Never played a Persona game before. I really loved SMTV last year, and loved playing it directly on hard mode, but I heard that Persona games, although having more heart and story, are much easier which I don't like. Still a possibility
Actually I am playing the last game on my current switch backlog (Triangle Strategy) but there is nothing launching soon that I really want to check (Still not sold on XC3), so if the Direct is not released soon with juicy announcements, then I will be getting the ps plus extra subscription next and focus on games like Ghost of Tsushima and Demon's Souls until BOTW2, Silksong or something of that magnitude is released
A welcome possibility. I think that they will make a better game than EA. Goodbye to Switch and future Nintendo consoles probably, but what we have been receiving is trash anyways. I will be happy with an improved game in other consoles now.
The real downside is that we are probably loosing the $20ish sale just one month after each release every year now.
Animal Crossing New Horizons
I knew it was not for me, but with the lockdowns starting at that time, no other big releases and everyone hyping about it... I just fell in the trap. I understand why everyone else loves it, but it just isn't my cup of tea. Luckily a few weeks later I discovered Hollow Knight and that was something else
Sad, because I really enjoyed both Immortals (good surprise) and Mario+Rabbids lately. @Paraka They are just informing news here, I don't think NL wants them to be bought as this will most probably imply less Nintendo games from the studio
@Branches Yes, if you had an unlimited budget and time to play all the games that seem at least a little interesting to you, then yes, who would care about critics' reviews. But as that is not the case for most people and you need to choose, universal acclaim like this definitively encourages you to try the game. I played 8 out of 10 of those games listed above, and for me, critics were right
Oh I forgot about this one. It is going to be a really hard time deciding which games to buy with Triangle Strategy, Kirby, this one and so many others launching soon
Best Nintendo Direct in years for me. So many games releasing in so little time and without having budget will require decisions. MK8 the best announcement
So, leakers were right this time? They also mentioned news regarding MK9 and Silksong. Zelda title, and Splatoon 3 news seem like a must. My wish? A new Fire Emblem
"Surprisingly Difficult" a Pokemon game of today?!? Now they got my attention again. I bought a couple of other games in the latest eshop sale thinking that this would be a Monster Hunter for little kids... Maybe I was wrong
For me too, this is an end-of-the-day unwind game with friends. I tend to play it on PS4 instead of switch, but this weekend I sent the PS4 back to my brother (we take turns with it, switch is mine), and playing Fortnite back on Switch is a bigger downgrade than I remembered. But still fun
Saw this and went directly to the eshop and bought Tetris Connected. Sadly I remembered that my Nintendo Swith Online subscription ended last month and maybe I should renew it to play this online, something I did not plan for
I got really excited about this one when first announced, but the interest has been decreasing since, especially as it has been moving from a BOTW like to an MH-like game with each trailer and update, which I do not prefer. If the reviews are fine and there is at least some degree of challenge in the game (something pokemon has totally lost in the last years), it can still be a good option
Okay, this might be the right time for Disco Elysium or Tetris effect, or maybe both? Or maybe Blasphemous?! Or Death's Door?!! In any case, wallet is going to hurt
Seemed like a great list until I reached the first places. How is it possible for someone that has played more than 1 game in his life to put Pokemon Sw/Sh so high? Splatoon was too high too. The rest seems fine
This is my first entry in the SMT games and it has been much better than expected. The story is not great so far (30 hours in), but the gameplay is superb. I am playing it on hard, having to grind a little, but never had to repeat a boss more than 2-3 times. It forces you to understand the mechanics and build a solid competent team according to the occasion in that difficulty. And I love it. Game of the year so far for me.
Tetris Effect may be a good choice to get now and play in between some of my SMTV sessions. Sadly, I was hoping for a Disco Elysium discount too but seems like it is not happening.
@link12684 Already bought it and already enjoying it on hard difficulty, and I am happier than ever that I bought it instead of this game because of that exactly. It is something that will never happen, but just imagine a mainline Pokemon game with that level of challenge in the main story. Perfection
@Rpg-lover absolutely. But each game is easier than the last and that is not good either. You cannot compare Gold/Silver era with the SwSh. I literally finished it without using a single revive or losing a battle. It was lame. I would add difficulty options as most jrpgs do these days. I am not asking for SMT´s hard or Dragon Quest´s Draconian Quests difficulty (It would be amazing), but give us something more
People have grown with this franchise for over 20 years now and it is a shame that every game seems easier than the last. I do not know if they target small kids (which could definitively tackle a more challenging game too) or what.
There has been absolutely no challenge in the latest entries, and that is a big NO for me
Ok, for an apparent mistake in my local eshop, the game is at half-price right now. I had many doubts about this game, but knowing they will fix the mistake anytime now as no other eshop has it at half price, I had no option but to buy it. Hope it is great!
I still do not know if this game is for me. I love jrpgs, but never played this franchise, or persona before. The story is a very, very, very important thing for me in jrpgs. So, a game like Octopath that had amazing gameplay and graphics was still meh for me, and I tend to prefer jrpgs with worlds full of npcs, and side stories, and this seems like a very empty world. Will wait for user reviews for now.
Still not sure about getting the expansion pack, maybe I will even consider canceling the current subscription in the near future with Smash´s DLCs over and no MK9 on the horizon. But if I decide to get it, I would definitively wait for Majora´s Mask and Banjo Kazooie
Well for me, earning in South-American currency and paying games in USD, anything that is $60 should not be under 15-20h to be worth the price. For example, even though I loved while it lasted, Link´s Awakening for Switch was a disappointment due to it´s lenght
12-hour campaign. I love Metroid and really want to get my hands on this one, but full price is too much for this one. I already made that mistake with Link´s Awakening. It needs to be at least +25h to justify the price (especially living in South America with local currencies).
Strong month. Too strong for my budget. I like many of those, but for now I will be getting either Metroid or Disco Elysium, depending on how long the first ends up being (looking for a +25 hours campaign to pay full price for it)
I could bet Hollow Knight will be a mii fighter costume. It is really strange we have no Hollow Knight representation yet. Regarding the last fighter... All those are cool, but I want an original moveset too, and Crash seems boring, so he is the only one that I hope does not get invited
DK64 was my first console game, so the nostalgia hits hard with that one. I really need another 3D Donkey game. Early year rumours about it broke my heart after getting no news in the last directs
You simply can´t get mad at this. Just look at the Bloodborne vs Tetris Bracket. I love both but is like comparing Ice Cream vs Lord of the Rings, it makes no sense. Just relax and watch GTA V win the final against GOW.

