@kfflscnt huh? where’d you get that idea from? The spiderverse movies are only “diverse” so not every single variant of spider-man in the multiverse is a white, teenage Peter Parker with the same hairstyle, personality and eyecolor.
I got like 50 digital games and 20 physical, some of which have giant file sizes, yet 400GB is still holding up really well for me, with 270-ish GBs used (I can easily free up 100 of that by deleting NBA 2k which I don’t play lol)
"Fiddly cart slot cover" is something ive never encountered, even when my nails are trimmed down to the center of the earth i can still open them just fine
The biggest things i think are needed are better online w/ VC in-system, good battery life, analogue triggers, new joycons that are bigger (maybe somewhat resembling the SNES controller shape), and obviously an actually functional eshop (bring back the app version and music!)
The biggest things i want include (but not limited to): Miiverse, NEW entries in games neglected on switch 1 (Mario Kart (technically not neglected but didnt get a new entry), Golden Sun, M&L, etc) and since were probably not getting OLED, a good and high-quality LCD screen this time.
The GBA one has grown on me so much that I honestly prefer it The NES version just looks weird and buggy at times, the SNES while pretty good visually never really hooked me, but for some reason the GBA version did
@sanderev yeah, Disney, Sony, Microsoft, etc are definitely way bigger then Nintendo for sure, I’m just saying that Nintendo probably isn’t too far behind from the giants though, and if they keep it up they’ll probably become one within a decade or two.
Or not, because Sony and Microsoft (for example) are bigger somewhat due to things like selling various electronics not related to gaming (laptops, headphones, etc) and being successful in those fields, and Sony specifically is also more successful due to their movies too (well, some. most of their movies aren’t that good and iirc, didn’t do well) and unless Nintendo can make movies on their own without help from another entity like Illumination, and can be able to start selling physical products not entirely related to gaming, they could just stay in the same position even if in the perfect scenario their next system became the best selling one of all time. (correct me if I’m wrong)
@sanderev fair, though id still argue they’re not that far behind and are quickly catching up They launched a theme park, made a movie and soon about to make many more, while also about to release another console soon which hopefully leads to good success If they keep it up, they most certainly will be on par
@robotoboy20 80% is far too high, I get what your saying but that’s not true
The higher-ups sadly do get loads of cash shoved in their pockets for just sitting down and talking, but the developers actually do get paid a solid amount too from what I’ve seen (iirc, didn’t Nintendo increase salaries of some of their devs around the time TotK came out? Correct me if I’m wrong)
I honestly kinda like how the demo is only at kiosks, it allows for some unique interaction with the outside world like how it was back then instead of just clicking a few buttons at home Less convenient, yes. But more memorable
Can’t wait for all the fanfiction brickfilms that kids will make depicting animal crossing characters and ninjago characters fighting off the impending doom together with a surprise cameo from Lego Minecraft! 💀
Me, who wanted to continue playing MK7 online and try out Splatoon 1.
Well, atleast we got Pretendo Network 🤷♂️
PN will be a necessity with 3DS Homebrew now that FCs are dead on 3DS and stuff like hShop won’t work due to requiring an internet connection
I’m gonna buy a new copy of MK8 Wii U to replace my broken one, just to play online in the final moments.
Personally, I enjoyed the water temple (I assumed that’s what you’re talking about), I can’t put a finger on why but I just kinda liked it.
Social Media does have an impact on enjoyment of games when they first release, and I wish it wasn’t that way but it is -_- I only use YT and I had a blast at launch (with 100 hours in the first 2 weeks)
@HeadPirate Hm, I didn’t know what games were fully in-house made and what weren’t of sony, that is something I’ll give you.
But… 1. It isn’t a bad thing that sony isn’t making everything in-house, this is literally what i desire Microsoft to do too; use their many acquired studios and grow 2. I am not a “Sony Pony” or PlayStation worshipper or whatever you wanna call it. I used PS as an example of what Microsoft can do with their many IPs if they just set making them as their primary focus. (plus I literally just bashed Sony 2 weeks ago for psplus) Also, saying “___ company did better then ___ in this regard” is NOT worship in anyway. Look at the definition. 3: So if we’re gonna count the origins of GoW as not-from-sony, then we need to count the origins of Halo as not from Microsoft as halo was originally being developed for Mac as a third-person game not by Microsoft.
I don’t want this fight to continue, it shouldn’t have even started in the first place. All I originally said is that Microsoft could increase their marketshare by utilizing their bought IPs from Bethesda, Rare, etc. I didn’t make any hint that they were the worst company on the planet or that I am some worshipper of Sony or anything like that.
@HeadPirate Okay, maybe they’re not buying everything alone; but unlike Sony they are FOCUSING on acquisitions.
This is NOT a case of “company worship” and don’t even dare try to brush it off as that.
Throughout this generation of consoles, Sony has released a mostly consistent stream of games (R&C:RA, GOW:R, HFW, SM2/SM:MM, etc granted some are better then others for sure in terms of quality) meanwhile Microsoft has struggled to keep a consistent line-up, and when they do release games they often lack good-enough quality (Halo Infinite, Redfall, etc)
I’m saying that if Microsoft just took a step back and focused on development of their currently-acquired IPs over acquiring new ones they wont use; then they could have a bigger market share that way.
Also, you randomly made a mention about how Nintendo isn’t #1? What the hell does that have to do with what I said?
“So you can choose to go on being angry about Rare and calling MS's the worst thing that's ever happened to gaming”
I never even mentioned rare?! I just said that MS should just make use of their current IPs instead of neglecting them and I didn’t even say MS is the worst thing to ever happen to gaming smh.
Please don’t misinterpret what I say again.
Thanks.
@HeadPirate Well, if Microsoft stopped trying to buy literally every studio and made actual, good games with what huge IPs they already got, then they can get a higher market share more easily, yet they’re stuck releasing 1 or 2 30FPS-locked games a year on “the most powerful console”
even if Microsoft had enough money to buy Nintendo
1. Nintendo wouldnt likely even accept
2. The law would prevent this immediately
3. Japan would not be happy.

Re: Sony Is Co-Financing Nintendo's Live-Action Zelda Movie
@Thomystic if he is on the board, I think he probably was fine with TLOZ being made with Sony.
Illumination isn’t known for live-action besides that movie we don’t talk about (Hop), so they wouldn’t work.

Can’t wait for Nintendo to drop Sony to have Phillips publish the movie!
