I am expecting September, but the incoming lineup is so weak that I still have some kind of hope that we get one by end of July or August

TOTK Will keep me busy for a while and even after that I have a backlog bigger than ever before.
So personally I don't care about this yet, but Nintendo's upcoming lineup is weaker than ever. After years of rumors this is the first time that I do think it is finally time for the next console announcement, hope it is still an hybrid.

Shocked that this is even a discussion. C'mon, the most disappointing part of TOTK is using the same baseline map as BOTW. The best part of these games is exploration. We need a new map and regions next.

Sorry but no, old proper dungeons were miles better. In the future we should be able to have the best of both worlds, the open world and good big ol' dungeons

@Ralizah definitively! Already got Autobuild, but only upgraded the battery twice. I always forget about upgrading it, have only focused on upgrading my stamina to the max as in BOTW.

And I am still here trying to build a competent car that runs in a straight line and lasts longer than 5 meters before battery runs out

No local multiplayer yet? Nothing to see here then. Will only but when that feature returns

I can continue complaining about the reused map and false promise of proper dungeons but the game is so much fun still. Even for the hardest critic, personal taste, etc etc.. This just cannot be below an 8.
9 or 9.5 for me.

@somnambulance yes, and honestly I am happy that people enjoyed the game so much. Just not my cup of tea, maybe I am older haha because for me Pokemon peaked in the 3rd Gen at Emerald.Will definitively be finishing it, sometime after TOTK

@somnambulance Glad for you, but it is the first ever Pokemon game where I didn't even finish the story. I just got bored by 3/4 of the main game. Sadly I will never be as happy as I was playing older Pokemon titles. They just somehow looked much better in 2D and the difficulty was not so boring.

@invictus4000 feeling the same. I spend a lot building the thrashiest unmovable car and once I get it finally working, the battery lasts for less than 100m before it runs out. Auto Build is helping but still far from these designs

With all the hype and the internet going wild about TOTK, the only thing that still amazes me here is that unfinished broken games like Pokemen SV, which I also bought day one because nostalgia, are on the same level of Sales.
Imagine what a great Pokemon game would sell? Would be outselling GTAV over the first weekend probably

If I had never played BOTW, this would be a perfect 10/10 for me too. But BOTW exists for over half a decade now and, IN MY PERSONAL SUBJECTIVE OPINION, TOTK does not add that much to be considered a Perfect 10. Is it better than BOTW? Yes, but by today's standards it doesn't have the impact of the first game for me and takes out the best part of the original, exploring completely new regions for the very first time. Depths and Sky Islands get repetitive and the famous improved Dungeons are nowhere near the OoT era, they are the same as BOTW but with unique Bosses.
Still, loving every minute of the game, just not a 10 for me

@Martijn87 it is a hot take this week as the game is too fresh and the hype is huge but I agree with your comment, except for GTAV. It is not a top top game for me personally either, RDR2 is miles miles better, but we must agree the impact and praise that game still has even today. It deserves being in the top5 discussion.

Love the Zelda Franchise but Skyward Sword should not be nowhere near a top 10 gaming list, it barely should even make it in a Top 10 Zelda list

So.... This was a lie, or at least created false expectations.
I am loving the game, really, but the dungeons here are a big letdown. Not anywhere near the pre-BOTW era Temples yet. They are the same as BOTW but with more unique bosses.
Again loving the game , but so far the chasms are my least favorite sections, Sky Islands are fewer than expected and the rest is basically the same map as BOTW, which was great, but doesn't bring back the magic of exploring a region for the first time.
Still expecting to play this for weeks and enjoy every minute

The same as with BOTW, do absolutely everything before the credits roll except for the Koroks.

Bought it yesterday at night, easy, fast and with the local eshop's discount.
Still wondering what do those people lining up for 3 days in front of the NY Nintendo store have in their heads. Even a physical version is easy to get..

@Slowdive well, you can't expect critics to weight both games evenly for review today. TOTK can be an improvement in every way, but maybe it's impact nowadays with open world games like Elden Ring around isn't as huge as BOTW was at that time.
F ex. I would prefer playing Skyward Sword today than Ocarina of time by today's standards probably. You could say it is an improvement, but Oot still deserves more praise because of what it did back then in N64 era.
So, of course I expect TOTK to be an improvement in every way, but was not expecting it to have higher scores

@H3X3NH4MM3R wow exactly the same thing I did searching directly for those 3 review sites. I always come here for news but usually I am more aligned with GameStop's review scores. With 3 10s yeah, tomorrow can't come soon enough

Honestly one of the best news so far. Same (Backbone at at least) map had me worried, but having proper dungeons is awesome.