Re: Talking Point: So, What Did You Think Of Nintendo's June Mini-Direct?
Much better than expected. The bar was too low due to the "Mini" and "Partner" thing. Nothing that yells first day buy for me, but still good
Re: Round Up: Every Game And Trailer From The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase June 2022
Never played a Persona game before. I really loved SMTV last year, and loved playing it directly on hard mode, but I heard that Persona games, although having more heart and story, are much easier which I don't like. Still a possibility
Re: Round Up: Every Game And Trailer From The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase June 2022
I was very dissapointed yesterday after the words 'Mini' and 'Partner' were mentioned, but it honestly was much better than expected.
Re: Mario + Rabbids Sparks Of Hope Launches On Switch This October
Love the first game, but the new mechanics in this one.... not so much
Re: Watch: Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase
Much better than expected, although I did not like the new Mario+Rabbids mechanics, which was an easy buy for me
Re: Nintendo Direct Mini To Air Tomorrow, June 28
Disappointment
Re: Video: We Haven't Had A Nintendo Direct Yet, But That's Fine

Re: A Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct Will Be Airing This Wednesday
@Pikachupwnage I hope so...
Re: A Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct Will Be Airing This Wednesday
Ok, as most here I am happy for the XC fans, but this really looks like bad bad news for a proper Nintendo Direct this month
Re: Random: Devolver 'Invents' Tom Clancy's Animal Crossing, And Now We Need It
@UltimateOtaku91 and you can have it now, with Super Animal Royale. Haven't played that in a while

Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?
@FargusPelagius WOWW, regretting Switch but not Wii U while having both? I Respect it, but still surprised

Great Timing for the update! I just finished SMTV today and my next game in the backlog is either this or Mario+Rabbids, depending on the mood
Re: Poll: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
No Money...
Bought two games this month during the sale. Never thought that the reviews were going to be so good for PLA. Maybe in a couple of months
Re: Awesome Triangle Strategy Trailer Introduces Frederica And New Gameplay
If it has a better story than Octopath (Not Difficult), then it is a day one for me. Looks Amazing.
Re: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Is 'Exhilarating' And At Times 'Surprisingly Difficult' According To Japanese Media
"Surprisingly Difficult" a Pokemon game of today?!? Now they got my attention again.

Re: Tails Of Iron Gets Expansive Free 'Bloody Whiskers' DLC
This game looks so cool. The only thing keeping me from buying it is the reviews saying it is too short. But it just looks so good
Re: Nintendo Announces Huge Cyber Deals Sale Starting Today, Up To 50% Off Top Switch Games (North America)
Tetris Effect may be a good choice to get now and play in between some of my SMTV sessions.
Sadly, I was hoping for a Disco Elysium discount too but seems like it is not happening.
Re: Poll: What's The Best Pokémon Game Ever?
Emerald 1st.
All of Gen2 in second place due to the second region post-game

"Over-levelling is very easy"... It seems to be getting worse with each entry. So happy that I used my money on SMTV instead.

Re: Zelda: BotW, Super Mario 64 And Pokémon GO Shortlisted For The Golden Joystick 'Ultimate Game Of All Time' Award
Not a bad list, but I would have chosen Ocarina of Time instead of BOTW. Also, RDR2 would have been a perfect inclusion too
Re: Triangle Strategy Gets A Snazzy New Trailer
Looks amazing and I love the combat. I just hope that the story is much better compared to Octopath Traveler
