Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Biggest Gaming Regrets

Dyna-Z

My biggest gaming regret would be playing my 2DS instead of sleeping. This came with many downsides, such as not having enough energy to make it through the day and falling asleep in the middle of English class, not being able to hear the game I was playing because I didn't want to wake my brother up (bunk bed, ugh), and having a higher chance of getting the console taken away from me if I got caught for about a month, or 2 or 4.

But easily, the worst part: falling asleep in while playing. this happened many times, and nothing bad happened, it would just be on low battery or dead when I woke up. But one night, I fell asleep while playing, and about and hour later, I woke up. I think it was around 3am. I decided "eh, I guess I'll keep playing". I tried to turn it on, and nothing happened. I then tried to plug it in because "Hey it might be dead". So I did that, but the orange light that appears when charging a 2DS was flickering and going dim. I gave up and went back to sleep. A few days later, the 2DS was still not turning on, and that's when I realized: I had drooled on my 2DS, and it probably got water damage.

I think it's been about 3 years. I've learnt my lesson since then that sleep is more important that evolving your Rockruff at 5AM to get a Dusk form Lycanroc. (WHY MAKE ME WAIT UNTIL THEN, POKEMON ULTRA MOON!?)

Re: Rhythm Heaven Megamix

Some of the new games here are so unbelievably easy I'm confident I could get an 94 on them with my eyes closed (Looking at you Karate Man).

Despite that, this is an easy recommendation for any rhythm game fan.

Re: Wish Kingdom Hearts Was Native On Switch? A True Port Is Still "Undecided"

Dyna-Z

After a quick DuckDuckGo search, I have my opinion on this:

Given that Kingdom Hearts 1 on Playstation 2 Is 2GB and Kingdom Hearts 2 on Playstation 2 is 2GB, they could have just thrown widescreen on the original versions, NOT the versions in 1.5, 2.5, or 2.8, and release them either separately or as a 1+2 collection, and then have Kingdom Hearts 3 (30GB) be a cloud version.

I have no idea how game development works, but if they can get a game like HellBlade running on switch (haven't played, don't have interest sorry), give Kingdom Hearts 2 a chance...

Edit: Just realized Kingdom Hears 2.8 doesn't have Kingdom Hearts 2. Why did they call it Kingdom Hearts 2.8.

Re: Glyph

Dyna-Z

I heard of this game when the Glyph Twitter account said something about using Glyph as a golf ball (It was underneath a Mario Golf: Super Rush tweet from Nintendo of America)

A few months later, I bought and played the game, and it's pretty damn good.

Re: Kingdom Hearts Cloud Collection Arrives On Switch In February, Pricing Revealed

Dyna-Z

The only clouds I like are the ones in the sky and the ones in the pfp above me, hard pass.

It just really makes me sad that they couldn't port these some of these PLAYSTATION 2/PSP GAMES to the Switch. KH3 I get because that's a giant PS4 game, it's very pretty. But the only ways to play KH1 on switch is through modding a PS2 emulator onto it (which I know is possible) or this stinky cloud version. It's depressing.

Edit: I guess you can say this deal isn't "Simple and Clean"

Re: Microsoft Buys Activision Blizzard, Now Owns Call Of Duty And Crash Bandicoot

Dyna-Z

Hopefully Microsoft fixes things up at Activision. If they do, I might be able to buy Crash 4 without supporting something that isn't Glyph.

Also, Microsoft isn't against bringing there IPs to other consoles, like they did for Minecraft and Ori. I don't see why they'd make Crash an Xbox exclusive.

Now COD on the other hand I don't care what they do, i've never been a fan.

Re: Talking Point: What Could NFTs Mean For Gaming, And Why Are They So Divisive?

Dyna-Z

I willingly got banned from "The Red Ape Family" discord server in exactly 4:16.87 (/srs), I think my opinion on NFTS are clear, but if it isn't, well, to put it short: I hate them. To put it longer:

They're stupid. They're wastes of money that do NOTHING but harm the environment and turn people into money hungry Goombas.

If a game company decides to make an NFT, my first instinct is to stop supporting them immediately. I care more about my planet than the funny men with whips, KONAMI. If a company decides to cancel their NFT plans, I am willing to accept that and continue supporting them, like Sega for example.

Also: Why have in-game NFTS? You're keeping thousands, maybe millions, out of having the feeling of 100%ing a game.

In my opinion, NFTS should not exist in general. You're harming our planet, and for what? Money? An Ape that looks like a Picrew? A costume that could have been purchased with in game currency that you don't need to spend real money to get? In my eyes, there will never be a point.