@LordBakemono yes as I stated after the latest trailer this game looks amazing. I was always on the first day buy train as stated before, but was afraid of a couple things. My biggest fear has always been that they keep using the same Hyrule map essentially, as exploration and discovering new areas was the best part of the first game for me and other than the islands and some changes to locations this could still be the same Hyrule most probably. Anyways, the game looks amazing as everyone expected.

To watch it or not to watch... . I don't want to be spoiled but also I am really excited for anything related to the game. I will end up watching it even if I say I won't

Only when facing friends or family who needed a little advantage, just for fun. When facing higher challenge or experienced friends, I would always use my Gamecube controller, no matter if it was DoubleDash, Wii, or 8 Deluxe.

@Tourtus wow you described perfectly what I did too. Except for the FE one, was sure about that one. My gaming sin is never having played Skyrim either.

I absolutely loved this game and still have in perfect condition running on my old Gamecube.
Now, if this was a true remaster like what Capcom did with Resident Evil 4, then of course I would have bought it. But not only does not add or improve anything, it just runs worse. What kind of feedback are they expecting?

@LordBakemono because this is a comment section about our impressions on the new stuff revealed in an official showcase just weeks before the game' s release date. And my impressions on the new stuff shown so far are that they are DLC material.

I am one of the few that actually celebrates that weapon degradation returns.
As I have said multiple times, this is a day one for me. But sadly I am currently on the "oh this looks like a very expensive BOTW DLC" train. Looking like the same game but changing shrines for sky islands. Hope I am completely wrong

@MS7000 Exactly. Luckily I haven't replayed the game in a couple years, but for someone who just recently did, this feels pretty much the same

@PinderSchloss I am afraid of the same too. Hyrule looks the same when skydiving at the end. If the map is the same with a bunch of new sky islands instead of shrines then it is a very expensive DLC. I will buy it day one anyways cause Zelda.... but even Mayora's Mask just one year after Ocarina of Time felt completeley new

@ChromaticDracula actually that is the only thing I am afraid of. We all know it is going to be a superb game, but for me the best part of the first game was exploring and discovering the map for the first time. If this is the same map with just a new floor/ bunch of islands in the sky, it is going to be the biggest letdown of the decade for me.
I am already sold on the game even without almost any information about it , but please give us a new map, the sense of discovering it for the first time again.

I remember finally picking this game up when the pandemic first hit in March 2020. What an amazing game. Never replayed it since , hence why I can't remember a favorite area, but what an amazing experience it was.

Best DB games series for me. Have been waiting an eternity for this one to come back. I am only afraid of one thing... Am I going to break my Dualsenses or My Joy cons playing this? Hope it supports my old unbreakable GameCube controllers

Really who puts an abysmal to this? Just by considering the visuals it is already above that, and if the gameplay is the same or better than the first then it can't be below a 6, unless of course you don't know what an jrpg is and you were expecting call of duty. Couldn't agree more with @Enigk, some people really need a hug. Hope they get well soon.

@CMS_Glalie "that’s a game I will never play even if someone gives me a free copy because it looks so boring" Wow so much negativity about a game you didn't even play. I was curious on seeing what great games you own instead and found only Pokemon and old Simpsons games in the profile. Obviously we own more games than those we have put in our profiles, but It seems that Krusty's Fun house is so much better than BOTW.
Maybe you should follow your own advice that you made recently about the Mario movie to another user:

I still haven't played the last wave, just forgot about it. But will be happy to play a 16 track tournament of all fresh tracks next week!
Happy to see a Double Dash course, my favorite MK. Is it too much to ask for both Daisy Cruiser and Dino Dino Jungle in the last waves instead of Tour ones? That will be the perfect ending for an amazing game

@MythTgr hope you are right, but last year everyone said exactly the same when in January E3 2022 was cancelled. Every week ,starting in June, there were these rumors saying the same and the Direct didn't come until September, while other publishers released their 'directs' around June.

@SonOfDracula exactly. The gameplay and the visuals were great, but the formula got repetitive after each character's second chapter and the stories were bad, critical for a JRPG, and disconnected. With an interesting story, this can be a great great game

Bad news, this means almost no more Nintendo news until the next Nintendo Direct at approximately September again. Of course we will have Pokemon Day news and a dedicated TOTK direct in March/April , but that's it

Not sure if I am going to buy this one, my backlog is huge right now.
But, according to my experience with the first one, you shouldn't start with a support class such as Cleric, Merchant or Apothecary. I would go with either the Warrior, Thief or Hunter. I think that those are the best classes that can solo at the beginning before the party grows bigger

I'll buy this game if/when it has a local multiplayer update as did the first one.
Best two things about the first game, FOR ME: Difficulty and Local Multiplayer.
I heard that this sequel lost both
