Re: Rumour: It's Not Even September And Nintendo Direct Rumours Have Already Started

Diowine

I was so disappointed after the lack of a proper main Nintendo Direct in June after the rumors that I finally decided to buy Ps Plus Extra and for the first time I found myself going to PushSquare much more often than here. This is the longest time I haven't touched my Switch since I bought it in 2017.
But I'm still hoping for some good news such as a Wind Waker port. In the meantime, nothing interesting until Scarlet/Violet in November for me

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: What Are The Differences? All Version-Exclusive Pokémon And More

Diowine

@a_brave_new_geek if you are looking for a great JRPG Story welll..... none of those franchises will give you one. If you are looking for a challenge then SMTV all the way, specially in hard mode. I still buy Pokemon games due to the atmotsphere, nostalgia and because I kind of feel them to be relaxing. But if you never played a pokemon game before... without challenge, nostalgia and a good story most of the times...3 strikes. Go for SMTV if you are a newcomer to both series, which will also have more familiar monsters for you as they are mostly based in gods from diverse religions.
Anyways, I will still buy one of these 2 Pokemon games probably, even tough I always end up complaining that they get easier with every entry, and not because one is getting older or with more experience.

Re: Poll: What's Your Game Of The Year 2022 So Far?

Diowine

Overall GOTY and possible game of the Decade as some mentioned is ELDEN RING for sure.
Switch related, I am still playing Triangle Strategy, but has been the best so far this year.
EDIT: I forgot about Disco Elysium. It is N1 Switch game I played this year definitively

Re: Video: Why You Should Play The Persona Series On Switch

Diowine

I've waited a long time for this game to be on switch because I also prefer long RPGs to be played handheld as some mentioned. Sadly, I recently heard that these games are too easy compared to others such as SMT or DQ on their hard/draconian modes, which I found really appealing due to the challenge and having to think each boss cautiously (Although I confess dying a lot) which is part of the fun.

Re: Video: We Haven't Had A Nintendo Direct Yet, But That's Fine

Diowine

Actually I am playing the last game on my current switch backlog (Triangle Strategy) but there is nothing launching soon that I really want to check (Still not sold on XC3), so if the Direct is not released soon with juicy announcements, then I will be getting the ps plus extra subscription next and focus on games like Ghost of Tsushima and Demon's Souls until BOTW2, Silksong or something of that magnitude is released

Re: Take-Two Raises Eyebrows With Lavish Praise For FIFA Brand

Diowine

A welcome possibility. I think that they will make a better game than EA. Goodbye to Switch and future Nintendo consoles probably, but what we have been receiving is trash anyways. I will be happy with an improved game in other consoles now.
The real downside is that we are probably loosing the $20ish sale just one month after each release every year now.

Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?

Diowine

Animal Crossing New Horizons
I knew it was not for me, but with the lockdowns starting at that time, no other big releases and everyone hyping about it... I just fell in the trap. I understand why everyone else loves it, but it just isn't my cup of tea. Luckily a few weeks later I discovered Hollow Knight and that was something else

Re: Random: Elden Ring Just Dethroned Mario Odyssey At The Top Of OpenCritic's 'Best Game' List

Diowine

@Branches Yes, if you had an unlimited budget and time to play all the games that seem at least a little interesting to you, then yes, who would care about critics' reviews. But as that is not the case for most people and you need to choose, universal acclaim like this definitively encourages you to try the game. I played 8 out of 10 of those games listed above, and for me, critics were right

Re: Tilted Towers Returns To Fortnite, And Now There Are Dinosaurs

Diowine

For me too, this is an end-of-the-day unwind game with friends.
I tend to play it on PS4 instead of switch, but this weekend I sent the PS4 back to my brother (we take turns with it, switch is mine), and playing Fortnite back on Switch is a bigger downgrade than I remembered. But still fun

Re: Video: Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has Us Excited (And Scared)

Diowine

I got really excited about this one when first announced, but the interest has been decreasing since, especially as it has been moving from a BOTW like to an MH-like game with each trailer and update, which I do not prefer. If the reviews are fine and there is at least some degree of challenge in the game (something pokemon has totally lost in the last years), it can still be a good option

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V Is Getting Its First Update, Here Are The Patch Notes

Diowine

This is my first entry in the SMT games and it has been much better than expected. The story is not great so far (30 hours in), but the gameplay is superb. I am playing it on hard, having to grind a little, but never had to repeat a boss more than 2-3 times. It forces you to understand the mechanics and build a solid competent team according to the occasion in that difficulty. And I love it. Game of the year so far for me.

Re: Round Up: The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Reviews Are In

Diowine

@Rpg-lover absolutely. But each game is easier than the last and that is not good either. You cannot compare Gold/Silver era with the SwSh. I literally finished it without using a single revive or losing a battle. It was lame. I would add difficulty options as most jrpgs do these days. I am not asking for SMT´s hard or Dragon Quest´s Draconian Quests difficulty (It would be amazing), but give us something more
