching the stream right now... it's still going... if Nintendo drops the price because of this then cool, but I honestly don't expect them to. Maybe during Christmas time with the launch of Kirby Air Riders, but for now, I'll bite the bullet and start putting money aside to pick it up, if not at launch then in early July.
I don't remember where, but i skimmed through a rumor article that said Switch 2 was going to cost $380, which would be a really good price for it but I doubt It'll happen. My bet is on $400-$449,
To say that I'm mad at this would be an understatement.
I've always wanted to try the Steven Universe games, atleast there's some Physical bundles with Lets Play Heros and Save the Light ebay, but Unleash the Light just isn't available at all anymore... GOD I hate Warner Bros.

I think it'd probably be good to have a Partner Showcase next month and a general Direct the next. Giving some 3rd parties the spotlight would be good. But also I just want The Duskbloods to get released so I can forget about it sooner than later.
But knowing Nintendo, a general direct is most definitely happening because Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics is coming out 12 days after this Direct is rumored to air, come on, we NEED a whole 40 minutes of them saying "Teleroboxer is a Launch Title! Buy Our Cardboard!" (now that i think about it i think it'd be nice to see if they let Switch 1 users use their old Toy-Con VR headsets...)

Alright, the 0.4% who voted for Cory in the House on the DS, raise your hands.
I've been playing Animal Crossing for 17 days straight, the first 14 days just to prep for the 3.0 update and Switch 2 upgrade. I also used an alt account to add one of my OCs to my island as a creative experiment and it's been pretty fun! (I gotta pay off that entire house and start decorating ASAP... I might need to cheat that.) I don't plan on time traveling until i break my daily bonus nook miles streak, so everything is gonna be pretty slow, but that's ok.
But I've been playing too much lately, I've probably added 50 hours in the past 2 weeks alone, so I plan to go back to Pokémon Legends Z-A today to play Ranked. Here's hoping I don't have to deal with an army of Xerneas to get that Mega Stone. (why did they lock the starter megas behind ranked ;-; (Update: Got it in like 5 battles! and there wasn't a single Xerneas in sight because it wasn't allowed this season!! I love Mega Lucario Z!!! yippee!!!!!!!!!!)

I think it would've been nice if they let you customize the consoles at a DIY Bench to change the game, it would've made having 2 F-Zeros more tolerable if you were able able to change one to something like Kirby's Dream Course.

I mean, I guess for 5 bucks it's kinda worth it... but that might just be the part of my brain that tries to justify anything cheap as good. Maybe it's the TV we have, but I barely noticed a difference. And the Mega phone... maybe this one's on me but it kept calling Kyle when I tried calling Quinn, Audie, and Marty sometimes.
But just because this was just ok for me, doesn't mean I don't like the ideas these two updates bring, in fact, I love it! If they turned this into a format, cheap upgrade pack with a graphics boost and mouse controls, alongside a free content update for all, it could help fill out their software lineup when they don't have anything coming out. I wouldn't mind if they dropped a Switch 2 Upgrade for Smash Ultimate that added mouse controls to Stage Builder and Video Editor, alongside another returning game mode (If this happens I hope it's Target Blast from Smash 4)

Really great to hear that Prime 4 turned out great. I don't really plan on picking it up (mainly because I STILL haven't beaten Prime Remastered, i might just restart it lol), but still, it's really nice to see the wait come to an end.
That being said. See you in 2034 when Prime 5 comes out. /j

An easy 9. I played the OG Air Ride once for like 2 hours years ago (with a PS3 Controller, didn't have a Gamecube Controller and there was a homebrew thingy that let me use one) and couldn't get used to it, but now in the modern age with a new game, it's fantastic.
It's really nice to see that Nintendo fans got "Oh boy, 2 Cakes!" in the end. They really hit us with 2 racers this year and I'm so happy they both ended up phenomenal.

@Uncle_Franklin There's a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good chance they signed up just to talk down about the game, like a lot of people are doing right now, spreading misinfo, and telling people not to buy the game. Plus their comments got removed soooo. I might be right for once lol.

I just beat it today, and I'm not sure if it's my FAVORITE Pokemon game i've played through, but it's definitely in my top 3 now with Legends Arceus and Ultra Sun/Moon. I was really worried about the whole "This game takes place in Lumiose City, and ONLY in Lumiose City" thing, thinking that there's no way they'd do that for one single town, and that something was up. But there wasn't anything up, it's ALL in Lumiose. Looking back, I think i would've actually hated that I lot, thank goodness they did keep it all in one area.
Either and 8 or 9 out of 10 for me, would recommend. Also, I haven't cried over a Pokemon game since OG Moon, and this game broke my 8 year streak. Good stuff.

Making sure I block everyone who posts any spoilers. Already got spoiled on one of the unrevealed Megas (although calling it a spoiler isn't fully right, it was pretty obvious who was gonna get a Mega if you just paid attention to the trailer BUT I WANTED TO WAIT TO SEE IT'S DESIGN), and i hope i don't come across anymore. I already decided I'm taking a good break from twitter when the game come out, so maybe after i beat it I'll go back and unblock everyone.
(By the way, is there anyway to reverse the "ignore" button on this site?)

I Pre-Ordered the official Nintendo case, but when i picked it up, I was given the Gamestop branded one... I was kinda mad at first but it's actually a really good case! I even fell on it once, I thought it was done for since I'm a very big person, but there wasn't a scratch anywhere. I will say, I do think it could've been a bit smaller, but if you walk into a game stop and you NEED a case, I'd recommend it!

Honestly; I like them both. I think it would've been nice to have the Switch 1 E-Shop remain Orange, while the Switch 2 keeps the Red aesthetic.
There is one big issue though. Does this spell the end for Special E-Shop Themes during events? I vividly remember during Mario's 35th Anniversary Celebration, they made the E-Shop red and had 8-bit, 64, and Cat Mario appear as the loading screens, which were really fun while they lasted. I can see them doing this again for the 40th this year, but it's not going to be as impactful, since many people will have adjusted to the new E-Shop by then...

1. Can 3rd Party companies release their own Paid Upgrade Packs, or is this strictly for strictly Nintendo 1st Party Content? (Edit: Ok this one got kinda answered; Some Companies are offering Discounts to buy their Switch 2 version (Hogwarts Legacy (ew)). It's kinda weird, but I'll take it. I really wish other companies either follow the same boat as Hogwarts did or just straight up let us upgrade our physical copies. Preferably the latter. Looking at you, SEGA.)
2. Like any online service, they'll have to close the doors on Nintendo Switch Online one day, probably within a decade. When this happens, what will happen to the content distributed through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass? (Octo Expansion, MK8D Booster Course Pass, Happy Home Paradise, Zelda Upgrade Passes, ect.)
3. Why am I still single? (This one also got answered! All I had to do was stop being single!)
4. On the topic of Nintendo Switch Online, do they still plan to offer Game Trials for certain games on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2? And if so, will some be exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2?

Watching the stream right now... it's still going... if Nintendo drops the price because of this then cool, but I honestly don't expect them to. Maybe during Christmas time with the launch of Kirby Air Riders, but for now, I'll bite the bullet and start putting money aside to pick it up, if not at launch then in early July.
